Love the Red and White Color Scheme, it's always been a favorite of mine. I too have been a HiTec fan and am getting ready to make the change to something else. Can't wait to see the maiden. The BOT is a beauty in the air.
Still haven’t started my micro BoT yet. Thinking white body, clear green wings with white tips and clear green tail with white tips. I went with the power package and electronics. Will be flying it with a spektrum dx9 ,which I absolutely hate. It’s looking pretty good. Stay safe 🍻🌲
Sounds pretty, maybe add some gold striping? However, it has been my experience that both green and white do not show well in some conditions, especially on smaller models. Bright orange shows best in all conditions. With some contrasting trim, I use it a lot. Something to consider, maybe?
Excellent, I wondered if you'd gone for the radio gear you'd enquired about. The Q X7 is a really nice tx to handle 👍 For that size of model the weight saving will make a huge difference. Hopefully your local field is drying out - mine is 👍
Open Tx is easy i have been using it for years and Frsky radio gear is also very good . In most cases you can use the wizard to get your plane set up the way you like it. And if needed add extra programming to your model set up for extra features.
Well I’ve just tried to flash the latest firmware, unsuccessfully as apparently there wasn’t enough memory, although I’d stuck a 64gb card into it? I’m sure I’ll discover what I’ve done wrong.
@@A470RCSoaring any small micro sd card will do . I have a 512mb in one of mine with loads of spare space. So you was possible writing to the Tx rom where their is no space.
What prompted the choice of the Taranis over the Radiomaster TX16S which comes with the multi module built in? Slightly cheaper (for the analogue stick version) and leaves the module bay empty should you want to add another module.
No UK suppliers that I could find had a Radiomaster in stock at the time. It’s not the only item I’ve struggled to obtain from UK suppliers since spring last year until now, and increases in shipping costs from EU suppliers has put me off buying from there, especially for smaller items. I’ve just ordered a balsa kit & a few hardware items from Germany & DHL shipping is neatly 20€. The MBoT was $25 from the USA.
@@A470RCSoaring I know what you mean. I gave up and bought mine from Banggood in January. Arrived in less than two weeks but even by mid March the UK suppliers still didn't have them in stock. Just wondered if there was a technical consideration. It has become a nightmare ordering from EU. I have just bought a Chinese vinyl cutter from Vevor, it is being shipped from Germany but my order was to a UK based company. Just waiting to see if duty will be added to the price. If that works I'll be ordering a laser cutter from them with a view to cutting rib sets. My first will be a complete BOT with ailerons/flaps from the dxf provided by Dave Payne. Enjoying your channel, thanks.
I much prefer the spectrum dx 6e as you can use Dsm 2 rx that's all the orange ones from hobby king there cheep and they do some nice light weight ones as well .That is looking good i reinforce for high start with a ply insert you will get some long flight times with that . I put the wood chuck up on ebay sold 3 hours later gone off to its new owner now pic on Twitter @RobertT77910249

Starting to shape up can't wait to see it fly.

I’m hoping the weather will be kind this weekend to get out into my local field. Loving your vids too Carl 👍

I’ve now managed to upload 2.3.11, hooray 😁 I guess the next thing is to set up the BoT as a model now in Companion.
@@A470RCSoaring Why not create two Bot models while you are learning. And use the in built wizard on the Tx and one on Companion.
Good idea. In fact I have a full size Bot to add so I’ll do both at the same time 👍
Nice job
