Right now a lot of Croatian kids born in Canada have gone to play in Croatia. The most successful right now is Niko Sigur who starts for Hajduk Split and was born in Vancouver !

I think Tomori kind of took an L. Not even in Southgates thoughts to play. Feel like he could’ve even been Canada's Captain

He never should have accepted the call up in 2022. Got to play 2 whole minutes against Italy, and threw away his chance at nigeria and Canada in the process

Wow, all of them are great players...I think a few of them could of been convinced to play for Canada given the right 'incentives', and reasons (structure of our team). I agree that Tomori should be playing for Canada right now...would be our captain and getting the most minutes (not getting time with England--he's being wasted!)

I was disappointed Asmir Begovic did not represent Canada. He was great for us in the 2007 U20 World Cup.

Our team isn't strong enough to retain these high potential players - we need more homegrown talent from our actual youth academies. A lot of these players were just born here but didn't develop their game here so they have no ties to the country. We need to invest in making our soccer programs better from the youth level so we can gradually grow our talent. Just because they were born here doesn't mean they are connected to the country at a personal level so we need to make sure the talent actually stays to develop in Canada! Starts by having better facilities, training, and overall investments to the sport.

Omar must regret his decision. Egypt has no chance to play in the World Cup. If he chose Canada he could have played in one world cup by now and likely a second barring injury. Instead he represents a team that only ever do well in AFCON, but will likely never qualify for a World Cup

Canada biggest problem is alot of people do not feel connected to Canada born or not for many years. I seen talent go elsewhere in all sports. The people making the decision make it too personal and pick favourites with not the same talent. Other countries pick the talent first. Think about this, yes alot of new talent was selected play TNT game but how many new faces actually saw the field. If I was a new talent, I would not come to Canada to watch from the sideline. America make sure to cap tie every player they can so they do not lose them
