Never in history were people who started witch hunts on other thinkers and cleaners on the right side of history. I was so appalled that I won’t use Godot anymore. I just released the first game and I liked it but I’ll go back to Unity or RayLib.
I wonder if this was inspired by Unity. For last few months Unity lost many users, which switched to Godot. Maybe Unity wanted to take back the market and somehow provoked this drama?
lol - leftism is a disease in and of itself. The biggest problem with open source is this kind of crap can happen with little accountability. Well, other than forking - which if this isn't corrected may happen. Or now that Unity has corrected their blunder, may resolve by people just going back to Unity. It's a shame since a credible threat like Godot is valuable to keep the likes of Unity in line. I guess we will see if Godot can right itself or continue down in flames.
Its an answered prayer for Unity. This is why we should veiw these as tools no fanboyism but Godot is MIT so anybody can fork this code, so this is not as big of a deal as people think. Godot is Open Source so nobody actually controls the code.
Seems like we gotta start creating our own games and engines fr now. Thank God I've already started to gather sources for it. Ffs is it this difficult to just make and maintain a free open source engine without imposing their morals into people's🍑?
