- After resting at the hostel for some time, I left for the market hunt in McLeod Ganj (Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh). I visited many shops selling Tibetan handicrafts, paintings, clothing article etc. and talked with locals and Tibetan people.

10:35 This is the portrait of Guru Padmasambhava (born from the lotus ) or Guru Rinpoche (The previous guru) in Tibetan . He was a great Indian Buddhist master who was invited to Tibet in the 8th century by the Tibetan King Trisong Detsen . Tibetan Buddhists worship him dearly. He has founded the Nyingma Buddhist school of thought in Tibet.

@@DCTravelerExperience thuk je che means thank you very much. Kha le pheb means come slowly. This is because Tibetans like to walk in circles around places, they like to go on khoras. Which means circles. So once a Tibetan passes another Tibetan on the khora, they will say kha le pheb. Which means take your time and come slowly.

@@DCTravelerExperience bro, I am not sure you Aare still there or not, beggar asking for ration are scam, I have lived in Mc Leod and those beggars let tourists to buy rations and people think it’s better than giving cash,even it is cash maybe 10 hardly anyone give 50 Rs but ration she first pointed at one which cost 650 so many let her take without asking the price as you did, they later sell it to villagers for 50 or 100 Rs less, sorry I don’t mean to discourage someone to give but it is important to know the truth. Hope you have a great time.

I have seen these kinda videos .. if they beg , they might end up getting 10 or 20 rs but letting others to purchase rice n stuff will earn them more.. for instance after u leave, 650 rice she ll sell it back to shopkeeper for 500.. both parties earned

Forget about scam brother but she is not a rich lady. She must be poor and doesn't know how to earn money with her baby. Even if we know it could be a scam we have to overlook it considering her condition.

@@DCTravelerExperience It's definitely a scam! Once I was asked by a similar woman to buy the biggest box of milk powder for her baby. In order to make sure she feeds the baby that milk, I tore the opening of the box so that she is not able to sell it back to the storeowner..

Tibetans have had bad experiences with camera crews in the past. Especially in Bylakuppe settlement. So this is why many Tibetans are afraid of Cameras now. They don't know what you will do with the video footage. They don't know that you are a good person Darshan.
