I'm amazed how many of them are actually trending again because of tiktok/shorts... it's just easy to dance to candy pop I guess. The Europe I grew up in simply had all the genres hit the charts. Thanks for the reminder.
So… If I put that playlist on now, I’d be dancing all the way through… SO many memories for me being born in 1975, knew every single song/tune on this list. ❤
As a 90s teenager, I knew and loved a lot of those songs. Bon Jovi - Always will have special meaning for me, their my all-time favourite band. But I didn't have a chance to hear any of their songs until I was a teenager. I'm the youngest of 8 kids, 6 girls, 2 boys, with 1 set of twins. I was mum's little surprise package. She was 44 when I was born. No, we're not Catholic. Mum had problems with medication with it affecting her twice as much as it did everyone else. Dad refused to do anything. My eldest sister was 23 when I was born. My mum was pretty cool for a 40s teenager. She was an Elvis fan. My dad was an old-fashioned Rock And Roll Is A Message From The Devil type. He was also abusive, so mum and I left him when I was 13. Suddenly, I could start listening to the type music he had hated. My sister, who's 16 years older than I am, moved in with us. I introduced her to 90s music, and she started introducing mum and I to older artists. The only type of music mum never really liked was heavy metal. But she didn't stop me from listening to it. I just had to wait for her to leave the house before I could turn up the volume.
I listened to Ace of Base, Aerosmith, The Offspring, Cradle of Filth, Green Day, and a ton of 80s music in the 90s. Now my favorite 90s music is from anime. Mask by Masami Okui from Sorcerer Hunters, Star by Satou Akemi from Fushigi Yuugi, Get Along by Megumi Hayashibara and Masami Okui, You Get to Burning by Yumi Matsuzawa from Martian Successor Nadesico, We Gotta Power by Kageyama Hironobu from Dragon Ball Z for example.
The 90s were the golden years of RnB. Also a good decade for music. IT all fell apart around 2004.

These songs are all so good. I was born in 1988 so this was my whole childhood!

Life did seem a lot better back in 90’s, definitely some good memories from those songs 😂
Me too… What I wouldn’t give to have the same energy to go out partying today as I did back then… 😅
