If the movie did NOT have Julie Andrews or some other similar woman, I can't imagine it would have been as successful as it was. In the book, Poppins is plain.

I remembered watching this movie on Disney plus and I love it. This is my first favorite Disney movie along with Alice in Wonderland.

The difference between them - Disney was more interested in the sugar, Travers was more interested in the medicine.
