Tomorrow l am going to Goenka meditation retreat centre near Suffolk doing voluntary work as server . 100% cleaning inside and outside 😂, only 6 meditation hours as cleaning inside and voluntary work as cleaning rest of a day 😂
Dear Bhante I attend a monastery where nearly all the lay community are of a different nationality and speak to each in their own language even though the majority speak English. I know words and situations are impermanent, I just feel quite like sometimes I'm intruding.
Thank you for watching and your comments. I will talk about this in a Q&A's video coming soon. ruclips.net/p/PLiX6s1kV1fRMCQyR6F7b6HxXuBUn9Zgck&si=7nWb2Y5dT2JpZjzj Be happy and stay well.
Absolutely, you need to ask yourself instead is it beneficial physical , mental and emotionally to add physical exercise to your daily routine..1) how is it beneficial or being carelessness? 2) what is the purpose for physical exercise and what is the disadvantages if any? 3) the Buddha stresses whatever you start you need to achieve completion. And how is physical exercise improving my meditation practice?
@@englishmonk I think they mean things like calisthenics, as there would be no gym equipment available. I understand in Theravada buddhism there is the middle way, and subjectively, doing alms round is good exercise, but that is not helping to maintain muscle mass, which is lost as one gets older. I think it would be beneficial do some calisthenics (for example, pushups, situps) and also some stretches, not too much but for a few minutes, but then I am not sure exactly how that would look like for a monk. Can a monk do that? Any thoughts?
thank you for the talk.. I have some questions, and sorry if you have already answered them elsewhere, but do you warm the food you are offered (eg curries), do you have any kind of fridge for storage, thank you, Sukhi Hotu

Would you be able to discuss the wheel of life?
I don't normally talk much about Buddhist cosmology but prefer to concentrate on this realm of existence and what we can do here. Sukhi Hontu
