So, Sue is suing Boar’s Head, and I don’t blame her one bit.
How does this happen???? I did R/D for a bakery that made meat sandwiches for Costco, Smart and Final and other stores, and we had a USDA inspector on the premises daily to prevent any contamination. So, how does a much larger company like Boar’s Head make a major mistake like this????

Meat is not only crazy expensive, but the health risks from American meat is just ridiculous. This is among another reason I'm plant-based. Yes, I know lettuce has been recalled due to listeria and E. Coli, yet the contamination usually happened from runoff from animal processing plants. Unless you raise your own animals or buy from local farmers, the supermarket meat quality is just too low and the health risk too high these days.

I work at publix and got listeria from there. Had to miss most of a month.Felt like i was dying and spending money i don't have on ER plus other DR.'s. When I came back we had a new manager who would not accept the Dr. notes and told me when I asked for my days back that what i earned working there has nothing to do with her. I had 5 days she's only giving me 1 to 2 day a week. As an middle age man who has bills that's messing with my livelihood. And she tried to bully me with a talk about how shes raised by an Army guy. Trying to say i should of worked with my virus . I did try 2 days ,but when you feel like death and from the place you work, it's hard. But had the pleasure to tell her i'm raised by a Marine and Nam Vet so don't even begin to talk to me about tough love and hard working . She did not like that and now is not giving me any days forcing me out. But she's going to be shocked because I have a great lawyer working with HR now. She and publix are in for it. Publix does not care about there employees or customers.
