I just tell u what will happen. This is also what is happening on other car maker. They are all catching up with Tesla. So all car maker has management issue ? The problem for uaw will big it worse. You guys will speed up big 3 to automatic the production process.
serious, the ev is not simple. The battery management , The new transmission even the tire is not the same. Everything need to redesign. Do you think u can buy a Tesla to copy it? This is the reason only Tesla has the ev car with less issue. And you really want the modern management? Do you know what is pip? Personal improve plan. They keep firing the employees with lower performance. And Tesla has fully automatic plant which only need 20-30% of ppl compared to big 3. Gl

@@lung21 Well yes, manufacturing will continue to get more automated over time, that is inevitable.
Whether or not it replaces people entirely? Thats for us to decide actually, and who we vote for. Its just another worker protection at the end of the day.
It wont be an easy road, but this dystopian vision of a world where everything is made by robots, and noone has a job, will not be reality.

As a manager at my current job, I can't join a union, but I support unions and come from a family and area that was built by unions.
I've seen what happens when large industrial firms pull out of areas. It devastates the community. I also know that my salary goes up when my employees' salary goes up.
I support unions and respect strikes. I canceled my chevy colorado order the day the strike took effect. I know the union hasn't called for a boycott yet but I felt it was the right thing to do!

C-level executives aren't worried about driving the vehicles us ordinary people drive. They don't even need to drive, because they can afford to be chauffeured around. So, who has an incentive to build high quality products? Obviously, the union members. And, who has an incentive to build products that break down and drive people back to OEM parts? Obviously management.
