Well, this year there was a war for territory unleashed when the flag of France wanted to monopolize A LOT of space. The Hispanic community organized, like a real war, to reclaim the space and take it from the French. The biggest streamers were the commanders of that war, in which they got support from the English-speaking community and the secret weapon was: The BTS Army.

For context this rewind has been funded by youtubers and streamers, last year Alec spent more than 100k € making this so it is a big deal for the hispanic community. And it's a compilation of all the memes of the year and even the music can be a reference, this can be quite obious but I thought it would be nice to point it out. The reason they show Minecraft a lot is because they do a lot of Minecraft events/series. For example they made an event inspired by the show “Squid Game” where a bunch of streamers competed for $100k, that’s why you saw the Minecraft animation as squid game!

5:50 that was how the fight felt, the girl's fight was the best fight of "La velada del año 2" in case you don't know, this streamer "Ibai" made streamers fight on a ring and this was on twitch. The streamers in question had a some beef in the past (joke or not) and they agree to fight after months of intense hard work. If you want to check it out, is on Ibai's channel the videos are separeted, the fights are: Carola vs Spursito. Luzu vs Lolito. Arigameplays vs Paracetamor. Momo vs Viruzz. Jaguer vs Bustamante
A little more: this event was the most viewed stream in history with more than 3 million concurrent viewers. The Guinness Record even gave Ibai an oficial award.

It is considered the best event on twitch (tho the best presential event is "La velada del año 2") the other Minecraft animations are from series such as Tortillaland 2, Dedsafio, Karmaland, Saw Minecraft games, etc. Minecraft series hit hard this year and they'll probably make more the next year

Well i would like to explain a few things about the french war thing, there was a beef between spain and france biggest part was in pixel war in redditt and recently when french streamers invited spanish streamers to a soccer match but disrespected the Spanish by playing some funny song during their entrance and it was supposed to be between streamers and the french brought people who were not famous or at least known also the people in the stadium threw bottles at spanish streamers. I think it looks kinda weird for an outsider do i just wanted to explain.
Still the rewind focuses on the pixel war which was not that big of a deal just some funny beef
