    Your review is actually very useful, thank you. It would be great if you could record anything with microphone on the RMCE-BT2 to compare sound quality.

    Thank you Stan! Your points are well taken and are valid. I really appreciate your last point about cable fit/connection on the RMCE-BT2. That is really important especially when you are wearing these hours on end as I often do. I hope Sure design engineers are listening and watching this as I was looking at the RMCE-BT2's the other day to add to my Sure options having multiple Sure monitors. Thanks again for the review!

    Thank you for going into cable feel and ear fit! I'm absolutely that dude who will end up not using a product because it's inconvenient. If its too much of a hassle, or has an uncomfortable fit (or bounces around while exercising!), I just end up using low-quality backups. So you can imagine how cautious I am about wire ear supports!
    Anyway, good in-depth review with a good listen-able delivery! Seems like a little thing but with all the reviews I've been listening to researching a new pair of IEM's, it's VERY much appreciated!

    Bought it from Amazon on special, attached it to my Westone and ran for 5km with it and it played well, sound wasn’t interrupted, it stayed in my ear all the time, clipped the plate onto my shirt, the wires contoured to my big, irregular ears. Good replacement wire altogether. And for 65% off regular, it was a deal.

    Great well covered comprehensive review thank you. I run my 535s mostly on cable (still prefered for sound quality & audio phonics) & BT1 only get used for exercising (shitty Bluetooth performance & Codex) so gonna have to try these out to compare.

    The module goes on back, not front. Clips to collor

    • @ChrisB-bi6qc
      @ChrisB-bi6qc 5 лет назад +5

      Dan Aguilar in all the official photos press etc the module is designed for being worn at the front and now having owned it it’s definitely really the only comfortable option. I’m someone who always wears the shure SE range down the back and this felt a little weird at first but all cool and great sound and massive improvement over the BT1.

      I don't think so, there are controls on it, so it should be meant for the front

      Tristan Swatridge , I think so, it’s not as loud as the wires, but it should be plenty loud enough for the majority of people.Good luck with your decision.

    The cable length was such a missed opportunity. It looks practically unusable at the gym especially if you're wearing a scoop-necked or v-necked shirt. Good on you for being upfront about that feature. Many thanks for the detailed review!

    I think musicians generally run the cable through your back.

    Mine arrived today. Using it with a pair of 846. Sounds just as good as with wired which I wasn't expecting.
    Maybe try clipping the module to the back of your shirt?

    I'm surprised having the $1,000 Shure version you didn't find a big difference in sound quality using the BT2, I quickly noticed a lack of base and air using the BT2 on my SE535LTD, S10+, with FLAC files. I also hated the length of the cable and wounder why they couldn't just put all the controls on the transmitter section and left out the little one on the cable. I'm trying the next Shure attempt at losing the cable, the TW1 is a complete change in direction.

    You can use a sharp blade to remove the outer sheathing and a then set of needle nose pilers to remove the memory wire.
    Be very careful! Cut too deep and you risk cutting the cable below.

      @@SuprUsrStan Plenty of how to videos here and walkthroughs on Head-Fi. I can't stand the memory wire and removing it is 100% worth it, imo.

    Can you use the earbuds while it's charging? I'm trying to decide between buying the RMCE-BT2 or the RMCE-UNI, but I only have one pair of earbuds for commute, hands on work, and for desktop use. I'm worried the earbuds would run out of battery while at the desktop and leave me with nothing to listen with.
    I had 2 RMCE-UNI before, but both of them broke at the adjustable part, so I rather get one or the other and not both BT and wired cables.

    Good review. Im 846 user as well, and bought this 2months ago, just because this new model supports aac. I listen music thru iphone xr and most of my tracks are itunes matched aac files. So i assume if i listen to aac files, does that mean there is no extra transcoding, and just plays the file as it is? I honestly feel it sounds less punchier and less sound stage compared to bt-1 .. kinda disappointed..

    BT2 creates more cable noise than BT1 even wind noise compared both on 846. Only advantage is battery life and Bluetooth version 5 in BT2. Soft cable more comfortable

    AptX has nothing on LDAC though, companies need to capitalise on Sony’s LDAC codec if they actually want to complete with HiRes wireless audio. Sony’s WH-1000XM3’s have LDAC and cost £350 vs the Shures being over £800. If wireless audio is a driving factor of the purchase, buy the Sony’s at a fraction of the cost, you’ll get more from the LDAC support

    do they really work for isolating louder environments like being in a live gig and using them to playalong with ?

    • @SuprUsrStan
      @SuprUsrStan  4 года назад

      That’s more of a function of the actual earbuds than the Bluetooth cable. Shures are designed for musicians and live performance, isolation and sound quality etc. Even the over ear design is meant for you to throw the cables behind your back and out of the way of a live performance. Just my two cents.

    Me and my brother are sound engineers and use there famous mics 🎤 but I recently bought the 215’s BT1 2 months ago for my brother’s birthday 🎁 and he called me a couple of times with the 215’s and I noticed that he mic 🎙 sounded pretty awful and even had difficulty understanding him clearly! For a professional world renowned microphone 🎙 company they dropped the ball pretty hard on this one and frankly find it unacceptable to have a crappy mic with good in-ears! Not sure I should ask them some sort of refund!
