    Love it. Would love to see some of your bulk/ batch sauces in one video. Your curry pastes looked so good.

    Theres a lot of people out there only having £150 or less to spend on food for the MONTH. When you’re doing your shop and you’re having to put back the salad cream is when you know things have got very hard.

      Absolutely.. it’s a very worrying time with everything becoming more and more expensive.. it’s scary when thinking what it will be like this time next year :( xxx

    Hi Kerry what would be really interesting is a comparison from an older video of a weekly shop that is a similar product buys and that shop now and if you've swapped anything due to cost. We are 2 adults and ours is £70-£80 a week. Xx

    • @KerryWhelpdale
      @KerryWhelpdale  11 месяцев назад

      Yes that would actually.. I’ll do that and see the price difference.. thanks for the suggestion :) xxx

    Love this Kerry, our go to used to be Asda and then a few bits from Lidl, but now Lidl is our main supermarket and As a is the occasional drop in. ❤

      I love Lidl as they sell a bit of everything and if you want brands they do those too :) I always get tempted by the middle aisle though 🤣🤣

    I noticed tomato ketchup at £3.75 and a can of Ambrosia rice pudding for over £2 the other day ridiculas not that i buy the rice pudding but still, it seems to be higher on branded products even those Mr Kippling cakes ( my Mum worked at lyons bakery back in the 70's/80's and i can tell you they made exact same product that went to mr Kippling , Marks and spencers then lyons cake and aslo shop branded ones all made in same batch of mix and sold at different price ranges and packaging

    Thank you kerry, I thought I was the only one that meal prepped 😂 I do the same and write menu, then shop online for my shopping. I save so much doing it this way. (Family of 5) all adults now. I use aldi, I find tesco to expensive. But we all shop whats best for our positions in life.
    Thanks again for your help and advice on shopping tasks for all. You are an inspiration

      I definitely find meal planning the way forward for saving money.. otherwise I just buy a whole lot of stuff, but nothing goes together!! This was it’s all organised and makes me happy! Hehe xxx

    I have always planned meals but lately sort off veered off course and that has seen me spending more each week. Your video has given me a little nudge back in the right direction, sometimes we just need a little reminder. Thanks

    • @KerryWhelpdale

      I often do this too.. find myself popping to the shop more than doing a big shop.. when I do smaller shops, I always spend so much more! Xxx

    • @jaxiann
      @jaxiann 10 месяцев назад

      Agreed! Same here. Also, I just get a bit bored with having the same. I find in summer I go off course. Your comment inspired me to just set a standard meal plan. For example taco Tuesday etc. then have free meals on the weekend when there is more time to try new recipes.

    frozen veg like carrots , green beans, and onions and peppers a must for me , fresh veg goes off quick x

    • @KerryWhelpdale
      @KerryWhelpdale  11 месяцев назад

      Yes.. frozen veg is definitely the best way to go.. much cheaper and you can buy in bulk too, without the worry of it going off 👌

    Mines around £80 for 3 adults. I've found keeping a notebook of all that i spend in the supermarket has helped me see what I'm spending most on. Fruit is making it more expensive at the moment filling my trolley with strawberries blueberries and cherries. I do a big online shop every 4 weeks and a couple of top ups for fruit salad and milk. We have frozen veg as my husband and daughter ask why the carrots taste odd when i buy fresh 😂

    • @KerryWhelpdale
      @KerryWhelpdale  11 месяцев назад +2

      Fruit really is sooo expensive.. I only really buy frozen berries as the fresh ones go off so quickly and are just so so very expensive :( xxx

    I do menu then break it down into shopping list then look at what I’ve already got in its cut my bill down, I like that tesco allow you to buy veg singular so I can buy 1 onion 4 carrots, less waste

    • @KerryWhelpdale
      @KerryWhelpdale  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I also like buying singular veg.. also a lot less packaging when buying it too.. everything comes with soooo much packaging 😳

      Oh I know.. always hungry! My boys now eat adult size portions so we are feeding 4 adults so it’s all very expensive 😳🥴

    It’s funny you saying that the middle aisles of Aldi and Lidl are tempting. It’s very true. But I find that with online shopping - they always bring up suggested items and that draws me into spending so much more than if I go in store and just get what’s on my list. 🤣 I can’t win. Thank you for the video. I need to do your bulk pasta sauce idea and freeze portions. We frequently end up getting home late or not feeling in the mood to cook what was planned, so that’s a great time saver idea. ❤

    • @KerryWhelpdale
      @KerryWhelpdale  11 месяцев назад +2

      Hehe yes that ‘suggestions’ list is very tempting I do agree!! Haha!! Honestly.. the pasta sauce is the best.. then you never feel guilty when doing a speedy dinner and serving that on top of pasta as it’s packed full of goodness :) xxx

    • @KerryWhelpdale
      @KerryWhelpdale  11 месяцев назад +1

      Oh no.. our food shop is £130 plus when I buy all meals for. The supermarket.. when I use HelloFresh, then I would say I spend around £80 or so on my food shop each week.. or I can make a big food shop stretch for 2 weeks (with a top up of bread and milk) xxx
