Gary Moore - The Prophet (guitar cover)

- A poor attempt at covering one of my favourite tracks by one of my favourite guitar players of all time, Gary Moore. It was mostly an opportunity for me to start using more my new DNAfx GiT Core by Harley Benton, for which I found a free "GARY MOORE" preset I wanted to test, and my Epiphone Les Paul Studio Chameleon, which I haven't played as much as I should have in the past few years.
As a backing track, I used one I found around on RUclips. It's available on multiple channels, so I'm not sure who the original author is. I'm happy to credit them once I know.
It's far from being a perfect cover. There are plenty of mistakes, ranging from imperfect bends to a few other things. I decided to keep them all in because, well, first of all I am a sloppy player! But also, it's a demonstration that, while "The Prophet" may look like an easy track to play, it really isn't: it requires a lot of control, of which Gary Moore was indeed a master. There's also the issue that I'm playing a song that's meant for a 24 frets guitar on a Les Paul, which only has 22... I tried to go around that by using pinch harmonics when it was too high, with poor results, and I didn't want to "cheat" by overdubbing myself. It is what it is.
Despite its shortcomings, I hope you'll enjoy this! And if you don't know the original song, do make yourself a favour and go listen to Gary Moore break your heart in tiny little pieces!
