Started doing all these after highschool. I saved money every paycheck and went to a community college with scholarships and financial aid. Then got a stable job and I paid for my bachelor's degree with no loans. And I just bought a house a few months ago and now I'm focused on investing! It's finding the balance between wants, needs, and practicality! 😊

Great video, Humphrey! After reading rich dad poor dad I recognised some bad money habits that I had. (not sponsored:P) Since then I started investing and changed the way I spent my money. Also, I have found myself putting more value on the things that I already own. I guess changing my bad money habits has also allowed me to indirectly create less waste to the planet 😆

If you have a new credit card that's 0% interest for the first 12-15 months its fine to make minimum payments for a while. I usually do this if I plan on making a big purchase. I'll get a new cashback credit card that pays you $200 for spending $500 - 1000 in the first 3 months. Then its like free money :)
Definitely some good advice! Last year I was saving 20k in my checking account of new money, but kept having subscriptions that were set to auto pay take money from my account. Felt like I was getting robbed every time. I think all/most are cancelled.

Luckily I do not have this life style creep issue, my roomate does. I can afford a $2100/month apt with my next place, but I am single no kids and only responsible for myself and unfortunately incurred a lot of debt due to a bad car accident a couple years ago. I plan on getting an $850/month apartment which there are some in my area, and using the rest of my income to quickly eliminate that debit. I wish there was a way to reach my roomate about his spending habits, but alas he is one of those "Treat Yourself" people when he makes significantly less than I do, not bragging just saying he spends well beyond his means and it's one of the reasons I will be getting my own place in a couple of months.
