ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! So much so, that I have purchased a spare one, just to keep mine going should the need arise...I bought mine brand new in 2010, and hasn't failed one bit...
I've been considering upgrading to a 4k projector, but as you can clearly see, it is completely unnecessary, and for a DLP, I'm certainly not complaining about black levels...just a pity the poor old phone was having trouble focusing, apologies for that. I hope it was ok to use this video to demonstrate.....

It's just downscaling itself via amp to the projector, I hope that helps
One of these projectors just came up on FB marketplace with a screen and full sound system for $500 AUD, would you say it's still worth it now?

Just to ad, these still have among THE best native black levels seen on any form of projector also 👍
