I rode mountain bikes on trails and e bikes on the street constantly for the past 3 years. I had a blast, and it was one of my lifes major passions. The moment I got my One Wheel GT 4 months ago, I knew I had found a new passion. I'm not completely done with bikes, but 95% of the time, the OW is where my mind is when it comes to going for a shred in the streets or on the trails (other than really gnarly stuff like bike parks). Both are incredible in their own way, but once you get a taste of the float life, it's a whole new joy.

I call my onewheels my little time machines- time is money and these things help my day runs smoother and more efficiently. Living in NYC for over a decade has let me try many forms of transportation and my Onewheels are BYFAR the most utilized and more enjoyable. I first started on a bicycle, but getting sweaty before work isn’t cool. Electric citibikes have their own flaws- over crowded docks, lack of bikes, lack of charged EBikes. Grab the wheel and rip really is how it be tho. Plus I can take it inside easily to a gym, office or movie theatre.

Kinda forget that you have to learn to ride a bike and the same applies to the onewheel. When i let a friend try it for the first time i always tell them it's like learning to ride a bike all over. Some people can hop on right away and do well but no ones commuting or going on serious rides until they learn the device. Most people know how to ride bikes. Can hope on any bike. I've seen skateboarders, snowboarders, and wakeboarders first rides and its always scetchy. People who've been riding like myself make it look easy, but reality is your first few months with a onewheel is just learning to respect it for what it is. I think its great to have both options because they are so different.

I was going ~15 mph up a slight hill carrying some pickleball paddles and my water bottle like I've done dozens of times before and the OneWheel turned off. No pushback, no beeps, no warning.

It’s not just about speed. If you stay within the limits of the board it’s perfectly safe. If you have the GT you can easily go 20 miles an hour safely which is pretty fast, especially on that. The one wheel is way more convenient and practical to have unless you have a big truck you’re not taking your E bike with you while with my Onewheel I can have a super small car and it will still fit and bring it with me everywhere I don’t have to leave it outside of a store or lock it up. I can just go in the store and throw it in my cart and don’t have to worry about it. Practicality and convenience the onewheel 0:02 easily wins. And if we’re talking about the GT it’s still gets decent range you can go at least over 20 miles on a charge.

I own an electric unicycle, a electric bike and a one wheel the E bike easily wins when it comes to speed and range and hauling things but the Onewheel wins in it being convenient and practical for example you don’t need to leave it outside and lock it up or worry if somebody’s going to steal it since it’s so small you can just bring it with you which is a huge selling factor. It still goes fast.20 mph which is the limit of a class to E bike in a small package and if own a car you can easily throw it in the trunk your backseat front seat on your lap😂 and leave while you can’t really do that with your E bike unless you have a big ass truck one wheel is also more agile and it’s a different feeling and the fact that it’s hands-free is a huge benefit as well. Perfect for short distance runs. Get coffee. Or have as a secondary vehicle with your car especially if you drive downtown and you can just ride it through downtown. Plus it’s just easier to get just hop on and go and like the video said less maintenance.

@@Onewheel I think we need to see a video of OW taking on potholes since you say, "Potholes are no match for Onewheel." And simply dodging them is not always possible. I'm not anti-OW and I spent at least a half hour trying to learn to ride his first one (Pint) without success.
