I love passion planner too! I categorize the to do list space into sections for self, work, family and home. I divide the today’s focus box and put dinner and temperature up there. And I love covering the dark bar with washi. Now thanks to you I also draw a vertical line after Friday to designate Saturday and Sunday more clearly on my Monday start. Great video thank you!
I was looking forward to this weekly comparison, and you did not disappoint! Love seeing how the same week looks in a variety of planners. What a cool concept! 💛
The weekly I got from Target is an 8.5 X 11 horizontal. (Never thought I'd go that big again! Lol!) My one and only issue with it was split weekends as I usually write a ton of what we do like a daily log. I solved that problem by making a section of the dashboard on the left page my Saturday (This is why I love stickers) and I have plenty of space for both weekend days now.
I love these videos. They are so helpful. I love the layout of the passion planner but, like you mentioned, I cannot get over the amount of black on the page. It is too visually distracting for me.
Another great video. Im thinking Passion Planner or Hemlock....but im also torn with makse life. But i do think i have it narrowed down to 3. Lol.Also...Pierce is doing such a great job editing!! 😊
That's a great idea for this video in future year! I will be including horizontal and vertical in my Top 5 Weekly Planners for 2025 video coming out this fall;)
Thanks for sharing about the Hemlock and Oak planner. It’s funny. Once I started searching out one planner, all of a sudden I’m seeing ads for all sorts of planners that’s totally fine by me. I can really nerd out on this stuff hahahah
Thank you, Amanda! I love your videos. ❤ They are so helpful.! And I also just enjoy seeing the different options even if it’s not something I might end up buying :)). Watching this video made me think of a weekly planner I have been using for a couple of years now, which is a little outside of what you typically review, but I thought it might be something different for you to consider reviewing …A little bit along the lines of something like Katie Daisy with it being designed with an artist. Perhaps you are familiar with LANG Companies? I first started buying their wall calendars several years ago, which are beautiful and I ended up buying one of their planners a couple of years ago which I really enjoy. It is the Lang “Deluxe Planner” - they have many artists and do different variations… But the design I have enjoyed and purchased is called “Field Guide” The artist is Susan Winget. I very much enjoy her art and really feel this is a beautifully created planner, especially for a budget planner. (About $25 - 17 month planner). It includes various extra pages such as holidays, passwords, addresses, and several notes pages. it also has a couple of stickers sheets included, and double sided pocket. it is a ring binder with a hard cover and rounded corners… Though I don’t carry it around constantly, it has been very durable. One thing I enjoy about this planner is that it is not stark white paper and it is easier on my eyes. It’s a lot of fun and enjoyable, and I think a great value for someone who is drawn to this style of planner 😊.
I actually think that H&O weekly is pretty compact. Especially their minimal one which wasn't in this video- but was in my review video;) But I get it...we all are looking for different things in size and portability.
Hi Amanda! For the 2025’s you should check out PlanBold. She has a horizontal weekly and for 2025 she is going to have a new vertical weekly!! There is also meal planning and workout logs for each week. Beautiful paper.
*cries in horizontal* I'd love to see a rundown on a bunch of the more modest A5 productivity planners like Legend Planner, Clever Fox, Go Girl, Wordsworth, Simple Elephant, Polestar, Purpose Planner, etc.
I currently use an Erin c. Compact vertical. But that passion planner intrigues me. Never seen one before. I have used the ones from Home Depot before they were very portable too.
Great video - thank you! I have been on the hunt for a weekly planner (vertical or horizontal) that has plenty of lined pages at the end for note taking. I work and take a lot of notes in meetings. Every year I struggle to find such a planner. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
You can add pages to Plum Paper, Golden Coil, Personal planner, agendio...so you could add as many as you want. Erin Condren also just added this feature to their lifeplanners. It's not as flexible as the other companies I mentioned but you can add a set number;)
I just got another comment about this too! That is a great idea for the next time I do this video. But for now I will be including Horizontal layouts in my Top 5 Weekly Planners video coming out this fall:)
I think Collided Flagship Makselife will be my choice next year. I am using their goal planner, and I am in love with the paper quality and colors. However, I was not able to find it in the store.
These are the 2024 Flagship Covers. I am not sure what one you are looking for- but they could be sold out on it....they will have new covers launching for 2025. If I didn't understand your comment please share more so I can understand;)
Love this! Do you know of any that have a weekly dashboard view - with a list/brain dump space on one side and the days listed on the other for scheduled things? she plans, inkwell, spaces, and plum paper all have this. But I didn’t know if I’m missing any! I guess that’s kinda how you used momagenda?
The Happy Planner has a dashboard layout in big, classic or mini size. I have been inspired by Kristen Kremer to draw up a hobo weeks style in an EC monthly planner.
Check out the horizontal planner for hemlock and oak's 2025 lineup. It's new, one page js theweekly overview and the other is blank with task check off boxes alo g the center border.
I’d love to add Sterling Ink Common planner to this list 😊 Personal preference, though I’m definitely gonna pick up a Passion Planner at their next Pi Day sale ❤
Sterling Ink looks amazing. And they are on my list to try and get to review this next year;) I love Hobonichi Cousin and have been using one this year...but it would be fun to try a Sterling Ink:)
I understand how that weekly page in the Duo might not be enough for a lot of people. I also don't love that it's not dated. They could have put a vertical weekly spread in there and I think lots of people would have loved that!
Thanks so much for these comparison video. This is helping me a lot as I adjust my 2025 planning wants/needs.Will you be waiting for your 2025 Ashley Shelley Collab before you review monthly planners?
I am so happy to hear these are helpful:) And yes- I just got in my Ashley Shelly Collab and I get to share it early with my Patrons Aug. 12th- but I can't share it until her launch RUclips video on Sept. 5th. Then I will be doing a Top 5 Monthly Planners video later in the fall too:)
Erin Condren is my personal favorite...But Plum Paper has a lot of great customization options...and Happy Planner is a good one too. Those are my top "teacher Specific" planners;)

I completely understand! I am glad the video was helpful:)
I hope they do a lighter gray one day!
There is also the Jibun Techo which is also vertical weeks.
That's a great one! I have a review a few years back on it;)
Another great video. Im thinking Passion Planner or Hemlock....but im also torn with makse life. But i do think i have it narrowed down to 3. Lol.Also...Pierce is doing such a great job editing!! 😊
Well those 3 are all so good! It makes it even harder to decide! And I will pass your compliment onto Pierce:) Thank you!
oh that Laurel Denise!, I love everything layed right out and ring bound.
Hi Amanda, is it possible for you to do review of horizontal weekly planners?
That's a great idea for this video in future year! I will be including horizontal and vertical in my Top 5 Weekly Planners for 2025 video coming out this fall;)

I had never seen the Lang planners. I just went on amazon and they look beautiful! Thank you for sharing these with me:)
@@AmandasFavorites You are welcome! :))
So helpful! Thank you!
You’re welcome, I’m glad it was helpful!
Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤ I love the hemlock and oak but I’ll probably never buy one for the size and bulk. I will try to resize their printable.
I actually think that H&O weekly is pretty compact. Especially their minimal one which wasn't in this video- but was in my review video;) But I get it...we all are looking for different things in size and portability.

+1, recommend reviewing PlanBold if you can. I tried the horizontal weekly this year and the paper and quality is excellent.
@@sarahchase2690 It is awesome! I can’t wait to get the vertical layout for 2025
