I don't even own a 350 yet I still loved the video these ktms take hardly any oil, my old xr400 use to take around 2.5 l of oil makes me want to service the CRFX keep the videos coming cheers
Wow you must be bored mate this is the kind of video that should be used to put people to sleep 😎 Yeah guess that's part of the reason the old XRs never needed an oil change and these need em every time ya look at em 😅 Cheers Jack 👍
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that in the last decade we had EXCs here in the US as well. Seems like the lineup was SX EXC and MXC. I think it stands for Enduro Cross Country. Sx = Super Cross MXC = Moto Cross Country. KTM = Kronreif, Trunkenpolz, Mattighofen K for Ernst Kronreif and T for Hans Trunkenpolz. Founders. The M stands for Mattighofen which is the location of the KTM manufactoring facility in Austria. As I understand.
Cool info mate I always wondered what KTM stood for but never remembered to check it out. Was starting to believe maybe it really was something like Kick Ten Minutes or Keep Taking Money hahaha 😅 Cheers
Mate, great vid, no stuffing around and fluffing like so many other "how to" vids. Well done. Gotta ask, wtf is going on with the fuel tank breather? 😂
Yeah plus in this instance I wanted to flush out any shit that might have dropped into the head when I was doing the valve check the day before. As clean as ya try to be ya never know what's gotten in there. But yeah I warm it up each time to let the oil flow out better 👌 I understand what ya mean about circulating the dirty stuff but I think it all comes out easier when it's warmed. I could be wrong tho shit I ain't no qualified mechanic. Either way ain't gonna hurt tho.
The manual says 15 hours, but that is for hard riding/racing. For normal trail riding you can get away with 20-30 hours easy. We do this one at about 500km which usually amounts to around 20 hours :)
@@D_J_G88 😅😅🙏 I was talking about the other guy. He knows it's not the same fuckin process 😅 Well I hope he does anyway else there's no hope for him lol. But thanks for answering anyway just in case someone genuinely wants to know (gawd help us)
I own a 350 exc 2015 and I’m planning to change the oil myself but going online and trying to order a service kit I found out that the different sizes oil filters how do I know if it’s the long one or the smaller one to order
I'm not sure mate I wasn't aware there were different ones for the 350. I know my 500 uses a shorter thicker filter than the 350 though. The filters we get for the 350 look like this: www.mxstore.com.au/p/K-N-KTM-Husaberg-Husqvarna-KN-652-Oil-Filter/KN-652
How ironic my young fellow just did his 350 yesterday arvo but the difference was he did it twice as he was filling the bike up i asked why are you useing diesel oil in your bike and he said i am not useing diesel oil, i could not stop laughing as he uses penrite in his 4x4 he crabbed the wrong bottle lol i just sat there putting shit on him the hole time he was doing it the second time. They have to learn sometime 😂😂😂😂😂😂🍿🍿🍿🍿

@@MVDBR here in Arlington, Texas - it's $4,500.00 to rebuild a 505xcf - so I'm leaning Keep Taking Money!!!

Thanks bro. Haha yeah it's the wife's bike, wish she'd get rid of that fkn penis I'm tired of answering questions about it 😅
@@MVDBR your Mrs rides a 350 and is a fan of the D? You lucky bugger lol.
good video
Thanks mate!
2nd 😂🤣😂 nice job mate
Haha ya fuckin goober 👍
what cleaner spray do you use?
It's just like brake/parts cleaner or contact cleaner does the same job
First... Smash that oil change
You know you've made it on RUclips when people are proud of getting in with the first comment 😅
Yes, rest easy fella.... You've made it !
Its all beer and skittles from here
**dance**
Out of interest what interval does manual recommend oil changes?
Every 15 hours
Why when its warm ? seems like your circulating dirty oil before the change
Because when oil is cold it is thicker and clings to the inside of the motor 👍🏻

Bro can i ask you something ,after how many hours the oil is changed to 350 enduro ?

Hi, i have a 300 2 stroke, is the process the same?
Nah mate 2 strokes are a different game altogether. The engine lubrication comes from the fuel/oil mix they take.
The only oil you need to change is the transmission oil.
@@D_J_G88 ignore this twit he has a strange sense of humour 😅
@@MVDBR nah honest my old husky 2t 250 I only changed the transmission oil. Takes like 700ml or something like that.

I've just changed my oil. with 1litre in total with priming the filter as the manual says looks abit low on the spy glass am I just been paranoid.
I generally put some in to prime the filter and then a full litre in the crank case. Has been working well for us so far :)
So probably 1.1 / 1.2 litre in total. Thanks for the reply mate.
also dont lean the bike on the stand when your looking through he glass, hold up up straight to show its true level.
Hi. If i don’t have Brake cleaner i can use WD40? Or what do you recommend me.
No I think I would use gasoline rather than WD40. Just make sure everything is clean and dry before it goes back into the engine :)
MVDBR Enduro thank you so much 👍🏽✌🏼
@@-i.estrada5313 no problem
Contact cleaner works great
Isnt it 1.2l of oil not 1L
Nope 1L in the Aussie 2016 350. According to the manual 👍 Not sure about other years
Daniel Plummer i watched this an thought the same

Whoa lucky you were there to notice! Wonder what would happen running it on diesel oil lol probably only need changing every 30,000 km 😎
How does your ktm run on that oil? I use motorex or amsoil good yet expensive
Yeah fine, been using it for at least 2 years now with no dramas
MVDBR Enduro any valve issues
nah valves in spec every check so far
20th yes I've got 20th comment LOL
