This is not normal wear and tear on a voice. I wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually comes out that there is some kind of neurological condition. I have young onset Parkinson’s disease, and the change in my singing voice was one of the first weird symptoms that I noticed. I’m not an expert, but my gut tells me it’s neurological. If that’s the case, it’s heartbreaking. I’m not a professional singer, but it is still super depressing not to be able to sing like I used to. Neurological conditions stole the voices of iconic singers like Linda Ronstadt, and Neil Diamond and it’s looking like Celine Dion as well. I sure hope Jon Bon Jovi isn’t next. 💔

Band singing hearts out, full vocal tracks triggered and reverb notwithstanding. Shocking- to go through with it on a tour?????? Hope it's operable. Paul's isn't, apparently.

Great video Lee. Not just voice guys, performance as well. He hangs on to the mic stand like his life depends on it, we have to ask why, like he has aged very very fast. I toured for two years with Joe Lynn Turner, love him or hate him he has never lost it and he is in his early 70's now. Do we expect too much from these people but if they charge top dollar? Jon made a good choice with Phil X as he has a great voice and David Bryan seems to have not changed over the years

Richie did not sing every single word of every single song for 3 hours while touring. Same with recording in a studio, Jon is the main vocalist, I'm sure there were multiple takes done for hours to pick the best ever parts so we can now enjoy perfectly sung songs. I know from someone who met him recently that Sambora acknowledges that Jon's voice is shot and that he never really took good care of it, mainly by smoking a lot. BTW, Sambora is in talks to get back in the band, they just need to agree on the number of shows per week they'll do. Richie apparently wants no more than 3, Jon wants more. Maybe it’s partly fixable with a good amount of vocal training. If it’s really hearing loss there’s no point in trying. In the second half of the 80’s it was more important running around a huge stage set and totally straining your vocal cords to the limit, tours being far too long etc.

Meat loaf always seemed to be a bit off key live. He even commented on it in interviews that live audiences didn't care so much of he was out. In the studio he obviously did the work and maybe had the tools to help him nail it. Meat Loaf was always theatre nerd at heart though. He's best though of not as a rock singer but as a theatre actor playing a singer 😂

I disagree. I have been a big Bon Jovi fan since the 90s. Jon's vocals were probably the best in his 1995 "These Days" album which required a far more complex, higher and controlled singing. The song "These Days" itself ( especially the Chorus and bridge part of the song) required a very high octave and vocal control which is hard to replicate. Jon's vocals began to decline somewhere in the mid to late 2010s. But that's part of aging, or some other health related issue. I guess. He needs to retire.
