Stars like Haaland and Ødegaard, and young talents playing for big european sides like Benfica, Dortmund and Napoli. Hopefully we can start qualifying for the first tournaments in 20 years.
Nearly 10 minutes and 1 single mention of KRC Genk (for Ndidi of all players), nice mauve bias there. They produce both excellent academy players and buy great underrated foreign players for cheap every generation whilst being among the financially healthiest clubs in the league. The Champion's League would literally not be the same without Genk players, can the same be said about Anderlecht?
Also my reaction, no mentions for the academy of KRC Genk or the great UCL run of Club Brugge, thats how europe looks at Belgium, they only see Anderlecht, a club that is in the mid tier of belgian football for more then 10 years
@@lennert48 "a club that is in the mid tier of belgian football for more than 10 years" now you're showing your OWN bias. They won the league 3 times in the last 10 years and only finished outside the top 6 twice as wel. Club Brugge is the only team that is more succesful in the last 10 years.
I mean about the video is nothing wrong, he says anderlechts academy is the best cause lots of players from their academy makes it in the belgium squad. while we all know Genk's academy is as good as anderlechts. I think the problem is more that most people in the belgium bond are very anderlecht bias, how no one of genk got chosen to the world cup, and so on.
@@wannesdebock9300 How so? The video is about the Pro League as a talent factory and in recent times ex players from Genk have been at least as impactful in European football as Anderlecht's. For every Kompany and Lukaku there's a Courtois, KDB or Malinovsky.
This video should be named "how Anderlecht is un underrated Talent Factory!" Other clubs are working hard and the fact that Club Brugge U23 team is way above Anderlecht's U23 in the second division says a lot. Club Brugge have provided within a single year players being sold or to be sold for at least 10 millions €: Loïs Openda, De Ketelaere, Noa Lang, Bjorn Meijer, Tajon Buchanan and Ferran Jutgla. Arne Engels is powering up in Augsburg. Genk got Khalidou Koulibaly, Sander Berge, Timothy Castagne, Ruslan Malinovskiy, Leandro Trossard, Wilfrid Ndidi, Sergei Milinkovic-Savic,Thibaut Courtois and Kevin De Bruyne and you've heard of Bilal El Khanouss at the WC 2022. Gent got Jonathan David, Samuel Gigot, Kalinic. Standard got Benteke (also Genk), Dante. Actually, it's pretty nice talking about Belgium: they provide nearly no world-class players but still very decent ones, even for the top leagues.
Club Brugge U23 team is way above because they have another filosofy on that u23 team. They've also played in the second league before and were very very poor. RSCA does much better with more youth players in their first season. Yeah other academies in Belgium are very good and shouldve been mentioned more but rsca is still clear
Aren't Belgian and Dutch clubs run very differently? From my outside and observation I feel like the Dutch clubs in general are very close to their local community, pretty conservative and doesn't sell out. They fill their squads with mainly domestic players and give inexperienced players many chances to prove themselves. While the Belgian clubs are much more likely to sell out to foreign capital, fill their squads with a lot of foreign players, take bigger risks in the transfer market and disregard new signings after their first mistake. Yet the clubs from these countries receive similar results and talent output. Fascinating. But I can understand why Dutch clubs are reluctant to plans of a joint league with the Belgian clubs. In my country Sweden the Eredivisie is seen as a fantastic stepping stone for talented players while the Pro League is seen as a career killer where an injury or manager change is enough for a player to no longer be treated as a human being. From the annual UEFA benchmarking reports "The European club footballing landscape" one can also note that the revenue mix for clubs in the two leagues differ somewhat, where Belgian clubs have a significant portion of subsidies/donations compared to the Eredivisie. So my conclusion is that the Eredivisie will be stable in the long run with its self-sustainability while the Belgian clubs are much more dependent on keeping hitting the jackpots in the transfer markets to keep external investors positive and keep investing.
The reason is that the minimum wage for non EU players in Belgium is a lot lower than in the Netherlands, so it's a lot cheaper to just import players from out of Europe
at the moment everything is going right for belgian clubs bcus the scouting network is just amazing... its not accidentally that these guys are being bought for 2-5 million and sold for 20+mil

And obviously just because they have a young average age it doesnt mean they are all insanely talented. But Alkmaar's youth academy is probably the best right now from both countries which finally made international headlines as well easily winning the youth champions league beating the likes of Real,Barca,Sporting etc. In the netherlands you see much more Dutch players get developed from early age whereas Belgium seems to have more of a focus on foreign talent like a Beveren with a strong link to Ivorian talent.
Im an Anderlecht fan and its been hard lmao but still our academy is really strong and even with this extremely bad season we have players that are on the wishlists of big clubs.
This really looks like a Anderlecht show in this video, as a belgian myself i can tell you all that Anderlecht hasnt had this impact like they show in this video, the only reason why Anderlecht had so many players in the world cup is the friendship between Kompany and Martinez, and look what it brought us. Club Brugge had more impact on the league in the last 8 years then all other clubs combined, sadly this video doesnt show that at all. Foreigners only look at Anderlecht and they dont look at other clubs. KRC Genk is as an academy the best you can have in Belgium (De Bruyne, Praet, etc). I would highly suggest to mention the other facts aswell. Sorry but it is the truth.
Friendship with kompany was why there were more rsca players? LOL Kompany is gone and so is the trainer, let’s see how he did it: Bornauw, Debast, faes, saekemaekers, onana, mangala, lavia, lukaku, Lukebakio, Bakayoko are from rsca youth… in last interland. Dedoncker, denayer, Tielemans, januzaj, doku and Batshuayi weren’t there but played recently for the Red Devils too all also rsca youth and several will play again, like doku as he was injured and Tielemans idem. Players that have no spot in the team are players that have no spot in theirs, like Charles de ketelaere. Clearly not the level to go above the Belgian league. Also, mangala is soooo much better than vanaken, plays forward and has character, unlike vanaken. We’ll see, but after the first 2 games cdk showed he has no added value, just like in Milan. Mangala was very nice and his plays gave a goal. And Debast is clearly the future rock of the defense. If you’re to biased to see that, you’re an idiot. 19 and already a lot of experience and quality. Him and the keeper are the reason rsca went so far in the conference league and we’re the only ones on level. Bornauw has some way to go and denayer I agree.
Video was alright. It certainly is obvious from this vid that you haven't watched a game ever and you only talked about the 'bigger' teams like Anderlecht who's academy is nothing better than Cercle Bruges, Gent's or Genk's academy. Anderlecht placed 11th this season and fell off hard the last decade. Genk is easily a more important club these days for the national squad and natioan youth squads compared to Anderlecht looking at KDB, Courtois, Casteels, Carrasco, Castagne, Trossard and the U15 until U21 is full of Genk players but you choose to talk only about Anderlecht. Mertens played only a couple years in Anderlecht youth until U18 and was then found too tiny for them and got send away so Anderlecht should NEVER get credit for him. Belgian league is way harder to succeed in as a player compared to the Eredivisie. Rather had someone who actually followed the league even a bit make a video about it, because Wikipedia does not tell you the whole story as you can see.

Ehhh. An almost 10 minute video, talking about Anderlecht for half of it, and only ONE mention of Genk? How ridiculous is that?! Genk are as important to the Belgian league's talents as are Anderlecht, and perhaps even more so in recent years. We haven't provided the most talents maybe, but quality over quantity, see Kevin De Bruyne, Courtois, Casteels, Trossard, Carrasco, Castagne, Benteke... and then you have talents coming through such as Ndidi, Koulibaly, Milinkovic-Savic, Berge, Bailey, Mæhle, Malinovskyi....... And many more. I was excited for a video about the JPL, but this feels poorly researched.
I think the JPL is really good for the limited budget they have, really underrated. I mean just look at Anderlecht, they won more European trophies than Manchester City😂
Pity to focus so much on only Anderlecht and not on other Belgian clubs, which also have good youth academies. also something important you forgot to mention, Kindermans will not be with Anderlecht for long. He is still in his notice because RSCA considers his expensive contract no longer marketable.
3 Belgian clubs in quarterfinals of European competitions this year? They are only behind Italy with 6 clubs. In Champions League, 2 Milan clubs are fighting for the one spot in Istanbul. In Europa League, Juventus and Roma will likely play in Budapest.
Genk provide the best players but they only become champion once every four or five years as they have to rebuild each year: their teams depend each year mainly on 1 or two players.
just make fckng video about anderlecht then, and forget about the performance of Bruges in the CL. Anderlecht has good youth, sentence finished. They didn't even get play-offs this year.

Lol barely any mention of Club Brugge, AA Gent or KRC Genk (Courtois,De Bruyne ring a bell ?) Surface level video barely any depth except for Anderlecht
Amazing idea x
Good list 👍
I think the J-League would be a good video. Japans footballing rise over the last 30 years has been remarkable!
Next star is Arthur Vermeeren from Antwerp
Genkies 4 ever!
How about an Explained about the Polish league? There's rarely any talk about it.
rip bruges prestation in the champions league
I think the JPL is really good for the limited budget they have, really underrated. I mean just look at Anderlecht, they won more European trophies than Manchester City😂
Please do a video on the league of Ireland
good vid
Pity to focus so much on only Anderlecht and not on other Belgian clubs, which also have good youth academies. also something important you forgot to mention, Kindermans will not be with Anderlecht for long. He is still in his notice because RSCA considers his expensive contract no longer marketable.
Very interesting
Weird you didnt mention Genk🤔
3 Belgian clubs in quarterfinals of European competitions this year?
They are only behind Italy with 6 clubs. In Champions League, 2 Milan clubs are fighting for the one spot in Istanbul.
In Europa League, Juventus and Roma will likely play in Budapest.
No clue why Amadou Onana didn’t chose Senegal they’re a force.
It is a shame they never did combine the Dutch and Belgian leagues together, it would have been incredible
No!
I thought Genk has the best academy, with a number of belgian golden generation came from Genk's academy
Genk provide the best players but they only become champion once every four or five years as they have to rebuild each year: their teams depend each year mainly on 1 or two players.
Together with Anderlecht they do have the best academy. Sad to see he didn't even mention Genk. Feels poorly researched
BeNe League would be great.
Anderlecht fanboy
Morocco does not have most non EU players on Belgium. It's Japan.
6:56 well Vitesse were being funded by Roman Abramovich so not quite the same 😂
Wait Brussels is majority foreign dang
Thats why most Belgians don’t like to go to Brussel, because you only see foreigners 😂
I would like an explained on the J league it's has massive talent 👏 👌
just make fckng video about anderlecht then, and forget about the performance of Bruges in the CL.
Anderlecht has good youth, sentence finished. They didn't even get play-offs this year.
Very one-sided view... no mention of Genk or Club Brugge?
what about Japan football, u have 3 or 4 at Celtic and Mitoma at Brighton.
We did exactly that a couple months ago! Check out the playlist!
I've been saying this the last couple years
I mean there was a bit more to Noa Lang getting let go....
?
I like how you say “dominated especially by British”.While British have one 2wice since Bayerns 2012-13 treble winning. (Chelsea n Liverpool) This should be only n only given to Spain. Not Britain
Should we not use spain, and instead say madrid?
They could just keep all these players to win the UCL et cetera.
that really hard for a team in belgium bc we dont have the money to do that like other big clubs.
They have khannous now 18 years best player in the league play for genk the future de Bruyne
Old Anderlecht player 😂
He is incredibly overrated. His stats are very poor too
So why is Charles De Ketelaere so bad?
Bruges meme. They fell for the Bruges meme.
Krc Genk ???? best talent factory of belgium
it could be better get rid of the play of system.
MURILLOOOOO
How come Anderlecht gets so much attention, they only have the racist Lukaku who is any 'good' at the moment. Good at making penalty goals at least.
Not a single mention about Genk, while they have the best academy at the moment. Best midfielder and best goalkeeper in the world are Genk products. De Bruyne and Courtois. Also not a single mention about Trossard? |
Very biased and uninformed EFD!
JPL is so trash, players stay there for 6months and leave. Check their league systeme its so bad
Very bad take, coming from someone who probably doesn't know anything about the history and has never watched a JPL game in their lifetime.
J league is underrated bro
I compare it to leagues of its standart like the portuguese. Less budget but more entertaining and competitif then belgish league wit an american system. Players from erdevise go there for a tryout lmao. They couldn‘t compete with 2nd Bundeslinga honestly. St Gilleois is an exception this year otherwise there is only Anderlecht (who are not the same since 2017). Only players that are know are KDB played 1 year at Genk, Lukaka played 1 year for Anderlecht and what next Trossard like no JPL is helll a trash
@@ynohj.uchia10 de bruyne playde 5 years in the belgium top league 2008>2012.
lukaku played there for 3 years 2009>2011.
They also had players like; koulibaly, jonatan david, victor osimhen, ...
So they have one of the best developments in the world
@@ynohj.uchia10Have you ever watched the jupiler pro league? its one of the most competitive leagues in Europe. I guess you haven't when i read your comment
Why is mitoma on the thumbnail, he was only in the jpl on loan for one year, its not like he was a youth player there
But helps to sell its rethoric...
He used the pro league as a stepping stone, as said in the video
The chapter is called 'the stepping stone' and Brighton use USG as a stepping stone for potential premier league prospects
