I bought it on PS3 at launch, and then the 360 one when it hit $20. The 360 version performs much, much better. The game still slows down because it's an EDF game and it's tradition but in the PS3 version the slowdown and framerate makes it hard to aim and react. I never had that problem on 360.
This is such a great game! I also have the PS3 version, and finally beat the game on normal after going into Inferno and farmed some higher powered weapons. Can't remember what my level was at the moment, because I haven't played in a while.

This would have made an awesome PS4 arcade launch title for a few quid on PSN if they had thought of it. They should do a new PS4 sequel asap imo.

EDF 2017 was a reboot of a old ps2 game and EDF 2025 is its sequel. but insect Armageddon was a spin off created by a american company with no connection to this Japanese game. expect sharing a name

Seriously, Japan WTF?! So, way I see it is I could either buy the 360 version and some xbox live time, or just wait on the ps4 version since it has been announced to come out sometime next year in Japan, with no confirmed release date for America. This shit is ridiculous!!!
the 360 always had a higher and more consistent framerate than the PS3. Do you remember how bad the PS3 port of Bayonetta was? It was nearly unplayable.

Thank god for EDF4.1 on the Playstation 4. All the fun of 2025 with some alleviation to the slowdown and even some new content.

That is not a pretty game by any standard, but it's a cool enough concept, so I think I'll still give it a try.

2 player local coop, 4 player online coop (same in ps4)
360 version however does allow you to bring a locl friend online.
