Me

Wolfian which is exactly why I’m here. Blizzard has abandoned me, so it’s time to try PoE.
glad to have you :D i stream PoE Semi Daily and am messing around with a bit of fallout youtube content but path of exile is currently the main stay so i hope you enjoy the content ^.^
Wolfian I’ll definitely be checking it all out!
Yes, I am here to join too lol.
lol I'm here because I was abandoned. Well, at least until the new torchlight comes out
I'm going to install this today. And give it a shot. Diablo immortal has made it abundantly clear that POE needs to be given a proper shot.
Well, according to ALL Diablo 2 players, PoE is the true successor of D2, so that's saying something
Well? Did you get a chance to take it for a spin? Any thoughts?
@@marcjustmarc6990 I'd like to know as well
I also would like to know how your experience was.
D3 Refugee here thanks for the awesome video mate it clears up a lot of questions i had about the game. Persoanlly im amazed by the sheer amount of options PoE offers it seems this will be my new home for a while
Same here, I'm installing this when I get home.
@@DanTKD87 30 Hours into the game so far and loving it be sure to check the in game guide offers an extensive documentation as well as the PoE wiki it helps alot!
17:57 LOL
Been looking for a good "up-to-date" beginners guide on youtube and actually didn't find anything good except yours. Good explaining to get new players roughly into the game. Most other guides are heavily outdated so maybe keep this updated (please?^^).
the wrong tab = Infinite laughter.
Hello PoE, Goodbye Diablo
The wrong tab was the best thing I’ve seen on RUclips for a long ass time😂 earned a sub !
Thank so much man!!! Really helpful this game is a bit overwhelming to a beginner
Disappointed with the way blizz is handling Diablo so I'm giving PoE a go!
After this Blizzcon i lost all of my hopes for Diablo and any other Blizzard game, so thank you for this guide :D
me too except overwatch
I love watching my noob friends react to the skill tree, but recently I was really impressed by a streamer. This was a stream series from about 3 years ago (do you know how hard full gameplay videos are to find?) and when he saw the Skill Tree, his jaw did the drop, and he was shocked speechless for like 5 minutes. However, what really impressed me was the fact that he then started reading through his class's skill zone and making an attempt to understand it, and this just blew me away.
My god... A REAL SKILL TREE!! Jesus Christ I've been missing this shit for so god damn long!
Im totally new to poe iv only been playing for 3 week's but iv learned loads and thank you for making my poe experience one of the best iv had in a game,i really mean that dude !! THANK YOU :)
Great guide! New to PS4 PoE and was pretty confused on a couple functions. This got me straightened enough to keep going. Thanks
Thank you. This was very helpful for a player returning after 3 years off.
Is there also a mobile version available ?
not at the moment but theres currently 2 mobile versions that look exactly the same by the same outsourced company /s
Do you guys not have phones?
Yes, There is, it's already announced but not released yet
The skill tree reminds me of the champion system from ESO, nice way to put some perspective on it.
As a complete newbie coming from diablo 3, this game overwhelmed, like a lot. Thanks to this video i am like 2% less scared.
okk wofian im gonna subscribe cause at 24:36 i think you have a storage named something very nice lmao im subscribing as soon as i watch this all the way through lmao and also nice guide few things i didnt know and helped out some nice job dude
Thanks for the video, another D3 refugee here and that skill tree is damn sure overwhelming :)
Thank you for the video, this was extremely helpful. At a glance this game was quite intimidating, but it's rather simple to jump in and get started.
you are going to get so many subs and views now Blizcon was a disaster lol sad d3 PLAYERS
Thank you for this guide, i'm coming from D3 and always wanted try this game out. Cheers!
glad to be of help :D hope you enjoy the game ive been having alot of fun with it so far
Me2 but I’m still lost in this world haha
Thanks so much for this :D Chill and simple guide. Just what I needed
great video very informative and easy to follow, you got a new sub here!
17:57 ahahahahahaa
Watching this while installing PoE on my computer. But tbh as a new player the skills tree scares me a bit. Just a bit :D
This upload helped this PoE noob to an incredible degree. Thanks!
Thanks for making a very thorough and informative video. Going to try this out since a friend is dabbling with it. Obviously far more complex than D3.
Never played it. And now i will, thanks to you! :)
"hope i wont get demonetized for tgat" You fool,Expecting to escape from demonetization's grasps?!
GenesectX take him to the demonetization chamber! And turn it up!
Excited to give this game another chance, since Diablo 4 is probably 6 more years away.
Thanks for this guide, really helps get around the complicated stuff
Blizzard put veggies and bleu cheese in my macaroni with their announcement. Glad to be here.
This was well put together really easy to understand, thanks for all the info!
Great explanation video. I have played 60 hours of this game and I didnt know anything THX for this video
hey wolf, just found this vid while lookig into PoE, thanks for the insight and the help. great video.
Excellent guide, helped me tremendously. Thanks!
You played for 4 whole days and that made you expert enough to create a guide? Holy shit.
great vid. thanks for the info. i haven't even created my first toon yet and i feel like i know everything i need to know cheers.
After seeing the skill tree on a video by Rhykker.....I installed this. Its the Sphere Skill System from FFX!! And this already looks like its going to be far more enjoyable than D3. Gonna Play a little tonight and see what happens!
Very good guide, wish I'd seen this before I started playing... cheers
I love the ffx sphere grid at style skill tree
Played it 2013/2014 it seems it changed a bit 😜 looking forward to the ps4 release in december.
POE really needs an auction house.
hey, I'm here from Blizzard. I can't wait to start playing. Heard good things about this game.
D2 Refugee here, after awaiting the new lineage in the Diablo series, and being severely disappointed yet again, I will be giving PoE a proper chance. Installed last night before I went to sleep. And will be trying when I get home from work today. Thanks for the informative guide, I initially thought skill trees was most of the build due to the excessive skill options. (Gems were a tad confusing due to how many sockets are in near everything)
(EDIT: when is this coming to mobile?)
This is not a tree, this is an entire forest
Awesome video and really helpful mate
Interesting. A few days after a blizzcon.
The "Comet" Omuamua suddently speeds up?
Where it after all a spaceship, and the aliens only came here for a New diablo game?
And when they heard it was only on mobile, they thought "NOPE" And speeds up to get the hell outahere.
I have plated the 10 act of poe with my shadow build, reach the end game and left the game because the enemy was to strong for me. Now i undrstand why... in my passive skill i always go for damage instead of life.. tnx sir for making this video as simple and clear. Now i can make a decent buil ( i guess )
Like he said in the video, your "build" isn't just your passive tree. It is also all your gems and gear. When first getting to maps if you feel squishy (die too much etc) you can go back to earlier areas and farm (currency, better gear, etc) One thing I do is search for build guides to get ideas of skill combos people use and what passives they take on the tree, and what gear they use. Then I change it to fit my play-style if needed. Stick with it, the more you learn about game mechanics the funner and easier making your own builds will become.
Can I play this on my phone?
It's coming to PS4😍😍😍😍
Yes i cant wait it remind me of a game called dungeon siege i cant wait to dive in 😁
So uh, what I'm getting from this is that self found is the only way to play without seizures.
What is the background music in this video?
f1rxf1y did you find out haha?
I just want a d2 remaster+expansion set...
Maybe in 5 years.
Great video , thank you!
You can't do damage when you're dead but you can give off a nasty smell....
Deciding if I should start playing PoE or if I should wait till Lost Ark has a western release. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the guide, I started playing not so long ago, I really want to try your build
)
One question is, did you review the build through Brain Rattler from minotaur? Hammer got a good buffs.
1st time played as a Duelist loved the game, but didn't get very far. 2nd time played as a Maurader loved it even more, but made it all the way to the priest boss and can't pass him. Sadly gave up on one of my favorite games. Hopefully your vids can get me even further. Just subscribed👌
gotta make sure youve got them resists capped :D its been the bane of most people in the stream who are just starting out ^.^ (im streaming right now if you wanna hang out
@@Wolfian maybe that's my problem. After watching this I never realized the skill tree if for life where the gear is for damage. You explained it so simply. That's like the best tip I've heard so far.
^.^ i like to keep things simple since i watched a few guides that had the top comments as "this aint a beginner's guide M8" so i figured id make it as simple as possible :D seems to have helped a few people atleast
@@Wolfian 👌
Does anyone know when this is coming to ps4 ?
So in order for a support gem to work for a skill gem they have to be linked to one and other?
For someone who loves Rogues/Thief should I go Shadow? Are they difficult to learn?
Holy crap! My family will see me next year! Ready to play and ready to die because I don't know what the hell I'm doing. Most teachers with this game seem to greatly underestimate how complex this is for their viewers. I especially hate when they start to get excited and talk faster. Bad teaching methods. Sloooodown!
One last thing i forgot to add is that if you have a gem popup on the right side that you cant level up you can right click the + and it will hide it :P otherwise enjoy your time in PoE
You like hentai you should play For Honor
Incursions are like d2 ladder play
Great video. I tried this game in 2014 but my friend pressuring me to play was not good at teaching me so I gave up.
Great video! Thank you. What quality of life items should I pick up from shop? And when do you live stream? Cheers!
Thanks, video was grat, watched all video. Like from me!
So this game ends? What comes after it ends?
John T U get to the endgame and could join a PVP Guild or just keep grinding for better items and max level (100) wich btw only makes sense in preparation for the next update...or maybe u wanna try another character and start again
Holy shit that's a big skill tree
Great job thx
PoE still looks prett complicated to understand and play, even after the video lol. But still willing to give it a try. I am also still going to play Diablo and yes even Diablo Immortal. Why you may ask? I dont know really lol. I like Diablo and would be awesome to play while on the road imo.
Am I doing this right? As an example im looking for a character that is shooting for minion build.. so im just trying to hit all the minion skills.. That good or dumb as shit?
Who is Allen and why should they add an ad? lol
Now i rely wonna see that demon tab! XD
welp coming back into this game will be easy now with this tutorial.
glad to help :D
So leagues are like picking seasonal for D3 correct?
Watching through the entire video after playing the game a bit myself, and being entirely new. I'd like to add that
You could also talk about prophecy upgrading/trading (some are worth it, and from a post from neversink dev, some items can be upgraded by prophecy? I'm not this far in yet). Also is it better to save silver coins until later? Does your level/act completion dictate the value of prophecies you get? (can you not get IV equivalent prophecies and what not until you clear I/a part of the game?)
For strongboxes, I recently (yesterday) learned about rerolling them, but also you could mention that specific ones are worth it as well. I was told diviner/arcanists are the worthwhile affixes to roll on them (+ item drops too). I'm still new to affixes (and how they function entirely) so idk if diviner/arcanist is what you reroll, or find as is, and the +item drop is the roll you modify?
Trading, you could probably mention sites like poe affix, for learning about mods (tho it hasnt helped me all too much because the information left to learn far outweighs my current understanding of the game, but it'll be good for future referencing), poe ninja also shows traded prices (albeit how accurately idk, I also don't know what 0.4 chaos is in most cases in incursion, so if you could tell me what that details that'd be helpful from now on). And then most of what causes me pain to no ends, is not realizing what mods/mod combinations are good (i assume that comes from game knowledge/play time)
Also, not exactly a beginner question but it's been bugging me because half learned knowledge. Things like crafting, constantly having to refer to vendor recipes wiki because I can't remember for the life of me, etc, or understanding what rooms are good for incursion (i have no clue what to upgrade/swap out even now other than winging it). Whether magic jewels are worth it (at first glance jewels seem rarer, but is it worth grabbing magics to regal, etc? or stick to rares+. Flasks and how to upgrade (how do you go from a diamond flask -> the unique mods, I can make a flask magic with transmutation, but I can't alch them right?)
You also gave us an alternative (acquisition) for trading, but that's only if we don't have premium tabs right? or assuming that we have 1-2 of them, more items than we can sell? Otherwise even without that one 3rd party app, would you still recommend poe trade for learning? (Does it price check rares against their mods/what other people have up if at all?)
phew this is a long one so il start at the top
For prophecy trading i honetly didnt even know this existed until i saw someone selling one in global chat so i have no clue what any of them are worth i do know however that the IV prophecies your talking about are part of prophecy chains meaning that you have to clear the first 3 to get them you randomly get 1 complete it and then randomly get 2 etc etc it also seems you can get most prophecies at any time but its higher weighed towards what act your in my lvl 80 chieftan got kill kudku and kadaka however killing kadaka gave me scaled loot but kuduku didnt because he was in a lvl 10 area but kadaka got added as a level 80 boss
strongboxes wise when i map i generally chance strongboxes just to see what i get theres a chance i get a legendary armorers box and get rich :P now when it comes to diviners/arcanist/cartographers boxes il alch them once and go for it i personally prefer keeping a large stockpile of currency and having a backboard instead of rolling it all away into a strongbox
i know PoE affix exists but i like to learn by seeing what sells from what ive learned big sellers are + Max life because life fixes everything alongside resists also having max life + strength is fantastic because strength = max life so if were looking at armor getting life + strength + 3 resists your pretty rich on rings if you get anything with double + rarity your good or even getting life str + a high res is good also keep an eye on + damage to attacks and + damage to spells as opposed to just + damage because some builds cant even use + damage if you roll 2 good damage to spells mods your probably in the money too also 0.4 chaos is a conversion rate meaning say its 5 alchs to a chaos its worth 2 alchs
honestly ive started skipping incursions because i got bored of them but aim for connecting the boss first and then go for rooms aim for the vault being currency items and get that to 3 if you ever can otherwise just go for ones that have armor and weapons vaults they have good chances at uniques get a sac chamber to get another unique chance if you get a level 3 one roll a leather belt for a chance at headhunter and an explosives room to minimise your chances of missing the boss (you can use the powder charge to reach the boss)
ive had some fun rolling magic jewels ive got some pretty good blue ones but i havent felt like regaling them just yet and wanted to see if they sold as is from what ive learned is people dont look for blue jewels they only look for rare so roll them with alts + augments perfectly and then regal them and sell it based on the two mods or the new one aswell if you get lucky PoE trade macro can check gems by unique name which is how i often price out my blue ones because they have long names
ive never tried to alch flasks and when i needed one i just bought one off PoE Trade i grabbed 2 divine staunching flasks for a chaos each and never looked back flasks drop in white blue and unique it seems so chancing them may not be a bad idea :P otherwise roll em with alts + augments and pray
PoE Trade is what ive used for learning and its gone quite well even if you only stick to unique sales you can generally make a decent amount of money but remember to check the rolls on it if you think they got rather high as for what you mean of pricecheck against the mods im not sure but you can look for the exact rolls you have and see what its priced at my putting them in minimum rolls and looking around a bit so id say poe trade is a good place to learn :P its where i learned
anything else? ^.^
Nope, all answered, thanks a lot, and I just realized I forgot to mention thanks for the good guide. Trailed off as I was thinking of all the questions i had left over.
I do have just one question though about poe trade usage. when an item isnt being sold by anyone else (magic/rares with their odd names), is there any shortcut to searching them up or getting a similar sell value/price check? Most ppl just tell me to trash things, but personally i'd be willing to sell it for an alch if thats what it goes for (more resources to toss on things like strongboxes without cutting into my own currencies). Or do i have to just manually enter the mods in, cause that honestly takes quite a while. Ctrl + q brings me to rings in general and just doesnt help a whole lot, and ctrl + d is what gives me an iffy check
try cntrl alt D i havent found much use for it personally but people have been saying its good otherwise i just check the stats and if its trash i toss it
There is no cool looking armor you can find? You look kinda plain for lvl 76 you can only get cool stuff from the store?
I'm confused on which items what classes can wear. I started a ranger class, only lvl 7 and have just been wearing like plate armor. Does it matter what you wear for ranger?
Cristian Gutierrez since they’re mostly dex the better thing for them is evasion. Strength is armor and Intel is energy shield. But I think it also matters what kinda build you’re going for but I noticed yesterday leveling a ranger I was getting wrecked wearing armor and I swapped to all evasion and it got a lot better. Only lvl 15 my first play through as well.
ranger has an easyer time with evasion gear as you will be trying to stay out of close combat most of the time. and your connecting nodes on the skill tree are dex so dex gear and skills will be easyer to use\wear. i would try to stick with pure evasion gear for the most part. then change up to any evasion hybrid gear if you need easyer access to the socket colours for your skill gems
*wolf in name*
Now thats original lool
POE needs a ingame auction house like wow has. im suprised it hasent got one
ok path of exile i looked at this and i was like well then looks like im going with whatever my playstyle entails btw i cant spell that correctly
Whats your gem set up im new to this game
Diablo 1&2 Refugee here. The skill tree doesn’t look scary it looks fucking awesome!
I do appreciate the overview though, thanks for the vid!
Edit: I played the dumpster fire D3 for a hot minute before I dropped that game and that company like a bad habit. I didn’t need diablo immortal cash grab to tell me Blizzard was died circa 2005-2012
At first glance this skill tree reminds me of the skill tree in FFX. I’m at work and haven’t finished watching yet but I’m assuming that given enough time you can eventually master everything in the tree on 1 character?
If I try to play the game like an offline ARPG like Diablo 2 and the Torchlight games, can I? Or will an inconsistent internet connection hobble my ability to play the game?
its online
I was hoping they would make this game more complicated and focused on gear.
Downloaded this a few months ago. Should have kept playing, because I kissed my sweet prince Diablo goodbye.
F
I started out with templer, currently level 22, is that a good pick?
Name of the song playing in the background?
Hey this game come out on ps4 soon , excited to play 😁 reminds me of dungeon siege a game i used to play.. okay i lie i still play 2 lol
reminded me of baldurs gate on ps2 now that was fun to play
Just for that entro u deser a a like
is there a link to the item filter download? but futher a very nice guide with really helped me start
you should have edited out 17:57 .
