    These kind of videos are a huge inspiration and help. I've begun printing my own suit, and being able to see multiple people's steps and advice just makes it feel not so daunting.
    Also my favorite MCU movie is Iron Man 3, and the suit I'm printing is the Mark 33 "Silver Centurion" from Do3D

    Thanks for posting this. I’m gearing up to tackle my very first iron man suit. I’m going to be pursuing a Mk2 build. But I have a ton of concerns. I am extremely unfamiliar with knowing my way around electronics: so lighting, faceplate automation, wiring, switches, battery packs… it’s all going to be new territory for me. Also, while I’ve been 3d printing for about a year now.. I’ve never made something that NEEDS to fit the wearer as perfectly as an iron man suit does. I’ve never used armorsmith before. And with the expense of this project, even for someone who knows what they’re doing… the cost of the build is enough to make me nervous about all of the trial and error prints that I’m going to inevitably end up needing to do. Sizing the helmet I think is one of my biggest concerns. Not only to make it to the right size for my head, but to make sure there is room for electronics later.
    I think the paint is an important step in the process, but not really one I’m even concerned with yet, as I have so much to do before I even think about sanding and paint.
    I will say this though: I think building an iron man suit is the literal pinnacle of 3d printing for me. It would be a dream come true to have a few variations of the different iron man suits, let alone just one.

    • @SaturdayMorningProps
      @SaturdayMorningProps  10 месяцев назад +1

      Definitely will have tutorials for electronics coming, and reprints definitely happen and some pieces may fail while printing. Don't let it get you down and just push through it. I have a helmet sizing tutorial and just scale the helmet about 2% larger for motorization 👍 here for any questions

    • @wonderboyrox
      @wonderboyrox 10 месяцев назад

      @@SaturdayMorningProps I really appreciate that. And yes, I’m quite familiar with your helmet sizing tutorial. I have used it on my mando helmets and even my one year old sons grogulorian helmet. However, I find the “sizing heads” models to be quite difficult to use when sizing an iron man helmet. It is far from your ordinary bucket shape. Some people seem to use a removable magnetic jaw for a better fit.. but I’d prefer to only have one moving piece on my helmet (the faceplate). Which, again, makes sizing the helmet challenging. I think mostly because of the “lip” that wraps around the bottom of the helmet. I don’t want to look like an iron man bobble head. 🤦‍♂️

    Hey man, great video! I have a strange question for you. Where did you find those PVC corner pieces you use in your spray booth? Those look extra reinforced and I'd love to find something similar near me, but don't know what to call them. All I find is corner connectors that are straight small pvc connectors.
