4 Dead in Fiery Crash | Houston

- 02.18.2022 | 12:30 AM | HOUSTON - HPD was working a 4 fatal crash.
HFD responded to reports of the crash, and located 4 patients inside a sedan which was on fire.
One of the 4 was partially ejected from the vehicle, but all were pronounced on scene by HFD.
Preliminary info is that an Uber driver was headed into the airport in the right lane when a sedan traveling at a high rate of speed, sideswiped the Uber.
The striking vehicle then left the roadway after striking the Uber, and burst into flames.

Personally I think these news reporting agencies should show the dead,burned ,mangled bodies from these horrific accidents.
Maybe, just maybe ppl will learn to SLOW the hell down and pay ATTENTION!!

I agree totally, these crashes should be shown to teenagers who are seniors in high school. Showing the carnage from speed may make a difference to some, even one is better than none. Praying for all the lost souls of this fiery crash 🙏

This has to have a deleterious effect on first responders as well ad Onscene TV and other video bloggers who present this to us.
18 years as a paramedic.Have seen them in cars,homes, planes. More than once have talked to conscious, talking and walking victims with almost 100% third degree burns. They had no idea they’d be dead within a day. The one thing ( literally) you remember is the smell. Even after showering it will stay with you for days.

How devastating for the families and friends. How horrible for the first responders to have to see this. Glad the Uber driver is O.K.
First Responders go through "Desensitizing" orientations/exposure, these types of scenes are nothing they haven't seen before.

I nearly got blasted into by two cars chasing one another through Houston , on I 10 coming out of downtown , west bound. I was going at least 70, they had to be going well over 100. Weaving in and out of moderate traffic. Could have been awful. I saw them pass a dozen or more cars and trucks just like they did me before I lost sight of them near the Washington exit. Congratulations ! You made it! That time.
I've had to flash my flashers a couple times at 70 mph on my semi truck and watch cars suddenly veer around me at the last second throughout the 48 states.
A Crash so terrible that a single tire rolls down the street. people how bout we drive with care like your one and only life depends on it.
As a firemedic I see stuff like this all the time…having to cut the deceased out of the vehicle when there are body parts everywhere is hard because then it becomes a puzzle on the tarp. They should put a plastic yellow sheet over the windshield, tow it down to the medical examiners office then sometimes we end up cutting the car apart then, but leaving that car in the open like that without a tarp, sheet, or any cover irks me because no one deserves to die like that first of all (although the driver was being extremely reckless) there is still a respect the on scene crew needs to preserve by covering up the deceased. Respond to stuff like this to often. My last motorcycle vs vehicle my motorcycle patient was decapitated so no fun hunting down the poor man’s head…this job is a calling, doesn’t pay well, and is hard on the heart, gut and brain…but worth it because every day is different, and I love my patients and love being outside all day. ❤️ I’m praying for these peoples families for sure. No one deserves to hear their loved ones died in a situation that could of 100% of been avoided. 🙏

We had an accident similar to this 3ish years ago west of Omaha. Four teenage girls 15 - 16 were on a paved county road, 55-speed limit going an estimated 90 mph by Sheriffs Dept. All were DWI. Hit a guard rail, flipped, and slide 100 yards before impacting a tree and catching fire. All perished.
To this day, no one has been willing to testify as to where the alcohol came from. We see this DUI stuff all the time around here.

some firemen friends told me once you smell death, you never forget that smell. friend also said that the nastier smell ones come from homicide victims who been DOA for awhile and that smell even penetrates thru your breathing mask. (example: evidence recovered during the search at Jeff Dahmers residence).

The upright tire completely separated from its wheel. At 1:15 car looks like from a colorised Hitchcock tv set. Uber driver was very lucky.

@@DimitriosChannel - They also chose their jobs. They knew they would, at some time, see these horrors. When I was in the Police force (England) we got on with the work and only then had time to mentally and physically go through it. It is very true what you said.
It does. After particularly bad ones we get to do what’s called a CISD (critical incident stress debriefing) where our counselors come, we have a service dog at our dept for therapy too but we talk about the call, and if we need time off or more therapy or what not we can also contact the CGC or code green campaign and get counseling through them. They were a non profit that was started because of all of the suicide among first responders. Calls like this one are def tough but we have seen so much that you become hardened in a way. :(

Well you know it's bad when on scene puts a black screen up on the vehicle. Except for the firetruck it was so quiet it as scary.
I may have seen this same scene on another video because you could definitely see one of the burnt skeletons in the passenger seat and his arm as well plus what appeared to be legs sticking out of the driver side.
