I rarely ever leave comments, but I have to this time. Thank you so much for sharing your routine and most of all, your feelings. I know how heart-breaking adult acne is when all you’ve known is clear skin before. People don’t always understand how it makes you feel because it’s „just skin“, but it can really take a toll on you and your feelings are valid, not superficial. Again thank you for sharing. We are on this journey together.
Omg i’ve been watching your videos ever since 2010 or so but never thought that you were in such a tough emotional situation. You are one of the most professional beauty gurus on youtube and your recommendations are so reliable! I’ve seen great improvements when I followed your routines or suggestions, hope you get some positive energy in the comment section- everyone loves you and your face! Hope you feel better soon. Love to see your next video, as always.
Rae, I’ve been sitting here writing and rewriting how to appropriately express my heartfelt thank you for making this video. With this video, you did what I have never been able to do, which is show your bare face! I’ve never gone barefaced because since my worst bout of acne in my 20’s, which left acne scarring, I remain embarrassed to show my face to strangers, let alone on social media, which is why I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your courage. When you cried about the emotional and psychological pain you experienced from adult acne, I cried because I’ve been there and struggle with acne scarring still. I am so sorry you had to go through and are still grieving the psychological and physical toll acne has taken on you. This acne journey has been so hard and I am sorry you had to experience it at all. Please know that I think about you, am inspired by how beautiful your skin looks without makeup and just so grateful for you. I wish you all the best!
I have been subscribed to your channel for at least six years! I started breaking out badly four years ago. I don't even like to look into the mirror or take selfies when I'm with friends because I am insecure about my skin. My base makeup always look cakey and heavy for some reason (I am using chantecaille future skin with no powder with a beauty blender!) and it is more despairing when I can't cover it with makeup! I am a college student and it is hard for me to splurge on skincare. I have tried taking birth control and putting on pimple creams my doctor prescribed and nothing helps. I am thankful that you are willingly sharing your experience with acne as I am shunning from posting pictures of my face with makeup, not to mention bare face! I love you Rae ( even we have never met before)!!!
Love this video! Thank you for being real and honest about depression & adult acne. I’m 28 and had acne in high school then went away, and came back last year when I went on antidepressants/anti anxiety meds. And on top of hormones my skin changed sooo much. So I am right there with you on this better skin journey! ♥️💞💚
Thank you for being so honest and sharing your feelings. And for filming sans makeup. Although I don’t have acne, I admire you for reaching out to help others. Hugs.
I love your videos! I'm 27 and I've been dealing with adult acne for the last 2 years on and off. I'm finally starting to see lasting results from the products I've been using consistently. Thank you so much for sharing your story and your skin, it looks great! ❤️
Your skin looks great. I’ve watched you for many years and have never commented before. I always thought of you as being so beautiful, it saddens me that you even thought of yourself as being ugly. Anyways, I wanted to share my story of having adult acne for 15 years. I have literally tried everything from the drug store- neutrogena, cetaphil, oil olay, to middle/high end- Clinique, sheishdo, Murad, proactive, dr. Brandt, etc. I even tried oil cleanse, caveman no wash, avoided all sugar in my diet, gave up coffee, crazy supplements/vitamins, etc- you get the point. Nothing worked except birth control but I couldn’t be on birth control due to health reasons. A few nurses and medical personnel I worked with were raving about products from Rodan and Fields, I didn’t think it would work for me but they said I would get my full money back if it didn’t work so I thought what would I have to lose ? I’m happy to say I’ve been acne free for 4 years from using the Blemish line. I’m comfortable in my skin now, I hardly wear make up now, I go make up free 5 days out of the week. I used to never be able to go out of the house without foundation. One thing I learned is that I was using way too many type of products and I think you may be too. I hope this helps!
Your skin looks so much better now. Back when I was in college, i used to struggle with hormonal acne and acne scars but your videos helped me a lot. Thank you for sharing babe xx
I so appreciate you sharing your skin journey, and your honesty about the toll it takes emotionally. I can identify with it, and I want you to know that the By Terry click foundation that I saw you recommend in your previous video has helped me cope with my skin. It is my holy grail now, even if your makeup routine has changed.
Forever loving your videos!!
Sending strength and positivity your way. No matter what your exterior looks like, a beautiful soul will always shine through. 💐 You've always looked gorgeous to me! 💃
You are naturally beautiful. Your beauty reviews are the reason why I’ve purchased high end cosmetics and quality skin care.😘
Aww thank you for sharing your story! I used to suffer from acne too and made it through. Only makes us stronger and more empathetic in the long run ☺️💖
Thank you for sharing! You are beautiful and genuine and that’s all that matters! Please keep doing what you are doing. We look forward to it!
Be nice to your self, you are beautiful
Your skin is looking much better Rae! Not sure if layering so many products on top of one another is always optimal. You never really know what ingredients react with one another which may be reason why you are breaking out. I scaled back and started doing a more simple routine and my skin improved dramatically.
i'm so happy for you! I too have not had a breakout since march and it's amazing i am now living my best life lol
Do you still use SK-II? Watched your old videos raving about SK-II just wondering if you have changed your opinion with it now.
Thank you so so much for this honest video! I'm dealing with similar acne as an adult and it can be really hard.

Rae, your skin is perfect but I have to see you have always been beautiful with or without pimples :) You have nice features! Anyway, I am happy that your "journey" went well :)
Your skin looks very pretty now!
how do you feel about the sunday riley review/employee treatment scandal? anyway thank you for the informative video!! so happy to see you happy to film again 😊
What happened? I don’t know the story
Hi I have been following u for so long. Girl u look amazing without makeup. You have beautiful features .. those small imperfections are not important. Be positive...luv ur videos...xoxo Bet
Ever so lovely. Appreciate the beautiful quote at the end :)
I remember in one of ur videos u said u got bumps under ur eyes from an eye cream. How long did it take for the bumps to go away? I used a Shiseido eye cream and got bumps under my eyes, it's been almost 6 month I believe and the bumps are still there. I stopped using shiseido eye cream started using Arden eye cream, I don't know if it's something in the eye cream that my eyes are sensitive to. Can u share it thoughts on that pls? Love ur videos by the way. Been following u forever and u are a very beautiful person with o without makeup, dont let the haters hurt u. Love u 😍😍😍
SHISEIDO eye cream made me break out too! I had a huge pimple under my eye for months! it has mineral oil! It's the worst! xoxo Daisy
I can totally relate to what you said, I have never suffered from acne when I was a teen, but it all started half a year after I gave birth to my first daughter, after trying and wasted possibly over £20K on skincare products in 5 years, occasionally I would have great results, but then after a few months of clear skin, all of the sudden the acne would start all over again, I was so depressed!!! Finally my husband said to me why don’t you just go and see a doctor, that’s when I discovered Dr Sam Bunting(UK’s best dermatologist) and stopped wasting money and time with these so called miracle creams, in 2016 November, I went to see her, got a 3 months treatment plan, I can recall how anxious I was when I was on the treatment, I was scared it wouldn’t work, but 2 months in, my skin has turned over massively, by 2nd appointment, she even commented she was surprised how much my skin has changed! Now I haven’t been back for over a year due to 2nd pregnancy, I still get odd breakouts, but nothing like before, and I plan to see her after the baby is born. I can only say nothing can beat the feeling of when you look into the mirror you skin is clear of lumps, bumps and brown acne pigmentations!
You are so pretty 💗
You are beautiful inside and out!!
I have the biggest struggle finding a higher SPF moisturizer that doesn't break me out. I've tried both mineral and chemical and they always break me out in tiny bumps. Does anyone have any recommendations for me?
Please don't lose hope over those "holes", I have so many of them on my cheeks, they look like mine field. When your skin is stable and strengthen back to it's original state you should try researching on derma rolling. It has been 6 months since I used this procedure and my 10+ years old crater scars are looking lighter than the previous day. Have a wonderful day!
Rae try to just wash ur face & put moisturizer I'm sure ur skin will be better coz I use to put so many things on my face & it actually made my skin worst. 😊 it might work for u as well 😘 love u!
