I saw them on December in 2016 and I had given up music, to study a subject which I ‘believed would have more of a future’... I saw them 2 years into my degree and was so overwhelmingly gobsmacked... mainly by Roberts voice, that I turned to my brother and said, I’m going back to music and I’m going to dedicate my entire life to it. I got back, told my tutors the term after Christmas that I wanted to study my final year of my degree in the music department. They pulled a loooot of strings, and I was put on the final year of a music degree, essentially meaning I did 3 years in one year which finished this July. I got 3% off a first, and now I’m studying a music masters and have a studio ❤️ cheers Robert haha
Oh yes and at the end of The 13th he says ''And next time we'll play for real''. Because of the playback which was normal for Festivalbar. Unfortunately that 'next time' never came! :(

Non potevo ancora capire la grandezza dei Cure, e non sapevo ancora che sarebbe diventata la mia band preferita in assoluto, nonostante The 13th e Mint car non siano tra le migliori (a mio avviso) che abbiano realizzato.

I do like a good lip sync from the cure, but I don't understand why they would use lip sync with this performance. It seems like a lot of people to watch them not play.
Most of the time it’s per request from the organizers to make it sound more “genuine” and energetic. The only way the bound allowed it was they must’ve been payed a stupid amount to go with it.
kind of odd, seems lipsynced to me. I love the cure and they're great live but this audio seems to be ripped from a cd... was that just how this festival was?
yes festivalbar performances were mostly synced..I am kind of disappointed to find out the cure did this..even if Wild Mood Swings was probably their worst record anyway.

This very document from that festival is such a sad one. At best this is like a weird dream after which one would wake up in cold sweat, relieved it was "just a dream". But this was real, a dreadful context to drag such an amazing band into. The hosts, the audience, jeez what a freaking nightmare! Despite their obvious piss take on the whole thing, the group itself still looks like a caricature, accepting to lipsync and strike a pose for the large sum of money, giving this kind of audience what they truly deserve - a generic, playback performance... Just awful. The Pula Arena would be a great place for the band to play a proper concert though.
