Forza Horizon 5 has aged like milk. how easy it is to progress through the game and it's end-game content feel more like a chore than actually doing something fun. and along with PG Games & Turn 10 wanting to add more EV's into their games is just lacklustre.
I still majorly enjoy the game for the fact that I enjoy the handling of the cars and only drive a handful of them I'd like to own in real life. But I never understood whats happening with the story,missions, or anything to do with seasons.
I think the problem with the end-game content in this compared to FH4 is that the festival playlist is not rewarding apart from the season/series rewards for overall pts. In FH4 you could do trial or championship and get a hard-to-find car but in FH5 you can only get it thru overall pts. Fuels FOMO too knowing that none of these cars will be in the auction house thanks to how scarce cars are now

honestly i dont mind electrics and suvs being added to horizon, there are like 800 other cars in the game to try out before these, i believe every new car they add is something good regardless of the car, i want forza to be a car library where i can go there and just drive random cars, i never mod the cars as well i only mod the ones that i really like and keep the rest stock to keep their original experience

The latest season and dlc has brought some actually cool cars in to the series (the 500e and hammer wagon stand out to me) but we're constantly getting all the EV/SUV rubbish and I just can't see why. Couple that with the fact that the map in fh5 is in my opinion is THE worst one we have had in a horizon game and it really makes me wonder if they actually want to make a game for people to enjoy, or if it is all just a money grab

there are so many highly requested cars that still aren't in the game probably due to licensing costs, the new gt3 rs probably being the most obvious one, and when we do get a cool requested car like the cayman 4rs or the 296 gtb its in a paid car pack

I like quirky cars in racing games, but I have to agree with you, I feel like manufacturers are pushing those cars, the I.D. R for example is in every racing game apart from NFS, and I think it's an attempt by Volkswagen to make the I.D brand look cool.

Yeah, all the new ones that don't have the drift transmission suck eggs. They're just too heavy and dog slow. They don't even handle. There's only 1 EV that worked, and it was the VW ID.R. Because it was actually meant for racing. Not commuting.

I have always liked the idea of having the Mini Countryman in the game. A car that I actually dream of owning. I get to play it in the game, dreaming of owning it one day.
Is it bad that I want a minivan in the game that I can turn into a sleeper car. A dodge caravan or a Toyota Sienna. And maybe even a Prius, (I want to make them just way to overpowered) also they need to start adding cars from British top gear like Jeramy’s Citroen tower RV. And maybe Hammonds Volkswagen boat. Those cars are iconic and I just love that show and would love to see it represented in Forza.
The comment about getting cars people actually care about is funny because even if Forza did add them a lot of them are supercars and hypercars that will be flavor of the weekend when they release and they'll be forgotten almost immediately too. Other requested cars like the Chevy and the Toyota Altezza won't really spark much interest because they'll probably just be more Tsuru clones at best (the Volkswagen Santana that was just added was also a Tsuru clone and no one gave a damn about it). Other requested cars like older gen and the newest gen Mustangs will also just become filler for the car count. Yes, no one really gives a shit about cars like the ID4 but it's not like getting cars people actually request will magically make the game better or whatever. We just got the Valkyrie AMR Pro and it came and went extremely quickly because the car is shit in Horizon, and it was a highly requested car. If any, what should happen is Playground Games should just stop adding "new content" after two years, let the game die and then release the new Horizon game eventually when people will maybe be hyped about it instead of being tired of the previous game being stretched out and milked as long as possible. The Car Pass only lasts a couple of months and there's only two expansions anyways, I'd rather PG pull the plug on the two year mark than continue getting content and cars people request after the game has been up for 3 years

Forza lost its way a long time ago and its very rare i even play the game anymore. Back in the day when i was only a PlayStation user i begged my parents to buy me an Xbox just so i could play Forza Motorsport 3 on it because I was genuinely blown away how amazing that game was and how much i preferred it to Gran Turismo. These days I find myself wanting to buy a PS5 just for GT7. I never go on Horizon and still not even bought FM8 yet. There's nothing at all bringing me back to Horizon. I remember when Horizon was announced it was all about "action racing", a genuinely exciting game which allowed us to live out our dreams of a proper car festival and rally like Gumball 3000 etc. Bring back the days when racing cars were barely included as it wasn't realistic to have racing cars on the roads - Playground Games' own words, and genuinely desirable and exciting cars we all wanted to drive. Oh and a proper festival and story. ✌️
The cars that have gotten me excited for the future of specific car brands r the new prototypes of Nissan, Toyota and mazda (especially mazda) looked so cool. I would love to see those somewhere i mean its a videogame thats why i love the visiongt of grantourismo

In my opinion, I don’t think games shouldn’t have electric cars mainly because we’re all going to be forced to drive them in the next 10 15 years anyway, The car pass isn’t necessarily the problem I have, but I definitely understand how it could be a problem I think Forza(as a whole, including motorsports, and Horizon)needs to stop with the Fortnite battle pass time limit to unlock content. My Xbox one broke, and it took me about a month to find a Xbox series X and during that time I missed a bunch of content and now have no way to unlock it and it’s yet to be available in the auction house. So I’ve completely dropped the game since then the developer seem to tell you there’s going to be way to get the content you missed, but as of yet it hasn’t happened. Don’t give us content if you’re going to take it away in a week

You have the introduction with three races, and then the four tours of the builders cup. That could be beat in one weekend. There’s no point to replay the game or even buy it late. Turn 10 and Playground Games really need to overhaul their entire car list. Putting more SUVs/Crossovers in the game without focusing on variety is similar to when the Gran Turismo series at one point had hundreds of Skylines and Miatas in the car list. Thankfully Polyphony has overhauled their car list and has more variety from the Toyota Alphard minivan to the Le Mans prototype race cars.
Man, when the DLC was released this told me everything. This game has been such a flop, I'm sure some long term Devs ended up leaving playground, it's just not the same anymore...

People buy cars like that because maybe they're comfortable, practical and convenient and easy to park. If youre playing forza youre sat comfortably in your house with nothing in the car in game but yourself, no family no shopping, and you can just crash it into the wall to park it. All of their purposes arent fulfilled in forza
actually uninstalled the game, tried to get the new aston martin for fun and it was just loading screens upon loading screens for more than 5 minutes just to do 1 race and i've had enough, goodbye forza i'll come back when you're actually good again. i really hope test drive won't be as bad as this mess of a game and will start a resurrection in the AAA racing game scene
I remember when forza had Jeremy Clarkson gave a big speech about how forza was supposed to celebrate cars in the face of a world that was slowly turning them all into slow ugly electric SUVs. And now that same franchise is giving you cheap chinese made electric fire hazards and they expect you to pay real money for them as well. Turn10 has become an absolute joke and forza is dead.
Forza should put a quarter of the cars in the game, make them way harder to get, put an actual story in it and make the world believable and not feel like a theme park.
The time spent making these cars that people will never drive, would be much better spent remodelling the reused forza motorsport 1-3 models.

You should try out the Hennessey Venom F5 at some point. It's the only car that goes over 300 MPH without any upgrades.
For both NFS and Horizon games I would like to see them use Chrysler 300C 392/Mazda Protege MP3 or Mazdaspeed Protege/ 99' 3000GT VR4

@@kaffielekobold8695 with how the pi system works, the EVs have waaay too much torque for any other space for upgrades. The single gearing also kills the top speed.

As far as i know are Chinese Companies like Tencent and others (also known for their human rights handling) involved in nearly everything that has to do with big budget games and movies. Maybe that is the reason for such decisions?
I have always liked the idea of having the Mini Countryman in the game. A car that I actually dream of owning. I get to play it in the game, dreaming of owning it one day.

Is it bad that I want a minivan in the game that I can turn into a sleeper car. A dodge caravan or a Toyota Sienna. And maybe even a Prius, (I want to make them just way to overpowered) also they need to start adding cars from British top gear like Jeramy’s Citroen tower RV. And maybe Hammonds Volkswagen boat. Those cars are iconic and I just love that show and would love to see it represented in Forza.
I hate SUVs with a passion…unless it’s a Jeep Trackhawk, 707bhp in a Jeep Cherokee is just epic

The comment about getting cars people actually care about is funny because even if Forza did add them a lot of them are supercars and hypercars that will be flavor of the weekend when they release and they'll be forgotten almost immediately too. Other requested cars like the Chevy and the Toyota Altezza won't really spark much interest because they'll probably just be more Tsuru clones at best (the Volkswagen Santana that was just added was also a Tsuru clone and no one gave a damn about it). Other requested cars like older gen and the newest gen Mustangs will also just become filler for the car count.
Yes, no one really gives a shit about cars like the ID4 but it's not like getting cars people actually request will magically make the game better or whatever. We just got the Valkyrie AMR Pro and it came and went extremely quickly because the car is shit in Horizon, and it was a highly requested car. If any, what should happen is Playground Games should just stop adding "new content" after two years, let the game die and then release the new Horizon game eventually when people will maybe be hyped about it instead of being tired of the previous game being stretched out and milked as long as possible. The Car Pass only lasts a couple of months and there's only two expansions anyways, I'd rather PG pull the plug on the two year mark than continue getting content and cars people request after the game has been up for 3 years

One thing i like about Forza Motorsport is they don't seem to be adding cars like this and instead cars that are actually good.
And adding redundancies like the 2020 M2, 2021 Audi TT rs which is exactly the same as the 2018 TT rs, adding the trd gt86 which is exactly the same as the regular gt86

Forza lost its way a long time ago and its very rare i even play the game anymore. Back in the day when i was only a PlayStation user i begged my parents to buy me an Xbox just so i could play Forza Motorsport 3 on it because I was genuinely blown away how amazing that game was and how much i preferred it to Gran Turismo.
These days I find myself wanting to buy a PS5 just for GT7. I never go on Horizon and still not even bought FM8 yet. There's nothing at all bringing me back to Horizon.
I remember when Horizon was announced it was all about "action racing", a genuinely exciting game which allowed us to live out our dreams of a proper car festival and rally like Gumball 3000 etc.
Bring back the days when racing cars were barely included as it wasn't realistic to have racing cars on the roads - Playground Games' own words, and genuinely desirable and exciting cars we all wanted to drive. Oh and a proper festival and story. ✌️

The cars that have gotten me excited for the future of specific car brands r the new prototypes of Nissan, Toyota and mazda (especially mazda) looked so cool. I would love to see those somewhere i mean its a videogame thats why i love the visiongt of grantourismo

Forza Horizon 6 needs to be exclusively all 2025 models for VW, I want all of Volkswagens range. Their car design is so inspiring, who needs GTi's or R32's anymore.
VAG adding the ID.4 rather than anything actually interesting...We haven't had a SEAT car since the Xbox 360. Even an altea,sharan anything Pre SUV Skoda would be a fun addition..

In my opinion, I don’t think games shouldn’t have electric cars mainly because we’re all going to be forced to drive them in the next 10 15 years anyway, The car pass isn’t necessarily the problem I have, but I definitely understand how it could be a problem I think Forza(as a whole, including motorsports, and Horizon)needs to stop with the Fortnite battle pass time limit to unlock content. My Xbox one broke, and it took me about a month to find a Xbox series X and during that time I missed a bunch of content and now have no way to unlock it and it’s yet to be available in the auction house. So I’ve completely dropped the game since then the developer seem to tell you there’s going to be way to get the content you missed, but as of yet it hasn’t happened. Don’t give us content if you’re going to take it away in a week
I have to Agree, FOMO mechanics should be made Illegal IMO, so FH5 being built almost Entirely around them leaves a very Nasty taste in My mouth as well.
@@simeonyves5940 it’s honestly the dumbest thing ever because if you were to replay the game there’s no content, at least in motorsports case. You have the introduction with three races, and then the four tours of the builders cup. That could be beat in one weekend. There’s no point to replay the game or even buy it late. If you don’t get it at launch there’s almost no point because you’ll missing so much content.

Games should be sold, if not Content Complete on Day 1 (Although that model, Content Complete on Day 1, should be Strongly Encouraged!) then under Traditional Paid DLC Models that do not hold the Player Hostage and do not leave Late Adopters with a Game that is Impossible for them to Complete!
I really do think it is has gone so far now that it may be time to, along with the Situations Involving MTX and Lootboxes, Get the Government Involved. It is better than allowing FOMO to Continue ruining Games by locking us out of Content we have *Paid for* Simply because we did not/Could not play that week!
I have not Played FM2023 because, basically, it is Abject Shovelware and I refuse to even waste the cost of a Months Worth of Gamepass on it! I do not have the Money to Waste in that manner!

I've said it once, I'll say it again. If there's a playlist that wins you a new car, there should be specialized races FOR the car that you won. Why would I use that car again?

Turn 10 and Playground Games really need to overhaul their entire car list. Putting more SUVs/Crossovers in the game without focusing on variety is similar to when the Gran Turismo series at one point had hundreds of Skylines and Miatas in the car list. Thankfully Polyphony has overhauled their car list and has more variety from the Toyota Alphard minivan to the Le Mans prototype race cars.
More variety... There hasn't been a new racecar for 6+ months

Man, when the DLC was released this told me everything. This game has been such a flop, I'm sure some long term Devs ended up leaving playground, it's just not the same anymore...
I'm just tired of boring as/s ev's in general theirs nothing fun about them, the only exceptions are the hyper car ones mainly for the speed but they're still boring and that whine is annoying as hell.

People buy cars like that because maybe they're comfortable, practical and convenient and easy to park. If youre playing forza youre sat comfortably in your house with nothing in the car in game but yourself, no family no shopping, and you can just crash it into the wall to park it. All of their purposes arent fulfilled in forza

actually uninstalled the game, tried to get the new aston martin for fun and it was just loading screens upon loading screens for more than 5 minutes just to do 1 race and i've had enough, goodbye forza i'll come back when you're actually good again. i really hope test drive won't be as bad as this mess of a game and will start a resurrection in the AAA racing game scene
The Forza devs are selling out by adding all these SUVs and electric cars which nobody asked for
I remember when forza had Jeremy Clarkson gave a big speech about how forza was supposed to celebrate cars in the face of a world that was slowly turning them all into slow ugly electric SUVs. And now that same franchise is giving you cheap chinese made electric fire hazards and they expect you to pay real money for them as well. Turn10 has become an absolute joke and forza is dead.

The only reason these cars are in the game is because brands are paying to forza to add them for marketing reasons.
It's a fact car pass is completely useless most of the time they should put all car bundles on it to be interesting.
Forza should put a quarter of the cars in the game, make them way harder to get, put an actual story in it and make the world believable and not feel like a theme park.
What you're describing is forza horizon 1 lol, they absolutely nailed it and it's been downhill fast ever since
