Great video, Matt! Thanks for giving some love to the less-glamorous Dash-8. I've flown on them many, many times - they were used extensively at our regional airport in Norther California. Alaska Airlines / Horizon Air had direct flights to Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas. They've since been replaced by E-175's flying for Alaska and American Airlines now has daily E-175 flights to Phoenix and Dallas.
I do miss the turboprops, though - I found it very easy to sleep on planes that had that turboprop hum...
Thank you George! It is really great to hear from you. A while ago we had SkyWork Airlines which was home-based here at Bern which also flew Dash-8. I enjoyed the flights in this turboprop. The maximum cruising speed of 360 kts (667 km/h) always amazed me. A super fast turboprop. It's been a long time since the last Dash-8 was in Bern. It was a highlight to see this one from Croatia Airlines, carrying out a holiday flight to Brac, a wonderful island in the Adriatic Sea.

The Croat flag scheme is recognizable in all of Croatian symbols, as is the Helvetian Cross. Noticed the lift devices on the fuselage aft of wings. Also, QA seems applicable to model. Quiet Aircraft. Nice job, Matt and a pleasant day to all.

I've flown in the Dash-8 400 way back and they're no fun at all.. Noisy as hell and very crowded.. Packed in tight like a can of Norwegian Kippered Herring! LOL
Thanks. A few years ago we had SkyWork Airlines which was home-based here at Bern which also flew Dash-8. Sadly this airline went into bankruptcy. But I enjoyed the flights in this turboprop. The flights from Bern were always half empty so it was super comfortable to fly with. The maximum cruising speed of 360 kts (667 km/h) always amazed me. A super fast turboprop. It's been a long time since the last Dash-8 was in Bern. It was a highlight to see this one from Croatia Airlines, carrying out a holiday flight to Brac, a wonderful island in the Adriatic Sea.
