Another subscriber found through Joel's Wild Your Garden page algorithm! Thank you for speaking all of these truths, it's so bloody important. All of these tips are great. Moles are incredible too, and I appreciate you sticking up for them. I've been growing and nurturing my wildlife garden for a good couple of years now, and it's slowly starting to take shape. Already had multiple Brimstones fluttering around the tiny buckthorn shrubs I planted this winter, so I ordered another larger plant to add in another part of the garden. I'm hoping I've got all the habitat varieties laid out, so it should be buzzing with life more and more so each year!
Thanks so much for getting in touch and, (without exageration/bullshit), it pleases me enormously to hear of the great things which you are doing. Often I feel that there are so few of us that REALLY understand what needs to be done to make a difference. You getting in touch helps to keep me positive! Best wishes, Chris
@@Ultimatewildlifegardens-ng7mw ahh no worries Chris! Nature is all we need, and it is a beautiful thing to behold and be a part of. We shouldn't be afraid to stick up for what is right and true, so well done! Love Lotus x
Thanks Chris for your knowledge over these videos. I'm Starting to think on what i need to achieve in the autumn so i went through these videos. I made a container pond this weekend closer to the house to offer a more convient water source for the birds by the feeders and more options for pond life. By accident we observed a young grass snake not to far away from this by a deadwood pile. And not too far away from that are hazels and berries. What you pointed out in the video would be a haven for small mammals. My ignorance to what was happening there has now flicked the switch in my brain. Hopefully the water source helps make that area thrive more so but also the birds now have a close place to drink.
I love your videos. You make the topic very interesting. I have a large garden and my husband and I strive to make the garden wildlife friendly. We live in a very rural community but the fields all around us are intensively farmed without any regard for wildlife. The field behind us has had the same crop for six years. It is awful to see the cycle of spraying of pesticides and fertilisers that is applied. You are very knowledgeable and I hope to learn from you. Our neighbours have a lovely organic small holding and they have a wild swimming pool they share with the wildlife.
Yes I do very much know where you are coming from as regards neighbouring land - I have the same problems. It makes a huge difference to me to know that you feel the same way. Best wishes, Chris
