I just did this yesterday. 1 thing that was crucial which not mentioned here is that you have to drink the potion almost when you start falling. too early then you will explode early and die from the fall, too late then you will not drink the potion just fall.
Can confirm still works as of 6/11/24, did about 20 try of failure until I said screw it and grabbed some soft cottons to see if that'll help, first try with it
@@mrgauthCracked Crystal Tear for the Wondrous Flask. Causes concoction to explode after a few seconds. You can get two of them to cause a larger explosion, but it only deals like 1,000 damage. (If you want it for an attack and not the speed run)
It doesn't take much health. You can do this right at the start of the game and you should be fine. Just kill the Erdtree Avatar in west Liurnia, use the runes to level up your Vigor, then go to the tower in Limgrave
I tested and i think its patched ( im on ps4 ) i feel like everything is made perfectly the timing + the weapon swing but the animation of falling continu and still takes damage does someone can confirm me that its patched or not ?
I just did it 1) stand at the edge like he does 2) drink the flask and has soon has touches your lips walk off the edge 3) I used 2 swords and spammed both of them just a split second before the explosion
Access to somewhere you shouldn't be (yet). That alone is just fun, but also some stuff you might wanna use at the beginning of the game rather than middle (e.g. Sanctified Whetblade)

It can no longer be done in the patch, they fixed this for the same reason as these videos, thanks to the fact that the programmers see these videos with tricks and all that, 2 weeks ago they modified the last patch so that they do not pass the new dlc just like that. falls saves kills whatever you do the same thanks for the video greetings
This is false. Today on Patch 1.12.3 I just performed this skip. I find powerstancing weapons to be more effective in providing you some extra frames as their attacks are slightly longer than most. Just takes some good timing.
Does anything bad come from doing this skip? Am I gonna miss out on any content? I did it and already beat Godfrey the first Elden lord or something like that.
@@miggs5324 why would this be an intended way to explore the area? If you do this skip you miss out on the entire main objective which is to gather 2 great runes and and margit gets removed if you haven't done him already.
@miggs5324 It's better to play the game normally before doing this in a new run. It doesn't make you lose anything, unless you kill Morgott early (then you'll just miss out on dialogue). This glitch is a fun way to get into the midgamd early to get equipment you'd like to use earlier, like the Sanctified Whetblade or Bolt of Gransax.
For me, part of the fun of Elden Ring was just exploring the world and seeing what places I could get to without going the "intended" way.. I spent a long time just scaling cliffs with Torrent and reaching otherwise inaccessible areas.

Because it's fun to do things out of order. I honestly hate that fromsoft keeps patching any sort of things that goes outside of the "intended" path. This "open world" game already feels like its on rails already. There's still plenty of freedom of movement but it still leaves a kind of disappointment in my mouth when I see someplace in the distance that looks cool but I can't go there unless I jump through some specific hoops to be able to access it.

you can fall, then quitout. After logging in drink flask and almost immediantly step forward.

That's good. Unfortunately, this doesn't help if you're doing a maidenless run since you need access to the round table hold to get it.
Here I tried this method and got an invader to spawn but he spawned on the top of the bridge, where did you stand to get them to spawn at the bottom?

Just use the taunter tongue, a bloody invader will come and he'll activate the elevator for you

I've seen others use a sword or something they can attack with. You need to have the explosion interrupt your attack animation though.

If anyone is struggling with this, use any kind of fist weapon it will make this WAY WAY EASIER. It is working as of the date of this comment.

Version 1.10 is the latest patch and the game hasn't been patched since then (until the DLC comes out), so it should still work.

If you don't want to advance npc quests just don't activate the graces down there. You can just run get the loot and die with no consequences.
The inactive lift tells you this area is for later. Why do people play the game if they want to skip chunks of the content?
