All people said " humdardi sab krte h per koi help nahi krta " but let's think about it .how can a wife share her husband . She can't even think about it . So in this case she is not wrong bcoz she loves him she can't share him with anyone.

People dont understand the higher meaning of the story. Any human is only sympathetic towards other as long as it doesnt affect him/herself. All the sympathies wash away. And ends in "main goli maar dungi ussay" yehi hai insaan ki haqeeqat. Hum dosray insaanon ka saath tabhi dete hain jab tak wo hamein negatively affect nhi kerta. Agar wo kare tau hum kisi disabled ya lachaar insaan ko bhi goli maar dein.

This is absolutely wrong, how can someone leave a person who's a part of their life for someone else who's disabled. It's correct that you should have a corner in your heart for people like these but how can you do that what's shown there in the story. According to this he should marry every other disabled girl. I was shocked at the last when he said that.

According to me mantoo was trying to show the boldness of this female character... she couldn't conceive but still she doesn't felt anything inferior about her condition... they loved each other... everything was perfect... it is the male who betrayed her feelings... how could he even think about marrying another time when his wife is so "perfect".... mantoo tries to show the hypocrite mentality of male... that how they could take the privilege of their sex by marring several time as per their custom.... but his wife took a bold move by giving him threat in spite of her so called "deprived sex".... time is changing... women would also take strong decisions in future... they have brain with a heart.... may be this could be the motivation of mantoo behind this story.

It's so simple..the guy wants to help the girl,and out of desperation 'to help' ,he says that he could marry and make her life a lil better.
Asif Iqbal exactly that's the problem he wanted to help... isn't there could be any other way to help.... he could empower her... marrige is not help... he wanted to caught her into the web of patriarchy.... people have faces... and they shows them when the time comes... deep inside he had a wish, his present wife couldn't fulfil it that's the reason he wanted to take other chance in the name of charity.

She is a woman and it is obviously hard for her to share her husband with somebody else but her husband's intension was very good!! He wanted to help the physically disabled Nikhat. It's also not wrong that women have jealously inside them and they want their husband to themselves. Even I do!! But you can't call her husband wrong in this!! He is unlike the others who marry just for lust or money. He is very selfless in thinking about this. He knows that taking care of Nikhat is going to be a task for him but he still thinks about marrying her. If it was just lust then he would have married a good woman with whom he could have enjoyed.!
