I love when someone's listening to a talk radio show or podcast so it just sounds like someone in the car is completely ignoring the situation at hand to continue their story
There's a scene in Big Hero 6 where they are running (driving) away from a huge villain and the driver signals his turns. The passenger gets SO mad at him for that! LOL!!
0:43 Cammer is 100% in the wrong. The driver in front is well within their right to stop at the yield regardless of the traffic in the roundabout. People who drive like the cammer are the reason other people develop anxiety around driving.
As a DOT certified Traffic Officer, I can 100% confirm you are correct. Moreover, as someone who spent the first 15 years of their time as a driver driving big pickup trucks and hauling, when you are hauling a trailer with thousands of extra pounds, the responsibility is on YOU to make sure YOU give EXTRA space in front of you and apply EXTRA caution before proceeding because YOU are FING HEAVY and it will take MUCH more distance and time to come to a STOP in an EMERGENCY. Had their been a collision, cammer would be 100% at fault and would receive a citation for "fail to maintain safe speed"
Not to mention that there was a vehicle in the roundabout already. True, the other driver had plenty of time to go, but they're not required to. But I'm guessing the driver was yielding to the SUV.
Recently there was a woman in front of me as we approached a roundabout. There was nobody in the vicinity besides the two of us. She came to a complete stop at the beginning of the roundabout, then turned on her blinker, then I saw her looking back and forth several times. She finally slowly pulled into the roundabout, went halfway around, then came to another complete stop, put on her blinker again, then slowly pulled off the roundabout. Was she "well within her right to stop regardless of the traffic in the roundabout"? Absolutely not. She was impeding traffic, same as the person in this video. That's dangerous and illegal.
@terribletruth8201 I'm so glad someone else called that out. The amount of times at the roundabouts near my house that I yielded and prevented an accident because NO ONE ELSE yielded or sped through the roundabout is absolutely insane.
no.. yield means give right of way to oncoming traffic. yes, you CAN stop at a yield but it's entirely unnecessary if there is no traffic or you're clear to proceed.
Given there was almost ZERO TRAFFIC, and just one car, AND you only need to look left at round abouts like this for cars, Im genuinely disappointed in the 123 people who liked this OP comment. that car had 3 business days to go. they hoped for a rear end collision cause they saw he was a hauler.
@@xIronMikex They were yielding to the car entering the roundabout. It was fine for to do that, and safer than cutting in front of the moving vehicle to their left.
@@Orizzle1870 There was 8 seconds from full stop to truck being in front of the car. Stopping at that point of time was entirely unreasonable. In roundabouts multiple people are able to enter at once, but the car stopped before the truck entered the roundabout.
Not brave enough to take responsibility for a likely MINOR bumping, the moron runs (using directionals to help the pursuing driver, so polite!) but they speed, pass on the right, then slam into a power distribution box causing a power outage and more damage to their own (or more likely stolen) car, and racking up even more costs for themselves if they ever get caught. Then they flee on foot. Humans are the worst.
Not blaming the victim here, but cammer really didn't have to break-check them by slamming on his brakes well before the light. The illegals must have been following too closely, but with how a lot of bad drivers and illegals out there, it's just not worth wasting your day to have someone ram into you from behind, even if you're not in the wrong.
The victims of the head on collision were a mother and son from San Jose. May they rest in peace. The driver isn’t even local and has been arrested for drug possession and driving without a license in the past. And of course he survived the crash.
I hate the excuse "they were too cautious". Ok so? It is their call. Should you be allowed to plow into them if they wait 3 seconds longer than you expected?
Yup. The cammer is the one that doesn't understand how roundabouts work. And LOL at the "I was towing so much weight and had to stop unexpectedly" when he had plenty of time and space to react.
You do make a valid point, but the one thing I would argue in this situation is that if the driver ahead of the cammer driver went straight on without yielding, it wouldn’t have even been a close call like the description explained. Both cars would have been able to successfully clear the way of the white car to the left WITHOUT needing to yield to them. The cammer was also carrying heavy items as well which made the task of stopping in time more difficult.
@@RangersFanatic275 It's still the cammer's fault if he had hit the car in front, The driver in front; possibly unsure about what to do; stops in a safe position. The cammer should allow plenty of space to stop in time without braking harshly. I don't know for sure in the US, but here in the UK if you hit someone in the rear; without a very good reason; you are at fault 100%. IMO the cammer's the idiot here for complaining about a driver holding him up for a few seconds. Yes, it would have been for the driver in front had driven through, but we can't have everything.
@@ChromaKeyMystress Yes... which is how roundabouts work. I have a traffic circle in my town that I drive through every single day. That SUV was over 20 yards away and the jeep could have simply continued. Worst case scenario the white SUV might need to slow down a bit to let the semi pass, but other than that, no harm no foul. You're acting like the SUV was like right at the sign, and it wasn't. No one in my town would have stopped for that SUV, they would have continued, and nothing bad would have happened. It's not being safe, it's being overly cautious and disturbing the flow of traffic unnecessarily. You only STOP at yield signs if a vehicle is too close by the time you reach the sign or if there is a line of traffic approaching, but you can see traffic coming a mile away and should be able to judge what you should do regardless, not come to a dead stop like the jeep and semi did. I would have already spotted the SUV well before I reached the sign, and if it is already closely approaching the sign I would have simply slowed down, let it pass, then continue. *That is how roundabouts work. They are not INTERSECTIONS, they are designed to allow traffic flow.* Yield signs are not STOP signs, you are generally supposed to slow down. You only stop at yield signs if necessary, but you should already be able to see traffic approaching and slow down to allow them to pass without any need to stop. If you fail to do so, that's on you. Both the cammer and jeep were wrong. Stopping was unnecessary but not illegal. Carry on.
3:20 Why is no on talking about this one??? The complete chaos that lady managed to create in under 20 seconds is so insane it's actually impressive. She pulls into TWO LANES of oncoming traffic, proceeds to hit another car when she doesn't brake after inevitably getting hit, then nearly hits ANOTHER car when she reverses out of the second victim's vehicle without looking behind her. The level of stupidity is truly astounding.
@@MatchstickMan I HIGHLY doubt it, because she claimed to be bumped into traffic, which would mean the car behind her would have to have damage on it and her rear would need to have damage for her pursue insurance -- all her damage was on the side and front end. Fraudsters are dumb, but not that stupid.
Cammer may well have not needed to stop if not for the lead car. The lead car is full-stopped for about 7 seconds before the vehicle in the circle passes that point. Probably enough time for both to enter; certainly enough for the lead car to have cleared and give the cammer a bit of extra braking distance. It's one thing if it's a blind corner but this is a roundabout during the day with one vehicle in the circle. Visibility doesn't get much better than that. The thing with Yield signs is you only stop if you need to. You don't treat it like a stop sign, where you always stop regardless of the presence of traffic. Moving into the circle is no different from merging onto a freeway; you move forward unless you cannot.
@@LeScratch89 The thing with cars stopping in front of you is if you don't brake you hit them. the cammer is an idiot for driving as if the car in front was going to continue as they approach a yield
@@LeScratch89 Regardless if the front car did have time to pull out there, there is no way to blast the person on the horn if they felt safer waiting just a bit longer for the oncoming traffic passes. Yeah, you get to sit there for a few more seconds, but the cammer made it sound like he was going to crash into that person because they didn't move forward as they expected. Wouldn't say it was dumb driving on the front car, but more over cautious.
@@LeScratch89 You truly should not drive if you think it's ok to just go through a yield sign and not actually stop for the traffic coming at you. There was oncoming traffic and the YIELD SIGN indicates you are NOT supposed to proceed if someone is coming. Your license should be taken away, if you even have one.
I will say, that bit did bother the heck out of me. End of the day, you should be at a safe speed and distance from the person in front in case of an emergency stop or other hazard, but the cammers stop did seem HELLA sus when I watched it. He basically slammed on the breaks way before the actual intersection. 5:20 okay but are you not brake checking him at this moment? gunning it and you slammed the brakes, it doesnt excuse the other drivers behavior but idk id like to see 1-2 mins before this part
Not a brake check, no, as the light they were both coming up on was red. Brake checking would be doing that without a justifiable cause -- in this case the traffic light. Just really stupid and improper driving. There was absolutely no reason to brake that hard and that quickly, nor coming to a complete stop 15-feet from the intersections stop-line. He definitely played into that collision happening, but the person behind him is completely at fault. You should, at all times, be following at a distance behind a vehicle with enough space that if you need to slam on your brakes you will not smack into them. So responsibility wise, followers fault; morally and logically, the cammers fault.
I looked this intersection up on Google Earth. Even though what he did was technically legal, he could have avoided the whole situation by going into the strip mall the back way.
The worst part is he's wrong. Protected green arrows only protect left turns. While it's legal to make a u-turn, it's not protected and the driver must yeild to others in the intersection. Think of any intersection that has a green right arrow at the same time as a green left. A protected u-turn doesn't make sense.
@@HoshiHikarino "Protected green arrows only protect left turns" This is actually not true in most cases. A protected green arrow DOES mean that the U-Turn has the right of way, UNLESS a U-turn is illegal by state law, local ordinance, or traffic control signage (*we don't see the light facing the white car so the assumption is that it was red and not displaying a green right-turn arrow*). Since the driver of the white car was making a right-on-red maneuver, the white car MUST yield to other traffic. I would have absolutely used my horn in this circumstance and it would have been justified to let the other driver know they f'd up. I would NOT have sped around them in an attempt to "educate" them. That is where the cammer screwed up, not the horn honk.
@@austin5856 That's incorrect. A protected green arrow protects the direction the arrow is pointing only. A left green arrow protects left hand turns and right green arrow protect right turns. There are also protected green uturn lights although they are rare. It's common for a green right turn to be on at the same time as a green left is for the perpendicular street which is exactly what happened in the video. The protected left does not overwrite a protected right in the case of uturns.
00:43 "Yielding to nobody..." *except that giant white SUV everyone else watching can see clearly?* 🤔 "I had to stop suddenly," but wouldn't he have had to stop for the SUV anyway? Cool that you have a protected green arrow, but most people (myself included) are thinking you're going to turn left, not pull a u-turn. If you had turned left, unless it's posted that you can't, he's perfectly free to turn right on red. Honestly, lots of people will use you turning left as a barrier to them turning right, because oncoming traffic will run into you before it runs into them. All this to say, maybe, just maybe, you go, "Ah. He thought I was turning left. That's why he went. Makes sense." Not everyone on the road is out to get you. Have a little grace. None of us is a mind reader. If you're that quick to anger, I don't think you can handle the responsibility of operating a motor vehicle. Good grief.

FALSE. There has to be a sign that says "NO U-Turns" for the cam car to be wrong, and there wasn't. Look up the rules for turning on red. To make that right turn, there must be no traffic in the intersection and it must be safe. The only way to make sure it is safe is to wait to see what the cam car is going to do. This gives him the right of way. 3. He went to fast through the intersection and clearly didn't look where he was going or else he would've seen the suv turning. 4. @@trailerwookie Still have to yield to traffic that are turning right into that lane or are approaching from the other side of the intersection. Cammer still at fault and didn't yield properly. Opinion disgarded.
The reason that the truck jacknifed in the first vid is because he had no trailer brakes. No brakes in mostly fine with an empty trailer, but once you add weight it's a whole different story. In his case, that's not a lightweight trailer, despite being empty, and he also probably had no weight in the pickup bed, so with the trailer pushing, and the light tail on the pickup, the truck brakes locked up and that was the result. And from the looks of that old pickup, I'd bet that he was running near bald rubber on it also.
In the UK, the only trailers that are allowed to be unbraked are tiny, light weight 2-wheel things. Once it gets over a certain weight it is a legal requirement to have working brakes. A four wheel trailer of that size must have working brakes.
@@Procrastinator1948 UK trailers have automatic braking activated on the tow hitch, as the car brakes, a cylinder on the trailer gets compressed which activates the wheel brakes. It just works.

0:39 - So, what he's saying is he had no intention of yielding if the car in front of him didn't stop first.

@@mdf3530 That’s interesting, it definitely seems like the guy was looking for conflict.

None of us is a mind reader. If you're that quick to anger, I don't think you can handle the responsibility of operating a motor vehicle. Good grief.
The driver turning on the red is completely in the wrong. It is his obligation to make sure there is NO other vehicle near him when he is making a right on red. He can legally make a right on red ONLY if the intersection is clear. Period.
@@trailerwookieYeah, I get that. But the situation is easily explained by what I wrote. My commentary is on the way the cammer handled the situation, not on whether or not he's right. Is it a frustrating situation? Sure. But there's a logical reason why it happened, and the cammer flying into a rage over an honest mistake is too much. He escalated a non-event, because they didn't actually collide.
@@kaylinsmith6921 trailerwookie is secretly the cammer in the video
@@kaylinsmith6921 Honestly. Yes Mr Adams, call the police. So they can see you road-raging and making threats, and thus arrest you for it. The moving violation might be in your favor but the rest of this is not.
Lot of projection going on there.
@@trailerwookie Every place people even remotely think of u-turning in my state (green arrow or not) has a sign saying "U-turns yield to right on red" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ as soon as he pulled that I was like....dude you gotta yield to the right turns??? Didn't realize this wasn't standard
I have no clue why people even try to make U-turns under any circumstances.
Uh, a lot of roads have medians that don't let you make a left turn into various parking lots, so to get to them you have to drive 1/2 mile past where it is to the light and make a uturn so you can go back and turn right into the parking lot.
It’s so heart warming seeing all these adults with such amazing emotional regulation skills 😍 really makes me feel safe in public
7:32 broooooo what!? That is crazy 😂 I wish I got a dashcam way sooner to capture the amount of crazy things I’ve seen the awful drivers of NJ do, also to catch people who hit my car while parked 😒
So many people in these videos drive like no other cars are around them. They blindly follow rules without understanding how other people drive.
1:23 If you are in the left lane and see someone coming up fast behind you, turn on your signal and move over to the right as soon as it is legal and safe to do so.
10:55 that dashcam guy was 100% at fault. That green arrow was for left turns not u-turns. There was no indication that he was going to do a u-turn. He should have gone in the near lane first. The white SUV is allowed to make a right on a red. That's common sense.
Cam vehicle has a protected green which allows him to turn left OR make a U-Turn. Other vehicle has to stop. Period.
@@trailerwookie Yes u turns are legal. but the Cam car made a couple of mistakes that put him at fault.
1. He didn't pull into the near lane before moving to the far lane. This would have prevented the incident and is the law in most areas and common sense in all.
2. The white suv started his turn before the truck entered the intersection. This gives him the right of way.
3. He went to fast through the intersection and clearly didn't look where he was going or else he would've seen the suv turning.
4. He immediately sped up to tailgate the white suv and layed on the horn. this shows he is not a considerate, calm or thoughtful driver.
@@trailerwookie Still have to yield to traffic that are turning right into that lane or are approaching from the other side of the intersection. Cammer still at fault and didn't yield properly.
Opinion disgarded.
Jamming to Betty Davis Eyes should be illegal , avoiding the accident, good work
truck driver complaining about the stopped jeep at 0:44 , was gonna pull a 1:46 like that van...
3:20 Perfect example of why you don't do that
0:35 you are in the wrong mate.
@@poruatokin If people there are anything like people here, then the issue becomes whether or not the fools even hook the brakes up.
@@Procrastinator1948 UK trailers have automatic braking activated on the tow hitch, as the car brakes, a cylinder on the trailer gets compressed which activates the wheel brakes. It just works.
Those bozos who rear-ended the Colorado guy, should they ever be caught, are going to have a LOT of explaining to do. And not just to the DMV or their insurance. They probably cost the power company $20K for the power box. And for what? A minor fender bender? Seriously, this is insane
Car was probably stolen.
5:20 - So, even though you had their license plate #, you decided to play hot dog cop wannabe chasing them for quite a while, endangering others, for a busted back up light and parking sensor. Hopefully, law enforcement sees your video and hits you with a few charges, too.
No we got an amazing piece of film, lol
2:23 that kind of partial overlap crash used to be deadly
Yeah, congratulations, after 40 straight years of testing overlap crashes in closed environments and constantly complaining about how awful all the vehicles are we finally get to see one happen.
4:25 Honestly, I could probably just listen to all the Distractible podcasts by watching these videos, lol.
8:57 I can hear the cop's reaction now. " * Exasperated sigh * Paperwork... Goddammit....."
5:33 OH HELL NAW 😂😂
Damn that second to last clip was golden
I don't get why people who have video recording or ability to take a screenshot of the person in the wrong...why would you put yourself in danger, risk getting pulled over, or put others in danger by CHASING the perpetrator? You got the damn footage, now get to a safe area, pull over, and call the police. Or give the footage to the police at the station. Good grief.
7:05
"Dude you just hit me, you need to pull over"
*30 seconds later *
"Not like that wtf"
The dude making the u-turn to pick up his food has incredible patience. As soon as the dude threatened to "break my neck" and still didnt f**k off.... he 100% would have had a gun pulled on him.
7:00 "Dude, you need to pull over."
7:33 Dude pulls over.
4:05 Reminds me of the drivers that stop in the right hand lane, sit the whole light through with no blinker on and when the light turns green, then suddenly the blinker appears and they turn right.
Also with no, "no right on red" sign present.
Benjamin Adams isn’t normal and should not be on the road. I’m on the other driver’s side. Left arrow, means turn left, not Willy nilly go where you want. Sorry, but not even all up there in his mind. Strip his license from him. Crazy! Super weird
What are you talking about roundabouts? Half should not be driving, they can't merge, change lanes, pass and get out of the way, pass.
give space! I look at a large portion of these highway videos and about 90% of them are not giving enough space... it's how many accidents occur.
Dont think the benjamin guy handled it quite right. Not the safest course. Just my thoughts though
The guy who said that he had a protected green light is the same guy who refuses to put his window down because he's a sovereign citizen😂
0:49 is so annoying LOL who cares just let them yield. its like you still stop at a stop sign when theres no one around bc someone will pull you over for that. its okay to follow a sign bruh
