I have varied other bikes that I will be making videos on in the near future. I lost my GoPro Hero 5 and just picked up a Hero * so I am getting use to it.
It's been fun. Love the hot rod Sportsters! There'll always be 'other' fast bikes in the world. Always has been. But hot Street Sportsters is where my heart has always been. Good luck with your foreign interests. "Sportster Clint" signin' out.
Yes I agree but I just had to move on. I put some money with it and picked up a 2014 KTM Superduke 1290R. I rode the KTM yesterday with a group of guys and it is a super bike! 180HP and it has a performance exhaust and an ECM so it is around 190HP at the crank and it is "The Beast".
let us know how your sales go and lets see the others.... its painful to let a batch of bikes go but you need to cull the herd sometimes to keep it strong and keep the interest going....cheers....
I love motorcycles and so I buy, build and sell them to keep me going. I do not do it to make any money, I do it for the love of owning and riding different bikes.
Hey Craig thank you for watching! I did let it go after building it an owning it for about 4 to 5 years. I put some the money that I got from this bike and added some to purchase my latest addition to by collection which is a 2015 MV Agusta 800 Brutale Dragster RR. The MV is a great street bike that I will be able to use more. This drag bike had just been sitting in my garage for the past year. The MV will also test my abilities as a motorcycle mechanic because there are no MV dealers in my state of Michigan.
Hey there Ryan I did sell it. I had not used it in a year and I used the money to buy a MV Agusta 800 Brutale Dragster RR which is a great Italian, super fast street bike. I also just picked up a KTM 1290 Superduke called "The Beast" . I am spending a lot of time with fast street bikes. I also own an Aprilia Tuono that has a V4 and 180 HP. My best pass with the XL was a 10.4 at about 127 MPH. The 3 street bikes I mentioned will all do those times and some much better.
I still have a nice rigid mounted street XL that runs in the high 11's and a 2018 Sport Glide so I have not given up on HD's but I have varied interests.
@@RedlineDR1200 Hey Ryan thank you! I have all different makes and models of bikes and currently have 9 great street bikes and I still have a clear license..knock on wood! At 67 it is easier to enjoy riding around home as to have to travel around the country. I am heading over to your site now because I thought I saw you built one of Dan's 1275 motors. It was a great motor for me but I just could not get enough compression out of it to further compete against the big boys and the demise of Super Street was disappointing and Hot Street was too much for me.
Hey George I changed around on my Buells also but I currently have a 1999 Thunderbolt and a 2009 1125CR. I love them both and I should take the time to review them in the future. Thanks for watching!!
@@motorcycleridingandrepair1627 Yes, please do. I have been looking at picking up a Thunderbolt for some time now. Just waiting on the right one to show her face. Also, is there any way I could get you to email me a Build List on your 1400cc Sporty? I have a 1998 XLH and I'm looking to beef up. Email: Georgeknox54@gmail.com. I appreciate your videos so much.
It would be great to see the rest of your bikes sometime in a future video. I have admired all the sportsters you have since I found your videos.

It’s a shame to see my idol sportster gone but I guess I’ll just have to build mine to replicate it. Such a nice bike and great videos mark !

I saw your video in 2017 and wondered how you did in the racing, this video was the answer to my wondering . Good job.
Another interesting video, Mark. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for watching and the comment Gary!!

That is one badass Sportster
Thanks Dennis!!
What size rim and tire combo are you using on the rear?
In the process of building a sportster drag bike. You have a recipe for this build?
Hey Mark... love this bike... did you let it go?

Got any header's for sale?
Can I have some info and specs on your swing arm? Car tire conversion?
I have a video on the build of the swing arm on my site. Thank you.
Hey Mark, been awhile! Did you sell the it then? What was your best et and mph with it?

Could a harley 48 be turned into a similar bike?
you could try but they weigh about 70 pounds more than the rigid mounted models
@@motorcycleridingandrepair1627 what year of sportster was this? Thanks for the reply
@@xanderfrench4011 It is a 1995 rigid mounted model that was discontinued in 2004 when they went to the rubber mounted motors.
