The rear adjustable sight can be removed and replaced with a Romeo One. I own a standard X5 and have used it to shoot a USPSA Match and it performed exceptional well for having a price point under 1000 dollars.
people bitch about the weight , but if you're using it for duty how is it day to day? Love it for run and gun , fast follow ups .. dead on, like butter.
A big thank you to KSGunguy for supplying the X5 for the channel. Will be waiting to see the full review, Great shooting Mrs. Outlaw....”It doesn’t suck” lol
Thanks for the review. I got this firearm for my birthday last month and I love it! Believe the hype! This pistol is all that. This is one fantastic firearm and it's a nice compliment to my Sig P320 X Compact.
Hey Honest outlaw I just got mine about 3 weeks ago, I love it!!!! Awesome shooter, soft recoil, accurate, no complaints, have about 200 rounder through it, no failures whatsoever, great pistol, I highly recommend this Sig, new subscriber here, look forward to your future videos, thanks!
I just put one on layaway when I first heard they came out!!! Cant wait to shoot it!!! Love the ergonomics and all the features u get for the price. Way 2 go Sig!!!
I purchased my x5 legion when it first came out for 750, it came with four 21 round magazines. First time shoot it, it shot about 3 inches low out the box. Once adjusted it shot smooth
Winds can definitely affect elevation brother. Your round has a right twist (typically) and when that twist is met with wind, depending on direction, it can either sink, or raise the strike of the round.
Solid review with honest video. I really appreciate you not editing to make unrealistic hero film. I think you did great. One thing I notice you do that I’m working on changing is you’re slow to reset the trigger at distance or on more precise shots. I’m learning to rush the reset, focus on trigger prep and then send the shot under control vs snapping the shot at the sound of the reset. Maybe I’m nuts but maybe try that. I could give some credentials to sound credible but when all is said and done, I’m a student as much as an instructor. Love what you do. Thanks for the great content!
Just picked mine up. Out of the box it's a keeper. Easy shooting. Spring a bit light. A couple of times the slide needed to get bumped into battery. Took it home and did some changes. I switched the mag release button, took out the magazine disconnect switch, changed out the spring to the purple one and finally installed the Romeo X. Now I'm ready to get back on the range and take it out for a 2nd range test
Drop discharge was extreme military testing. Even then, SIG was transparent about the issue, offered free voluntary upgrades and improved the product. Overall, SIG is blowing the doors off the competition! Innovation, included features (including night sights), military contracts and massive volume. Quality control has gone up. There may be hiccups with new models, but they stand behind the products with support. Another thing about SIG; variety of models and price points. Literally, they have a gun for everyone; P365 to full-size Legions. I wish SIG would offer more choices of finish, e.g. stainless.
@@AGreatImage The drop discharge wasnt extreme military testing. They received backlash because they corrected the issue on the military model but sent out a faulty model to civilian and Leo, with some Leo's actually getting injured from the gun firing without the trigger getting pulled
Wow! Thanks for the clarification! I was lucky to have purchased my X-Carry after the updates! (I knew that it was a drop-safety updated model before purchase.)
I think we have a Sig that Outlaw truly likes now!!! Wife is an awesome shooter also! She managed the hell out of that recoil! Great video as usual bro!
Sights on that gun are great for competition and fast acquisitions, but they are not target sights . I found out that thicker front blade helps with long distance shooting
I bought one before our laws changed as one of the last handguns I’ll be allowed to own and purchase. Paid 1700 Canadian for it. Had to wait 6 months for the paperwork to get processed. Finally had it sent to me and it arrived last week. Have not had a chance to get it to the range yet but your video certainly has got me excited about shooting it, just itching to go right now. I own a standard SigP320 in 40Sw and really enjoy shooting it. I’m hoping this gun will allow me to get into IPSC and be competitive as i didn’t have 5000 to shell out for a comp gun with all the bells and whistles. The way the laws are now I cannot even sell it if I don’t like it, so I’m stuck with it regardless. Enjoy your videos 😬👍
Held one at my local shop the other day. Super cool. Gotta get one asap. I'm not a huge sig fan either but this one may change my mind. I still have the 17L waiting for you to review when you're ready. Stay safe bro.
Oh wow!! I'm so fuckn jealous! I've been reading/watching videos about this gun for months! The gun I've been drooling over! Lol it's so beautiful! The Gray, the slide cuts to make it lighter, the Xgrip, the fiber optic sight, the trigger.. all of it! Great video
Dude its awesome how your wife came out to shoot with you in this video! Very original, and the review on the X5 Legion was great. You have earned a new subscriber my friend.
Just found your channel yesterday. THANK YOU & looking forward to your new videos! You are a pro, but I’ll throw a tip out there anyway for everyone: For ANY new gun that you are not accurate with, load a few snap caps and watch for ANY movement of the sights while the trigger is pulled. Every gun is different, as is every person. This has helped me and my friends significantly. Then it is just a matter of figuring out the sights.
You're killing me dude lol I was all in on this thing, now I'm 50/50 on either this or the shadow. I'll still wait for the full review....I had all intentions on buying the Legion at the end of the week lol
what did you end up getting brother? i am currently selling my p229 legion for a shadow 2 OR / X5 Legion or going all in on axg pro... too much choice :D
Mostly good, but from a machine rest the gun was doing 4 inch groups at 15 yards. I had several light primer strikes even though striker was cleaned and not lubed per manufacturer instructions (400 rounds of Sellier & Bellot). Regarding red dot sights: the Romeo 1 and Nikon P-Tactical Spur DO fit IF the sight mountings holes are reamed out ever so slightly AND 8-36 screws are used. The gun comes with a 12 and 14 pound recoil spring. It comes with three 17 round magazines with the aluminum base plate, and they are a pain to get seated well. I ended up getting the extended 21 rounders.
My 320 x carry legion has similar sights and was shooting low. The suppressor sights were bulky. I had them replaced with sig M18 sights. This is a good set up.
sigs use a combat sight picture. Glocks use the pumpkin on the fence picture. You have to put the front post on top of your target. I couldn't stand it until I got used to it.
Sig typically indexes the sights such that you need to completely cover the intended target with the center of the front sight to hit POA. If you align the top of the sight with the intended target in traditional fasion, you will always hit low. Even given your troubles with this gun, you are a much better shot than me, so bravo.
Can you compare the x5 vs the rival S and shadow 2? Did you the 1000 round review yet? Do you consider the rival S to have a higher over the bore axis then the signal?Thank you for the great videos!
I second that one!! Her remark had me laughing. She would be fun on the videos to joke and talk. Watch out Honest Outlaw, she may have her own channel and outpace your sub base lol (if she doesn't already!). :)
I shot one of these with a red dot not too long ago. It was like a freaking laser beam! I'm not surprised how well You hit with it at those distances. Typical Chris 🔫😎🤘🏼 Keep at it! Thanks for sharing.
Looks like Mrs. Honest Outlaw was right; it was the wind. I also found it interesting that your grouping at ten yards was equivalent to the IWI Masada. I will wait to see how the 1000 round review goes, but so far it looks like the CZ Shadow 2 has nothing to fear from Sig in regards to a 1000 dollar race gun give or take 200 bucks. Great review as always!
Interesting way to rack the slide at 9:00 with the thumb and ride it forward... and tap it into battery. Was that intentional or just some goofiness from spending so much time shooting
It doesn't surprise me at this point to see the gun barely or not moving at all when you shoot. What left me in awe was when your wife shot, and the gun, too, did not move. So, either your wife's a natural, or you're one hell of a teacher. Thanks for the video mate, very interesting.
You might owe KSGunGuy a beer if he's the one that sent this to you. That's a good friend. Edit: thought so, caught his live steam the other day. Have to agree that I'd rather have the CZ Shadow 2 over this as good as it is.
I have had a S2, and currently have a Q5 SF and a X5 Legion and I much prefer the X5 Legion. I could be wrong but I think he got a bad example of one or some other issue. Maybe the full review can shed light on that.
Hey, would it be possible for you to get a CZ SP-01? I know that it wouldn't compare to the Shadow, but maybe a poor man's Shadow? Would really appreciate your 2 cents on it. I would also like your input on the p226. Love your videos
Yo, Brother Honest, I think your better half called it....you were hit by the dreaded, but rare, "ballistic wind shear". So like she said, wind pushing your shots down caused ya to have to aim high. When you've been married 46yrs you learn to just say "yes, dear. Wind shear". Gr8 vid. L8r.
I would love to see you do a shoot out with the regular x5 and the Legion. And you are correct 2011's rule the day for speed, but also drain the bank account.
Seems like the ejection pattern of the casings is very poor They fall right at your feet I think the CZ frame an slide fit helps with the flipping seeing that the CZ slide fits deeper down into the frame ... That makes the recoil seem to go straight back an not much of s upward motion..
Thanks for video and KSgunguy donating X5! I believe that package comes with two springs too? And the 21 rd mags I like better too stickin out more than the flush ones w pack. Also observations, can u give a little explanation on the trigger action you trained with, for example after pullin the trig so to speak you tend to hold/pause to rear then come off reset immediately? I found interesting....as opposed to coming off trigger with clear reset then pause and let her rip again etc....???
Curious what was the ballpark cost of your setup there. And are you ever afraid of annoying neighbors, thats one of the things that makes me hesitate to go out and shoot alot.
New shooter here so pardon my ignorance but, is he "riding" the reset? Isn't it preferable to be already reset and back to the trigger wall by the time the recoil is over? That way you're firing the next shot when you get your good sight picture again, not firing immediately upon feeling the reset? Or is it just that he is able to hold a good sight picture throughout and therefore as soon as he feels the reset he is able to shoot again?
Always enjoy watching an expert! Sad to say is that your wife can probably outshoot me-Lol. I have a Sig p238 which is a little jewel, but with the ac problems that Sig has had recently, I'll stick with my ppq m2 and recommend that my grandson keep his H&k vp9...German engineering at its best@!

Those are my kind of church bells playing a fine tune.
It's tue the gun does fire low to the target. I'm not sure if they corrected it with a newer model.
I’m excited for the full review!
It's cut for romeo 1 pro , romeo 1t which just released, the promised romeo 2 which who knows when, and the deltapoint pro
Dumb cuestion, wouldn’t make more sense to use a normal polymer body and add an extra competition weight in the rail?
Murphy82nd that makes sense, inertia would make it way harder, thanks mate
Nice. 😎👍🏼
Cool review and can’t wait to hear more.
If you can do less than an inch at 10 yards, I can beat that with a 5 inch group at the same distance. Bigger is better?
I wouldn't worry about that little guy....good stuff
I would love to see you do a shoot out with the regular x5 and the Legion. And you are correct 2011's rule the day for speed, but also drain the bank account.
2011s (since are SAO) are not legal in a bunch of competition divisions.
Cut for a Sig Romeo Pro/Delta Point Pro, not the old Romeos. It's made for the new Romeo 1T and Romeo 2 that will have the same DPP footprint.
Love a Sig! - what are your thoughts on the Walther PPQ?
It's one of his faves he claims in some of his other reviews.

You have a beautiful wife be sure to tell her that, the gun aint bad either ;)
Just picked one up! Great price and feel.

I think the CZ frame an slide fit helps with the flipping seeing that the CZ slide fits deeper down into the frame ...
That makes the recoil seem to go straight back an not much of s upward motion..
If you change the size of all targets and the thickness you can play music with that thing.
Still sticking with a shadow for my next gun, or possibly a stock 2. Shot my first match last Sunday and loved it!!!
nice I'd take the shadow too
Aren’t all the new P320s cut for the new Sig Romeo which also shares the same footprint as the Deltapoint Pro?
IT could be he case
