When I grow up and become a Proper Crocheter, I want to be able to create things even just half as gorgeous as Marigold is. The colours, the scales, the expression on her face, the attention to detail - incredible. Thank you for letting us see her come to life!
I totally agree with it being a sculpture instead of just an amigurumi! It seems your whole soul was tossed around with this one, but the outcome was amazing and she’ll most definitely sit proudly on a shelf. I’m glad you shared your experience and hope this week will treat you well☺️
I have no word to express how Beautiful your piece of Art is!!! The expression of her face, her wings and "flower -tail" are so unique and amazing! And, I agree with you about are important was to keep the place for her baby...I think it brings it to another level when designers make their pieces in movement or placed in a situation......Congratulations for this Lady Dragon! She is surely one of yours most achieved amigurumis 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
She is amazing!! I can't imagine making all the scales, but the result is unbelievable! 😍😍😍 I'm also more than happy to see more pattern-less mind-blowing projects/design walk-throughs! How many (sewing) stitches did you use to attach a scale? Like, how thoroughly are the scales sewn on?
Im homeschooled and am currently in bad autistic burn out to the point i cant do normal school work so im useing crochet as math english and grammar all in one! Thank you for providing me school work😂❤
Hey I hope you start to feel better soon (if you don't already!) Being autistic, I know burnout is just terrible. Crochet is definitely a helper when it comes to burnout haha
Amazing. This was a fascinating process to watch. Pattern or not I'm so glad I was able to see all the steps you took to make this beautiful piece of fiber art.
She is absolutely beautiful, friend! Thank you for all your hard work! Even if we don't get some of your patterns, you have every right to keep them to yourself, and I for one, enjoy watching anyway. It's miraculous to see your beautiful artwork come together. 😊
Thank you for all the beautiful design that you shared with all of us that are in love with crochet. Im going to send pics of what I will make from your channel, I promise. I had learned a lot from you, just wanted to said it, please keep your hard and beautiful work, because it’s a blessing.
Your videography, editing and narration are so entertaining! I often find it hard to be patient for a huge project like this - but I'm not tempted to skip ahead at all with this one!
Wow Wow Wooooooow!!!!!!!!!! You never cease to blow our minds to mush! Marigold is *STUNNING* to say the least! You've put your heart & soul into her xxx
I remember seeing this on Reddit when you posted the progress picture & the final product of Marigold! I really love the way you did this piece; I have only ever really worked with patterns in crochet and have always had a "I need to make this a readable pattern" if I was to make something on my own from scratch. I feel like I would enjoy building a piece like this! Thank you for sharing your process :)
I really enjoy your artwork and style of making these gorgeous dragons. With my illness sometimes hard for to read a pattern so sometimes I just go by diagrams are better for me. Even free style crocheting i enjoy doing but if any one ask how i make something is hard for me write down on paper. I can try and tell people what i used.
Marigold is so beautiful. I love her. My aunt used to crochet me quilt blocks but i never got into it. Crochet takes patience and good hands. You have real dedication with all those scales. I really love the wings as you can pose them being on wire. They are light and unique. They don't flop over like most would without the wire support.
You know, even though this is a 'what I did' rather than a 'how to', it really teaches the process of how to design and assemble something of this complexity. Just based on this video, i would be willing to have a go at it. However. i have absolutely no idea what to do with it afterwards. i have a super small place and nowhere to put it. After all that work it would have to go into a plastic bag and out in the storage container. Unless you have a suggestion, i won't try to tackle it. But i really want to. Love your genius creativity, and your generous use of your time teaching and entertaining us.
This is a beautiful lady and looks like a wonderful mother and please tell her I love her very much. Now I feel the need to go back and watch all the other dragon videos ❤
this is beautiful. i cant express how much i love the art styles of your amigurumi, you are definitely one of my top favorite designers since i found your etsy and channel
I absolutely love this piece. she looks so beautiful! I first saw her in the background of your 1, 10, 100 hour owl video (also really good by the way) and was blown away. really inspiring
OMG! Your dragon is incredible. Your imagination is unbelievable. You are fantastic, you give lessons and make big bucks. I just can’t believe your dragon so unbelievable. More I need more, I love getting mesmerized.❤️
She is beautiful, amazing work! 600 pieces!!! I can't even bring myself to sew on more than 5 so I can't imagine trying to attempt anything on this scale, pun intended. You can really see all the work you put into her.
Darn I wanted to save this pattern for a fun time, but I completely Understand why you didn’t. Free handing without worry of a pattern unlocks the most AMAZING creations. You can get the angle and shape you need with wild methods and that’s so liberating and exciting!! Ahhh Great work and Thank You for sharing the video of the process
I'm watching you because it inspires me to play more when I'm doing crochet - and less following a recipe. I've got a whatzit flat piece that I've done because of this idea so seeing your beautiful works just helps the desire grow. Never feel bad for giving us tools to create instead of just patterns.
I get what you mean with the sculpting thing. I am crap at keeping stitch count and my projects come out much better once I figure out what the pattern is trying to do vs just following instructions. Marigold came out beautiful and something like this has made it onto my crochet bucket list :)
This is so helpful - I had never consider creating a base for a stuff toy then covering it in detail and a nicer color I bet it helps the toy stay firm.
This is. . . wow. That was amazing. I could never imagine designing the base for that thing, much less actually having the grit to churn out all those scales and sew them on. Marigold looks phenomenal!
For anyone looking for the pattern for the dragon, I did make a video on it! You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/t_vIGxuz3g8/видео.html
Wow! I'm new to this channel and I really apprecieate that you decided to make a pattern for this!
well done in making that effort. I wasn't sure you would be willing to after allllllll that work on Marigold!
How successful is money making with patterns is making a video for free and getting paid for views more successful or is making a paid pattern?❤
Hi, this is amazing! Is there any video showing us how to make the scales please?
When I grow up and become a Proper Crocheter, I want to be able to create things even just half as gorgeous as Marigold is. The colours, the scales, the expression on her face, the attention to detail - incredible. Thank you for letting us see her come to life!
You could try now!
Just do it now!
Just keep practicing and one day you’ll be able to crochet your own marigold!
And the pose too! It's one thing to do a nice design, but to give the animal such a fluid motion to its pose is a whole 'nother skill!
I totally agree with it being a sculpture instead of just an amigurumi! It seems your whole soul was tossed around with this one, but the outcome was amazing and she’ll most definitely sit proudly on a shelf. I’m glad you shared your experience and hope this week will treat you well☺️
Have a good week Mr Jam!
Shes gorgeous!!! The amount of time you put into this is incredible! I love seeing how you make your projects, it gives me inspiration!
I'm glad you like her! :)

How many (sewing) stitches did you use to attach a scale? Like, how thoroughly are the scales sewn on?
At minimum, 2, one in each "corner" so they can hinge for proper movement. But some are sewn the whole way around!
You are a true fiber artist. Wowwwww.
Im homeschooled and am currently in bad autistic burn out to the point i cant do normal school work so im useing crochet as math english and grammar all in one! Thank you for providing me school work😂❤

Amazing. This was a fascinating process to watch. Pattern or not I'm so glad I was able to see all the steps you took to make this beautiful piece of fiber art.
I've learned so many techniques from you, thank you so much for your generosity.
Wow. Im so inspired to make something complicated with loads of pieces
that is so cool. i definately dont have the willpower to make something that complicated and detailed
She is gorgeous
She is breathtakingly gorgeous! What a feat. I am stunned and in love. This was so interesting to watch.
She is so gorgeous! And while I am sad I will never have one exactly like her, It makes her beauty all the more stunning!!
This is why I do all my crochet in as few pieces as possible. I really don't like sewing up afterwards so I just do the scales included.
She is absolutely beautiful, friend! Thank you for all your hard work! Even if we don't get some of your patterns, you have every right to keep them to yourself, and I for one, enjoy watching anyway. It's miraculous to see your beautiful artwork come together. 😊
She is absolutely gorgeous and the level of skill and attention to detail are phenomenal! Her babies are so cute too!

This is stunning. I can understand how the word Fiber artist came to be. this is literally art
She is GORGEOUS ❤
Your dragon took a lot of work and time to create. She is beautiful and an inspiration. The details were especially well done? Just amazing.
I love her and I absolutely cannot wait for your YEAR OF THE DRAGON - every dragon you make makes me *heart-eyes* at them.
I remember seeing this on Reddit when you posted the progress picture & the final product of Marigold! She is an absolutely amazing piece of art!
This is absolutely insane! Your dragon is so pretty and detailed. I can't even imagine how much work that was with all of those different pieces!
This is beautiful. i love seeing her in the background. She is a work of love.
Its absolutely amazing!! And i totally feel that "no written pattern" because it really takes the fun away from a project!
Wow! ❤ That's a design&crochet ARTIST.
I love watching you piece Marigold together. This is amazing and beautiful. I truly could not se me doing such beautiful work .
She is fantastic. Thank you for sharing this with everyone. The pink picking though the yellow is marvelous.

I'm so amazed and transfixed! New life goals.
She is stunning. And you are an artiste.

Maybe try one of her 10 hour projects. There was a 10-hour owl that is pretty satisfying and kind of small.
Oh my God! You are amazing, creating this gorgeous animals. Congratulations.
This is a beautiful lady and looks like a wonderful mother and please tell her I love her very much.
Now I feel the need to go back and watch all the other dragon videos ❤
She turned out so pretty in the end! All the little details really added up in the end ❤
Wow. You are an artist. An inspiration. Love how you creators have stretched something so simple as crochet.

That was nothing less than amazing!! You are brilliant. I love it!😊

Wow! You are amazing! Incredible designing and finishing!
Thanks so much! :)
The two tone scales remind me of a lion dancer's lion. Love this cute chicken lion flower dragon!
This is. . . wow. That was amazing. I could never imagine designing the base for that thing, much less actually having the grit to churn out all those scales and sew them on. Marigold looks phenomenal!
Individual scales always feels like a good idea at the start of the project 😂
After I realized each scale was its own piece I was suddenly VERY concerned. You absolute madlad.
Wonderful piece of work. Have a great time off and can't wait to see more videos of your creations.
Absolutely amazing!
Wow, that's amazing! It definitely shows how much work you put into that! Good job!
