I was a competitive swimmer for 17 years and can't imagine what a slap in the face this must he for the biological females that are forced to compete against him. So now apparently a man's feeling take the front seat to women's hard work...disgusting! That is actual misogyny! To put this in perspective, I was nowhere near the caliber of athlete that someone like Ruley Gaines is, but I worked out for 4 hours a day. 4am swim practice before classes and another two hours after classes, not including the weight training and calisthenics. All of that hard work for over a decade!!! This man comes in and makes all of the hard work these women put in mean nothing because he feels that his personal happiness is more important than their lifetime of hard work. What a disgusting and selfish human.

I have no problem with Lia competing in MALE swimming competitions in the spirit of fairness.

Transitioning is fine, do what you want, but to force everyone else to warp reality to suit you is absurd to a degree that I don't think we have yet to create a word for.

Whereas any top 2000 ranked college swimmer in the USA can achieve the same as what Thomas has in the past few months. If you choose to die on this hill you need to keep the same energy for all sports. If you believe Lia Thomas swimming in the women category is okay you are also saying a male ufc fighter transitioned and getting into the octagon and absolutely pummelling a female ufc fighter into a coma is okay.
