Hey Db I'm glad i was able to catch this one live bad new the the next 2 post game shows i wont be able to catch them live because I'm at Grand Beach 26-29th and Caddy lake August 1-3 anyway this game was bad it was a defensive game but 9 points REALLY there was many mistakes by Winnipeg too many to win the Refs were not very good at all the PI call against Tyrell Ford was just horrible that was not PI. Zach C. was not good at all today he was downright bad he made a couple very good throws i will say that. Zach is regressing there is almost NO Question about that! yes maybe it would be different if we had everyone this season from 2023 with no injures this season but we will never know that. From what I see he is regressing. but its not all on 1 player its the whole team. Our veterans are just getting older i don't know what to say this team isn't very good anymore to answer Zach's question his regression is because of age in my opinion Yes i am frustrated that Tre ford isn't playing much at all for Edmonton I get it bring in a vet QB to help him learn but your 0-6 now PLAY TRE
If Demski does not fumble, it's a tremendous game against one of the division's top teams, which went down to the wire. Demski fumble, Collaros' int and underthrow in the 1st (waited too long), missed tackles (D & ST), huge 2nd down drops, route running, PI calls, key penalties especially in the 4th, and a subpar offensive line performance were some negatives. As much as they blitz Collaros, I'd like to see some screens. Beat the bad teams, get some guys back (Lawler's return will be huge), sneak into the playoffs, and win two games.
I seriously think the fatigue of losing back to back Grey Cups is hurting this team. They aren’t having fun out there anymore. Zach especially looks like his confidence is gone. I’m not sure if he no longer trusts his line or what. I’ll be very surprised if we don’t lose the next 3 games to Toronto and BC twice
What's also very frustrating is when you see the performance of every other QB in the CFL. They have more mobility and more zip on the ball. They get rid of the ball more quickly. And it matters, because the Bombers need to match that performance to have any chance of winning games. Unfortunately, the salary that Collaras has will limit any chance of bringing another QB at this stage. Maybe O'Shea will need to play Sreveler more often. More questions than answers.
Sask had a rookie RT, rookie LT & rookie receivers, yet it’s Collaros who looked like he was starting his first game. Seems like yolo balls in the red zone are just a weekly thing now.
We needed Matt Nichols to break his arm for Oshea to act on getting a replacement. Looks like we are in same boat with Zach, Bighill, Alexander, Jake Thomas. He will never let them go. The team is "trusting the process" the same way that lost them 2 GC's with low energy boring predictable offense and pathetic play from Collaros

Collaros age is catching up to him. Winnipeg better start developing quarterbacks for the future.
