Loved this podcast, Marine here, Jan 1999 to May 31, 2003!!! The few extra months was stop loss!!! I regret not trying harder to enlist again in 03, every single day, I'm now 45 and feel I should have went back with my brothers but Marine Corp said I was too broken!!! God had other plans, but I still regret it!!! He is exactly right, we will definitely come out the woods, guns blazing or whatever we have to protect our homes and our people, Bless u Marcus and Semper Fi brother!!!

Marcus brother we as taxpayers would pay whatever amount it cost us to come get you 10 times to come get you again. Much respect to you for everything you’ve gone through and to come home and someone shoot your dog for no good reason. Sorry sob. We’re glad you’re home brother and we greatly appreciate your efforts and thankful and grateful for your sacrifices. As a man that couldn’t go into the military, I tried they declined, I can never fully understand what you’ve gone through for the freedoms I enjoy daily and for that I’m forever indebted to you.

Half of what he is saying isn’t true. I was a Blackhawk pilot tasked with flying the seal team around southern. Afghanistan. His lies makes me angry in that all I risked to save his ass was for nothing.

Same I’ve seen a lot of it. Hope it’s all a bunch of smear pieces with no backbone but damn they seem to have a lot of facts backing it up. If that’s true it’s so unfortunate. Not trying to disrespect anyone. But I really hope regardless that the truth prevails.
@@kevinhennings3145 The Antihero Podcast Ep.66, is a good place to start. It's very disheartening to realize what the Navy is willing to do to save face. But, despite the truth about Marcus, there was still many heroes during Operation Red Wing that deserve acknowledgment.

Have yall heard the other seals talk about Luttrell being a rookie who froze up and his entire ‘hero’ story being made up to promote the seals? He was a seal and is no question an impressive guy for that alone but his red wings story is made up propaganda and really does not say much for his character.
Kind of sad learning that the guy who saved Marcus kind of exposed his story and lies. Either way this mans alive so i guess thats all that matters

Great job Dale... my son came home from CU Boulder in his freshman year and said 'I'm going to join the navy, I saw Marcus Luttrell speak and I'm going to be a Navy SEAL'. Well like most dreams and aspirations you know it will always be an uphill battle. Marcus you, and your comrades, are an inspiration that speaks volumes to young men across this nation, please keep it up. As for my son... well he is currently a combat medic in the Navy and a sniper instructor... 6 years a SEAL. He is the best of the best because of men like you. Please keep moving forward as our nation will benefit from those that are strong.
It’s hard to watch someone I used to respect and look up too…..but finding out that his story is fake just really brought me down. Same with Rob O’Neil not killing Bin Laden. SMH

5:03 Best use of my tax dollars the government has spent. You fought for my freedom when I couldn’t.
It is out he fled. The look is not PTSD the guilt from lying. He walked out did not crawl out and had all most full mags... HE walked to the rescue helicopter did not crawl. AXE was found 10 days later Lutrell Team leader near the extraction point the SEALS withheld that information of the extraction point for 8 days to cover up the failed mission. Axe was only dead 2 days from his wounds. may could have been saved. Lutrell lied about them all being dead he fled as they were asking him to help as the fire fight started. This was Lutrell's first mission first fire fight and the coward ran. POS. There was only 10 to 12 enemy they got surprised. ..He says first time I thought about this is the first time he lied... he pauses while telling some of the story to remember his lies. SHAMEFUL. Look around the true Seals are releasing the real story that was covered up.
Yes more to his rescue. 2 helicopters got shot down and were left a lot died it was a fiasco. The SEALS pulled off thier best people from the rescue helicopters because they knew they were heat seeking missle launchers in the area.. And of course the rescue team of Vanilla military the regular military flew into a shit show,.

I can see a fake from a mile away....i appreciate you going back if you did, that would be honorable. No military exp, but i will never leave anyone that I came with
i love this guy, I got to meet him once or twice while i was a contractor. He is the real deal, and very humble plus all around great guy. He isnt kidding about the the time frame of when it was the craziest over there. 01 to 06 was nuts. Not that its wasnt bad other times, but after awhile our government started to really come down hard on rules of engagement. This is one of the reasons contractors were used because we had very loose rules of engagement.
When you take a boy off a ranch turn him into a FROG and sprinkle some GOD in there you get a MAN .... 2 Legends right here...

@@javiergonzalez1194yep. The Pred feed shows him running away from the fight and abandoning his team. In the video of the ambush you can even hear his team yelling for him to come back.

When my mom died I spent 18 months in a dark hole I couldn't get out of or to work.. it sucked... I lost the 70lbs I put on.. took last 10mths to get the fat off..

I can’t lie the movie misled me like crazy I thought the SF guys had smoked like 30 of them Arabs before they was overrun and killed but then the actual video came out of the real fight and it was just 8 dudes and a camera man! I couldn’t believe 7 Arabs killed 4 SF guys really…… shit damn near broke my whole view on how good of fighters these Arabs are. To take out 4 SF guys with just 7 dudes is totally shocking to me. Did Marcus tell you about how he ran during the ambush when his team was smoked? He was rescued by Rangers and he still had 11 full mags of ammo. He also told them his whole team died. When in fact Axe was found 10 days later and was only dead for a day or two. Marcus is a coward and a liar.

Marcus was 100% correct when he mentioned the nicest guys being the real toughest guys. Look at Georges St. Pierre for example. The nicest, most polite guy you'd ever meet but when he stepped into the octagon he was the best there ever was

If I had 1 wish, I’d wish for Chris Kyle, Michael, Marcus, and all those service members who have given their lives for us Americans to have all of our freedoms. All those Service Member’s who have died. I’d take that one wish to have them all back on American soil, healthy, with their teams living close by and teaching civilians how much they have done for us.

Marcus Luttrell’s book Lone Survivor really helped me a lot. I have some medical issues that made me depressed and feeling alone as I am sick most of the time. It really put into perspective what a bad day really is. Having a positive mindset can get you through almost anything. ❤
go watch "the wrongest movie ever made - mark wahlbergs lone survivor". Unfortunately, it's almost all a nonsense story made up to cover for a horrible operation. They have all the receipts. Pretty sad living a lie, given how amazing the dude actually is.
Green Berets that rescued Marcus said he was carrying all full mags. He couldn’t recall where Axel was, they spent too much time listening to his bs story and May have been able to get A el out alive. They said when they found Axel, he was lying against a tree. Looked like he was dead for no more than a day and a half.
I love listening to Mr Marcus Luttrell. He gives me chills. Just watching and listening to his voice makes me have faith.

I’m so glad I happened upon this video. I didn’t know the host but when I saw Marcus I immediately clicked on it. I can’t tell you how relieved I was to hear Marcus say he wasn’t worried about us as a country. I’m so glad he is on this planet and that he is an American. His positive nature and Godly beliefs is such an inspiration. There was a divine reason he survived on that mountain, we need men like him more then ever. He needs to go back on the road talking to every day folks to help them hear and prepare for what’s happening in this world. God bless you both

I would legit watch a video on the proper rules and regulations to being in Texas. Also it's funny Mr. Luttrell mentioned atheists and fox holes. Not that Navy boot camp is all that difficult but something clicked for me pretty quick and I found God through the Navy. Certainly one of the greatest gifts I'd gained so far. I have to add that Mr. Luttrell and I share the same exact perspective on the "being in prison" analogy he has. I wouldn't call it prison, but I see those dying as God bringing them home. Wonderful conversation, thank you for posting this video.

good stuff. i was a contractor at FOB Lagman in 11/12 i remember seeing these green fields next to the base i was told they where the poppy fields.. right outside the walls and there was a SEAL base connected next to us good times
