It’s been 17 days since the declaration of martial law. During the days of the protests I was in Busan, people were singing songs, holding huge banners and yelling slogans. And a week later when I went up to Seoul, I think i heard this song being sang by the protesters
Martial law in some cases is succesful such as in places where there is so much crime like El Salvador where crime is abundant. So people supported the president who would enforce laws saying that if you even lookd like a gang member, you would get arrested. Due to the crime ridden state of that country, he was hailed as a hero due to them finally being somewhat free of crime. However, South Korea's martial law was simply to keep Yoon in power to save himself, but it ended up backfiring because Korea was previously under a military dictatorship and many alive when that happened and also many democracy protestors would protest.

I cried three times when watching the film for the first time. Its so emotional and it made me so aware of struggles of people. I visited the 5.18 memorial park in Gwangju just to pay respect for the fallen.
80년대 학번으로 오빠도 나도 시대를 그냥 못본체 할수없어 체류탄 맞으며 엄청나게 시위를 많이했는데 부모님한테 시위 가담 사실 들켜서 나무 옷걸이로 흠신 두들겨 맞고도(나만 맞은듯 ㅜㅜ)또 다음날 학교 정문에서 백골단과 마주했을 때 정문의 자욱한 최류가스 속에서 한남자의 외침이 들렸었다 '나와 싸우자 물러서지 말고!!' 난 홀린듯 보도블럭을 쥐고 정문 밖으로 나가 있는 힘껏 돌을 던지고 소리를 외친 남자를 보았다... 미친...오빠였다 지학교도 아닌데 와서 시위하는 빈신이 있나 기기찼다 집에서 서로 얼굴 못본지 한달은 지났을듯.. 백골단이 50미터 앞서 노려보는 와중에 최류가스는 자욱하여 눈물이 났다 '야 들어가라~~ 왜 니가 나오냐~~~으구' 백골단의 움직임이 시작될때 학우들이 몰려나와 오빠와 나는 눈물 콧물 흘리면 뒤로 후퇴... 그날 밤 집에 돌아와 최류탄을 뒤집어쓴 점퍼를 세수 대야에 담가놓았다. 그물에 세수를 한 아버지가 떼굴떼굴 울면서 소리치다가 내 머리통을 갈겼다 태어나 처음으로 손지검을 맞고 머리에 혹이 났다 오빠도 같이 있었다고 차마 말하지 않았다 1986년 직선개헌 싸움이 있던 시절의 이야기이다. 이노래가 나를 지난시절 감상에 빠지게 한다 오빠는 사고로 30대 중반에 돌아가셨다

Good luck. Been studying korean for like 4 years or so. I'm not gonna lie it's super hard to become fluent. Don't let them lie to you... it'll be like 6 months till you can read and write correctly. There are so many sound change rules... like 30 or 40 probably. Anyway good luck. Best advice is just keep trying. Korean grammar is 1 of the most difficult I the world.

As a Romanian our democracies have been established through blood (Gwangju uprising and Romanian revolution) and we are facing threats to democracy at the same time I do congratulate South Koreans on defending their democracy and I hope that we defend ours in the weeks and months ahead.

Every right-wing dictator has been funded and established by the US to thwart communists and socialists who worked for their people. And as for the current ""communist"" dictators, who have used this ideology as propaganda to make themselves the new emperors and capitalists of their nations, they rely on US imperialism to create the propaganda necessary to continue spending on military. The US is the greatest obstacle to peace in the world.

Good luck. Been studying korean for like 4 years or so. I'm not gonna lie it's super hard to become fluent. Don't let them lie to you... it'll be like 6 months till you can read and write correctly. There are so many sound change rules... like 30 or 40 probably. Anyway good luck. Best advice is just keep trying. Korean grammar is 1 of the most difficult I the world.
