The green and aluminum films on both sides of the foam board prevent any adhesive (even contact cement) to melt the styrofoam core.
I agree with you that the film does prevent it from melting the insulation..
it’s also very easy to accidentally poke through the film with the tip, and the green came off in a few places, and there are a few spots where, if you applied it very heavy, it could be squeezed between the raw wood and raw styrofoam… so I was probably being overly cautious… but that’s how I roll!! Haha

@@mikesniedze9122 I didn't have that "piercing" concern in my own application because I sprayed contact cement on the luan and on the insulation, it is also quite quick to apply but you can't reposition the items to be glued if you misplaced them...
Interesting … I use spray contact adhesive all the time at the mill work shop I work at … too late now I’m afraid .
I’ve gotten some good tips AFTER I post my videos… I should make some that tell everyone my plans, and then wait for the solid advice before construction 😀
