Tony Fiducia I’m 35 and missed all of it being born in the 80s. But the entire 50s and 60s are a time period that I feel so connected to and will never really understand why.
I was the youngest person in the theater when this came out in 2014. Whether it was them, The Beach Boys, Motown, etc. I really love it all.
I drive a Mustang and will someday own a classic Mustang. That whole period just seems so magical.

2:27 - Right after the last note of the song, when there was a series of shots of the cast frozen after the last dance move ... holding on those shots, with a couple of them you can see who are barely catching their breath, but all in a frozen pose, with expression of joy on all their faces ... that was an inspired choice by the editor and/or Eastwood. Most conventional editors/directors would have just cut to black and the remainder of the titles, instead of this. I guess they were trying to duplicate what an audience sees in a live show, and it works big-time.

If I altered the ending, after "Who Loves You", I'd have the first scene take place in our time. 1st some random group of young friends were trying to form a band of their own. One of them finds a Four Seasons record/CD and decide to play it for inspiration. Then scene switches to the Four Seasons singing Sherry. After "come out tonight", they hear a high note, finding a hole, peek through it and Frankie rips it open until finding the teens.
Stunned seeing something impossible, Frankie invites them over to their side. The Four Seasons decide to show them how they do as a band and THAT'S when they'll sing "Oh What a Night".
Frankie would sing "hypnotizing, mesmerizing me" instead. One of them feels left out as each one of his group feels every girl's taken. But that's when Frankie, Mary and Lorraine have him see Francine. And one of them sings "what it takes so long to see the light".
Nearing the end, the young group does a rap (since never added in the movie) about the Four Seasons. After that, the group leaves the stage, leaving the whole Jersey Boys cast standing and posing.
