- i had lost my power armor. only to find out trashcan carla had stoled it. couldn’t get her out of it so she had to go 🙅🏽♂️🚮

She's probably my 3rd least favorite NPC in the game. The only reason I don't murder her on every playthrough is that it causes problems with the other traders.

Tip on leaving power armor in settlements is NEVER leave a fusion core in the power armor, or else people can get in it and decide to get inside whenever they feel like it idk
So they are asking to be killed then?
It usually happens when the settlement is under attack

the power armor will probably be permanently marked as stolen, too
@@octrasourceIf you reverse pickpocket a stolen item to a settler and then trade it back, it won’t be marked as stolen anymore

I would have left that world state exactly as it was. Trash can Carla traipsing around the fucking Commonwealth in state of the art power armor is the funniest shit I've heard today.
The issue is that with NPCs and the armor they do get out of it eventually and you'll probably never find it.
@@SmallSpoonBrigade That isn't a problem for me, as I tend to have like a massive surplus of power armor frames just fucking sitting around. It's kind of annoying actually.

Btw when something like this happens, you can get the armor back by shooting the fusion core in VATS, this will anger the npc, but they will get out.
or just go do something else. They get out after a while. By the time I had enough fusion cores to start wearing power armor a lot, I already had life 5 suits.
Or just pickpocket the fusion core, which forces them to leave the power armor. Sort of like reaching through the window and grabbing the keys from a car.

Haha she stole my armor once at the place where you first meet her, I left the armor to barter better but then some dogs attacked and she went into the armor. I learned the hard way to always pick out the core when leaving power armor, even if it is for a few seconds.

Dude! She stole mine too in my first play through! Learned to take out the fusion codes after that. Couldn’t figure out where it went and found her tromping around in it! One of my favorite games of all time!

I had one of my supply line settlers steal my X-01 Nuka Quantum suit, they then fought some super mutants in CIT, killed them and then left my power armor there. Which I didn't know it was missing until after I blew up the Institute and saw it floating above the crater.
This is why I keep my power armor at red rocket truck shop. I can’t trust any of these people.

Now I’m glad I decided to store all my Power Armor at red rocket instead of sanctuary hills.
I always take my Power Armor back to the Red Rocket outside Sanctuary to avoid this.
Happened to me aswell, she quickly recieved atoms judgement.

There is a wonderful lock door mod, works amazing plus prevents that stupid dog from opening the doors. Also keeps enemies out making a perfect hold out to take out large groups
I have a ton of power armor sets at my sanctuary hills settlement (because i have a little section for PA storage and to work on them that acts as like a restricted zone) i just take the fusion cores out of all of the sets there thats the best way to do it
Shoot the fusion core in vats, this will make it eject causing a nuclear explosion, and maybe she will survive, after that she will get out of the power armor.
And hopefully if she's lucky enough to live teach her the lesson she needs to learn
i did a test trial and every time it would overheat one blow up, they never got out
You don’t need to worry about that armour.
i had this exact thing happen to me with the exact armor. The biggest problem is that carla is not part of your settlement that you mean you can't tell her to leave the power amor.
so to fix this, I went far away and snipped the fusion core. she was hostile at first but after pulling down my weapon so did she. i fixed all the pieces and now i make sure to never leave a fusion of inside a power armor.
I leave all my suits over there by the repair station but I put my cores in the safe in the house down the street.
She stole my first thing of power armor, did the same thing
if you pickpocket the core off of her you could get the frame back.
I had moved my sets from Red rocket to Boston airport. Some mutants spawned on the other side of the water. Like 2 initiates went up and stole 2 sets of power armor! Thankfully my T60 that BOS gives you wasn’t taken and my main Hellfire armor with the upgraded wasn’t taken. There’s some BOS soldier now running around with T45 minuteman power armor 😂
No one will ever take my T60 power Armor because I am always wearing it unless I go to sleep

My settlers have done this before when the settlement gets attacked AND I've left the FUSION CORE IN!
Now usual if you hold down the entry button (i.e X on PlayStation) it should start a unique dialogue where you tell the friendly NPC that you need your armour back, it's been a while since I've had to do this cause I now always take fusion cores out when not using it and store my suits in an area the NPCs can't access or mill about in. Cause as annoying as losing your hard earned upgraded suit pieces are it's more annoying losing the exosuit when the NPC dies in it.

I had the same with Sheffield taking one of mine during a raider attack. I made him a supply runner. Seems like they'll never take those in display/crafting stations.
Maybe that's why I've never had this issue - if I leave a frame at a settlement it's always in either the crafting station or a display. Even if it's just a quick stop to do some gun upgrades or sleep or the like. If I'm not using a frame, it's on the rack with the core yanked.

A tip that noticed when leaving power armmor is leaving it in the power armour upgrading stand when you try get your companions to get in it they won’t be able to and I think it’s the same for settlers as I leave my armours there all the time and it never goes missing just make sure it’s next to a sold wall
also hide your best guns somewhere i came back after a long time and so much of my gear was gone 🤣

That's why I have a settlement dedicated to just power armor runs by robots and rocket sentries

What I do is I get power armor pieces, and store them. I just use the one frame. Plus I've been using my power armor non stop. So never leave a fusion core in cause if there is danger they'll jump in

if you leave a fusion core in a power armor frame, settlers,merchants and other NPCs will enter the power armor if the settlement gets attacked, settlers,merchants and other NPCs will not get into power armor that does not have a core in it, that's why I always remove the core from my power armor when I'm not using it

There is another way instead of killing a person in you’re settlement that gets into your power armor, that isn’t hostile or trashcan Carla if you have a high sneak skill then you can take a fusion core and get your power armor back
this is why i removed the fusion core true sometimes i forget to remove it but no one got inside
If they the companion just tell em to sleep or some and they will get out
If you wait fof her to go to bunker hill, she leaves it
If you travel to a specific place she will be there and get out of the power armor

Everyone says Marcy Long is the commonwealth’s biggest menace and that’s true but they turn a blind eye to trashcan Carla, she just walks through your settlements, opens doors and steals power armor, and in my game she doesn’t even sell anything she literally has nothing in her shop inventory! Overall just a leech. Rob her when you first meet her

so I seen another vid on this there is 2 ways pick pocket the fusion core or 2 wait till she gets to bunker hill and she'll get out of the armor to man her stand

Use elevators. NPC's don't know how to use elevators in settlements.
i am fan fallout 4 and fallout 5 and ok my trashcan carla stole my power armor to! institut power armor now i do in all my power armors i take my fusion cores and npcs rip cant take my power armors
You should have gone in to stealth and shot the fusion core, she would have got out of the armor or you could have pickpocket the core and she would get out.
Hey. I found a way you can get your armor back without killing her.
Just ask her to go near the power armor rack, then you press interact with the rack to repair the armor, then both she and the armor will be teleported the the rack, this time she will automatically eject from the armor herself.
This is the easiest, less effort, no need to pickpocketing fusion core at all, best way to reclaim your armor. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

The same exact thing happened to me except it was T60 brand new on my survival Save There was an even a fusion core in it there was a fusion core on a table in a different house away from it.....She picked it up ran to the power armor and stole it You can't have shit In the commonwealth :=(
got to be your fault for leaving a fusion core in the armor ... I had Deacon pick up a questline armor when we were attacked before I had a chance to wear it. When the fusion core ran out the armor pieces went into his inventory so I took them be he is now permanently wearing the armor frame !
( and no there is no dialogue option for him to leave the power armor 😀 )

i leave my cores in armor that i want them to use. tbh the hellfire is ugly so they can have it. and if i can since its the only other minuteman armor without mods i try and get as many t-45d armors for them
just go behind people witch steal your power armor then only steal their fusion core then they are forced to get out of the power armor
