Too much fun! Everyone remembered their parts on every song, but we disagreed on the details of their choreography and whether we could do them with our old precision, so we agreed just to relax and wing it. As I watch this, it's amazing how the voices remain identifiable even more definitely than the faces after all the years!
What a special night for the performers but also the fans. I have loved Sha Na Na since the beginning with the poster from the live album still in my possession. Thank You Mr. York. You will never know what this music means to me.
When I watch this video it brought tears to my eyes I think you guys are super fantastic. The date on the video is 03 June 2016, and here I stumble across it on 03 June 2019 -- only three years too late for the show. Oh well, better I watch it this way, so I can sing along as loud as I want and won't bother the folks sitting nearby. Hey -- it's great to see everybody looking so good and still into the music and performance!!
As a fan since 1970, I too had tears in my eyes. Thank you Sha Na Na for the happiness and good times you brought to us fans. I was able to attend nearly 20 concerts over the years and remember being mesmerized by the awesome talent and FUN, professionalism and JOY the band shared with us. God Bless Denny, Lennie, Chico, Dirty Dan and Reggie in Rock and Roll Heaven.

All the originals are not there, Denny died the year before this. If he was alive he would have joined this fantastic reunion! No real reunion without everyone and specially Denny! And FYI people, Screaming Scott Simon in the back (the one in blue) is not a original member! He came in with Bowzer a year or two after the originals! Screaming Scott is a long term member, but not original! But this is a awesome video and good to see that they get together again! Miss Denny! He would have made it complete! I saw Sha na na back in the '80s... One thing I always loved about this band was the fact that they seem to be having just as much fun on stage has the audience had listening to them and watching them perform... They were a great great band... And just a lot of fun to watch and listen to
Thanks for this. I used to listen to these guys back in the mid 70's and I was only 11 or 12 years old. Sha Na Na definitely influenced my piano playing. I don't see Johnny here and some other members but the vocals sound spot on.
I'm the same age as the Sha Na Na guys. Saw them at Massey Hall in Toronto in, I think, 1973. Great to see they can still deliver. Fantastic group, fantastic guys.
Where's Bowzer? Oh yeah, he didn't join until 1970. I was a senior in 1969, and everyone went to Woodstock except me. Don't know why I didn't go. Joined the USMC in June 1969, & went to Paris Island on Oct. 6, 1969. Cheers from eastern TN
