The Expanders are that roots Reggae band that would've fit nicely during that Era of music in Jamaica 69-72. So glad to see Devin and the guys on a regular basis here in L.A. Much love respect and positive vibes..
Best sound outside Jamaica.
dudes voice is unreal. speaks measures in terms of spirituality imo. spreading love through culture regardless of race. beautiful
Saw these guys open up for Tribal Seeds in San Francisco in 2014. Got stuck in San Francisco near the civic center all night until the bart train station opened up haha! Loved every minute of it. Most underrated reggae band I feel like.
This version of Something Wrong gave me the chills! They're ridiculously good. I hope they make music for decades to come!
There's something about his voice that reminds me of Bradley Nowell Sublime I know they have their own taste their own voice but there's just a little pitch at the end that always brings me back to my teenage years in my early twenties and now listening to Sublime my daughters 23 my son's 18 and they both grew up on it and they still listen to Sublime and now I'm forward this to them✌✌🎶=❤💜
I remember hearing Expanders back when they were called Guys Three w/ Chris Murray at The Knitting Factory. This is the legit reggae that pays it's respects to Jamaica
I’m a need these vatos, arise roots, John browns body, and Tatanka to come to New Mexico!
It's refreshing to here a roots vibe. Much love

They're clowns
Clowns that can play
@@fifiramirez8300 name a better guy on strings than Kyle you fool. Dude is a boss on guitar, ask any player. put personal taste aside, both those guys are crazy talented musicians. besides, they spread great grooves and positive vibes...isnt that really what this is all about?
@@floridaman7100 right? dudes nuts. kyle is an absolute boss on guitar. both crazy talented.
Is this still the lead singer these days? Maybe he just started eating really good if it is lol cause the video I saw recently he looks completely different. Then again this is 3yrs old lol.
Lol. The bass player is now the lead singer.
@@davidyunissocool I gotcha thank you. Yeah I saw a live stream a few months back and figured that was the case. I was listening to their first album and noticed the bass player has a couple songs on there as well so that makes sense he took over when Devin left. Has Devin joined another band these days or is he pretty much solo?
Dude….
I like the slackers because they don't have fake Jamaican accents.
The expanders, the slackers are the oldy guys lol
there are 2 million of these same bands, bunch of white boys trying to sound jamaican and spanish at the same time, singing about weed and girls. while I enjoy these bands...its kinda getting old, hearing 2 millions different bands singing the same tune.
Hot take.
Man.. To be a good musician these days. You spend your youth being influenced by amazing music and culture. When you decide to play similar music as an homage to reggae roots, people (like this guy) say you can't or shouldn't because of the color of your skin and because other bands play great musicians too. Amazing..
