I do a lot of day time driving and just installed the 35% Prime XR on my windshield. My eyes are thanking me! Furthermore, no more headaches from glaring LEDs at night.
How is the tint holding up on your windshield? Also is it dark and allows you to drive at night?

Hey, can you tell me if Xpel Prime XR is affected negatively by the defroster lines? I recently got an excellent Xpel Prime XR tint job done from a very reputable shop here in Toronto. I've heard using the defroster can cause bubbling on window tint and it brings down to life of the tint...I should've asked the shop installer but I forgot to.
No you should be able to use your defroster like normal.
Is the 5% on the xR plus darker than the reg XR or is it just the camera
Could you do a comparison between the Prime XR Plus vs 3M Crystalline? I think you did a Formula One vs Crystalline video before.

My local shop has the XR Black 70, I also have the option to special order the XR Plus 70 for a bit more.
Color/ darkness wise are they virtually the same?

I'll see what I can do but I'm not at the shops anymore. I'm back on the road doing residential and commercial so my time is limited to do these types of experiments. I'm sure I will eventually get a slow day where I will have time to do this. Thanks

Hi me again I just got my windows tinted with ceramic I’m seeing quite a bit of white bubbles on the tint. I’ve never gotten tint before but I read online that they’re contamination bubbles so they won’t go away but I wasn’t sure if this is normal or if you’d suggest I take it back?

Huper Optik, 3M Crystalline, Xpel or Llumar for the Windshield? I want the best heat rejection film out there! Preferably in 70 or 50%

I have an Appointment to get XPEL XR PRIME in about 20 days, I feel like i have 35% factory tint on my car right now but i wanted to go darker. Here in Arizona 33% is legal but it also gets 115 degrees here so im sure the cops are more lenient, so I might go with 20%. I just cant be too much of a risk to get a fix it ticket. That would be $1000 down the drain if i had to take this film off.

What’s your prices for the XR and XR Plus? I called a tint shop near me they use xpel for ceramic and they said it’d be $350 I’m guessing that’d be the XR cause $350 isn’t too expensive but I don’t want to ask them what specific one they use lol was just wondering what your prices were so I could infer what they are using
For the average sedan we charge $200 fir Xpel CS, $350 XR & $500 XR plus. This is for the sides and rear window.

Yes, it rejects 89% of the Infrared Heat, and 49% Total Solar Energy, so there's still 51% coming through. It makes a huge difference, but unfortunately, they will eventually get through. That's why it's best when the vehicle is in motion to blow the heat off the glass. This is why we usually tint residential and commercial buildings with reflective films. Ceramic absorbs while metal reflects. Unfortunately, reflective films are illegal on vehicles and can interfere with electronics. We recommend the Plus series on the windshield as it rejects a bit more than the XR. Thanks, Shawn TintManFL.com
Is this new film your best one for blocking heat?
Xpel XRPlus rejects up to 98% Infrared Heat & 71% total solar energy aka radiant heat.
Getting Xpel XR plus 45% for my windshield.Only the best for my Chrysler 300c.
Would stratos 30% be more blue than xr plus or xr black?
XR Black 30% is the blackest out of the three.
Quick question, if a customer gets too light of a film applied but wants to go darker is he or she charged for the removal or is it warranteed out.
Depends on the situation. Sometimes I'll just put a layer of CS on top to darken and ask them to write a review.

Overall: for window tints, would you recommend 3M or XPEL? What is the overall best brand & series? (Doesn’t have to be either of those). I want the opinion of someone who installs these.

Xpel has a better warranty and more options. 3M has a bad reputation of only lasting a few years. So Xpel.com 👍🏻

Why did you switch from Llumar to Xpel?
Problems with film and customer service for the past 3 years now. I've been experimenting with different films for over a year now and have found everything I've wanted from a film for me, customers and installers in Xpel.
FWIW Xpel is manufactured by Garware who also supplies SolarFX and Global. Llumar is manufactured by Eastman who also makes SunTek. Garware makes a much higher quality film with a superior scratch resistant coating.
How do I know as a consumer I am getting what I pay for plus vs cs etc
Every roll has a roll number to prove it that's written on the warranty card.

They both cut out the same amount of heat for the most part. It comes down to visibility, privacy and glare.
