Awwwwww, well done Steve (et al) and happy birthday Anne (whoever you are). For a minute, I thought you were going to do a hardwood sawdust cake (lol)
A nice positive alternative video to all the negativity around us.
Happy Christmas to all in the Maskery household.

Hey Steve! Just my kind of humor - very British indeed. In the beginning I truely thought, you'd might try to fake a cake from different sawdusts and woodchips. But the result looked actually quite good.
Have a jolly Christmas season - and stay healthy!
    Best Regards
    Andreas

Great fun Steve, really enjoyed it and I so wanted a piece. However, I wouldn’t go into professional cake making 😂. Merry Christmas, have a good one, all the very best Mike.

Red wine and chocolate cake. A winning combination. Truly gourmet.

Happy Birthday to Anne! Merry Christmas, and a healthy and creative New Year to all of you!
I miss so much the amazing British comedy; Monthy Python, Black Adder, Margaret Thatcher ....
We need to laugh more at ourselves and together, and not be so da.. angry at everyone around us, and tone down our egos. We're in this together, we need each other, and we all have something to learn and something we can give and others can benefit from.
Reach out and be nice to the angry man or woman on your street, as he or she might want a friendly "Hallo, how are you", but is afraid to be turned down or perhaps their kindness has been abused before.
We need more kindness, need more "I just removed the snow from my neighbors' sidewalk".
Let's make 2022 the year where we only feed our egos with good deeds!
Sure, not everyone likes the idea of being kind, and some see it as a sign of weakness, but face to face, most people are quite nice. Especially if you remove them from their cars AND from the comment sections online, they are not that likely to say horrible things to or about you! :o)
    All the best /Pia

Well that takes the biscuit, and is the icing on the cake. I also cook with wine. I have even, on occasion, put it in the food!
