Me and my gf actually did chant "EDF! EDF!!!" a lot after playing this game together.
Nothing like enriching a relationship by helping each other take down hordes of bugs, robots, and flying things.
PLEASE.....PLEASE do a review of Borderlands I know there are allot out there already im sure but the game is so much fun and your style of review is great.
also if u have not played it, the way you are with weapons im sure you will like it
also i was thinking that it would be really cool if you would give the games you review ratings either 1-10 or 1-5 W/E well either way great review here not a game I see myself playing but still 5* as always!!

Mark! Im glad you got around to getting this game. One of my favorite 360 games out there. I have spent so many hours with this game.
Its so true about the Gamestop employees talking crap about games like this because it doesnt have super HD graphics and tons of violence. Its a damn shame.
you forgot to mention the split screen co-op, which is a lot of fun
I love the cheesiness of the entire game, how at the very beggining cutscene the girl says " are they our friendly galactic neighbours, or are there actions more sinister?" that still makes me lol
2 player splitscreen on hard is some of the best fun ever.

I played this game with a friend and the experience was greatly improved when we unlocked a shotgun with such a tight spread, and with such power that at point-blank it literally bone-fucks the enemy and sends them flying across the map.
I love how when i was playing on inferno and my guys were screaming "YEAH!!!!!!!" as they charged ito a group of spiders and within 10 seconds they were all dead,lol
Also forgot to mention the craptacular vehicles you can drive that handle as well as a wheelbarrow. Well, the tank is alright, but the chopper is pretty much good for up and down, almost no maneuverability. The exosuit may as well be a gun emplacement it's so slow and has with limited jump/flight.
Still, wicked fun especially with a friend.
You forgot to mention that it has 2 player split screen co-op! The fun of Giant Ants must be shared with a friend!
I like this channel because they review games that people seriously need to be playing.

This was only 12.99 USD at GameStop and well worth the price. Spectacular run and gun fun. A cross between Robotron and Rambo with giant ants and spiders thrown in for good measure.

@bcbird If your a fan of B-Movie SciFi, and play games to have fun, then yes this is a good game.
I played this a lot when it first came out. It feels a lot like Space Harrier in a way.

There are few words other than pure, simplistic, fun that i can use to describe this game
the draw distance and number of enemies are impressive, i love these underrated low budget games, i need to try this one day, also vampire rain is underrated as a low budget game, just to throw that out will im typing this
You know, there is many famous shooter dudes in the gaming world, DOOM-Guy, Duke Nukem, Master Chief to name a few. But I think EDF-Guy needs to be on the list of the most bad ass shooter dudes ever. He fighting armies of giant ants, spiders, massive space ships, huge killer robots, and all that at once! And he can get run over by the ants, get the space ships dropped on his head, falling long distances, and he don't even care!

Holy guacamole! This game rocks! I had my brother over and we played this and the original on PS2 all thru the night. These Earth Defence Force games rock hard!!!
Blasting those huge creepy ants, spiders, worms, robots and aliens into smithereens gives you the feeeling of being right in the middle of a 50's nasty bug movie.
Just point your gun or rocket launcher in any direction and ka-BLAM your way through. Unbeatable sensation!

This game is cheap but loads of fun! It's a sleeper title!

@Sharkey3331 It is on xbox games on demand for 15 pounds. You would have a tough time buying a physical copy cheaply of a game this awesome/obscure.

You do know that someone already made a Starship Troopers video game, right? It's an FPS for the PC. Hard as hell to get past some parts too.
This is my first game for the 360 and my favorite.

Glad I'm not the only one. I'm only watching this review because I like the way Mark reviews games and I really like the concept of this game but these bugs make it hard to watch without squirming.

One thing you missed (I think) is that while it doesn't have online play it does have spitscreen co-op which is awesome but sometimes the framerate goes to hell.

This game is coming to Vita (Earth Defence Force 3) and will include 4-player online co-op (so I'm told) I know that I should purchase it when it comes out.
I don't mind that since it'll give the game a wider audience and will, hopefully, make the game more known to the world.

I bet that when those giant ants are looking down at other ants from a really high distance, they say the ants look like people walking around down there.

This game reminds me of Let's Go Jungle at my Chuck E. Cheese. It's a blast!
It's a shame nobody else is really making games like this. I'm not a fan of a lot of modern video game conventions. EDF is like old school games, you can pop it in whenever and never really tire of it.
I hope they make it downloadable, cuz, I can't find any copies; now the new one is out, it's a great time for that

Holy shit, it looks like SotC meets COD layered in '50s sci-fi goodness.
Looking at over 100 weapons here. Only game that dwarfs the number of weapons in this game is Borderlands.

Its like a Ultimate Crazy shooter. I can understand why its EZily repetitive. Its pretty good to play every now and then type of game. Good review.
The ONLY problem I had with that game was that it got REALLY laggy in the final mission. All the others were okay which was a little weird
where did you find the cascade launcher?
I like the charm of this game way better than Insect Armageddon. The giant robots looked cooler and were way more fun to kill. Insect Armageddon was alright, though extremely short, but 2017 just had a such a unique feel to it.

you should try the red faction and i mean the original for the pc is aforable and i thought it was pretty cool ...
gotta try this :D Its rare a game is justmade to just BE fun. and i think the lower graphics may be the reason it can havce so much thrown at you at once :0

This looks like one of those games where you would go to an arcade to play and then say "God damn, did I really just waste 25 cents on that?"
