Ang Lee came here a lot when he was living in Tainan as a child & teenager. Sometimes he skipped his high school classes, where his father was the school principal, to kill time at this theater. This is his favorite theater & like a Nuovo Cinema Paradiso to him. He visited this theater several times again after winning Oscars too. BTW, I am the Tainan guy who left a comment about locally grown tea trees, coffee trees & cocoa trees. Also, the Mandarin Chinese translation for milk fish in the inf. section should be 虱目魚 instead of 牛奶魚。Cheers.
