Hot tip: get some lacquer thinner (or other appropriate solvent) and, with appropriate ventilation on skin protection , remove the lacquer from the cymbal. Optionally, get some liver of sulfer and apply a "chemical patina". This will further reduce the brightness.
1:19 omg doesn't that give you awful dead leg oof i thought you where using a hard surface not your leg i can see the metal thing underneath the cymbal on your leg i assume it absorbed the impact enough not to destroy your femur but still when i realized that i cried for your leg lol
How has the cymbal held up over the years
That sounds waaaay much better!
thanks :D
i've finished up this ride since then, it's turned into a complex, crashable jazz ride. i'll record it soon!
@@doranoon10 cool! Planning to buy the crash 16" since it's cheap here in PH. Is it true that it's a B20 cymbal or it's just part of the name? Haha
@@emmanuelsilagan as far as i know, it's genuine b20
i've worked with b8, & it sounds really different from it
most importantly it sounds good!
@@doranoon10 you have a vid on the B8? Wanna look for some ideas hehe
@@doranoon10 i have a Kingdo B8 cymbal here and kinda similar to Arborea and Armada cymbals. Wanna experiment on it!
Hi, could you tell me exactly how much the plate weighs in grams? Thank you
Sounds like b8

Sounds ok

hahahah thankyu for the concern!
i've since shifted to using a practice pad & a plushie to absorb more of the impact so my legs don't self destruct
@@doranoon10 is their any update on this cymbal because an update video would be dope
sounds great for a cheap ride cymbal
I liked before for my own personal taste
to each their own!
I actually just ordered two 14” to use as hi hats. We will see how they sound in person.
Now it sounds like an cheap b8 cymbals
