I was dying to know who the couple was that converted to Orthodoxy was. I am Eastern Orthodox Christian sooo I was pretty happy when I heard. And its so cool to know its Jonathan Jackson.
i think her family just never gave her a strong sense of self. I think the cult so easily influenced her because she was sort of a blank canvas in a way. It also seems like throughout the book the parents knew something was up but never really intervened because she seemed to be practicing in a religion they themselves already instilled in her. The parents also seem like folks who were going through identity issues themselves and couldnt give her a strong sense of self that would cause someone to be worry of people like the people in the cult.
Cult leaders anonymous: I have about two-ish people to accept raccoons as higher beings of existence. 😉 It's going great.😆 Jkjk Love the podcast btw! Just finished Dinner for Vampires. 🩷☺️
